E.R.
visits
for
a
cancer
patient
who
is
not
eating,
in
pain,
dizziness,
and
can
not
walk.
We
were
discharged
twice
and
never
admitted
and
the
patient
has
declined
further.
Called
to
speak
with
E
R.
manager
left
voicemail.
Called
again
asked
for
the
president
because
Elizabeth
Early
needs
to
know
what's
going
on
in
her
hospital
but
Treasure
refused
to
transfer
and
instead
sent
us
to
patient
relations.
On
our
first
visit
we
had
a
bit
of
a
wait
and
finally
got
in
only
to
do
scans,
bloodwork,
and
got
1
IV
that
they
didn't
let
finish
and
we
were
discharged.
They
said
they
didn't
find
anything
wrong.
Well
as
a
hospital
that
has
a
cancer
center
there
is
definitely
something
wrong.
They
sent
us
home
with
prescriptions
for
a
person
who
cannot
keep
food
down
so
run
up
a
bill
and
send
us
home
and
call
the
work
done?
Unacceptable.
On
our
second
visit
two
weeks
later
on
01/29,
we
got
there
at
3
p.m.
and
did
not
get
into
an
E.R.
room
until
10:30/
11pm.
While
we
waited
they
brought
us
to
triage
then
returned
us
to
the
waiting
room.
They
had
us
come
back
for
blood
work
and
returned
us
to
the
waiting
room.
They
did
a
scan
and
returned
us
to
the
waiting
room.
The
patient
sat
in
her
depends
for
hours
after
I
alerted
the
staff
that
we
cannot
walk
and
may
need
bathroom
assistance
soon.When
the
patient
complained
of
chest
pain
I
alerted
the
waiting
room
staff
and
we
were
then
back
and
put
in
a
room
by
someone
who
said
this
is
as
far
as
they
could
take
us.
Then
a
nurse
came
we
explained
the
mobility
issue
and
the
nurse
said
sge'd
get
someone
to
help
but
left
us
in
the
room
and
closed
the
blinds.
When
the
patient
expressed
concern
about
being
forgotten
I
went
to
check
on
the
help
we
were
promised
only
to
find
the
nurse
casually
talking
to
her
coworkers.
I
stood
outside
the
nurses
station
and
was
not
noticed
until
I
interrupted
them
and
the
nurse
who
promised
help
asked
me
what
I
needed
help
with
so
we
were
actually
forgotten.The
nurses
asks
the
same
questions
even
when
they
type
notes
no
one
is
communicating
with
each
other
in
this
hospital.
Also,
the
patient
has
small
veins
and
staff
did
not
listen
to
her
about
how
best
to
take
her
blood
they
kept
saying
let
me
try
instead
of
listening
and
trying
a
different
plan.
They
stuck
the
patient
with
needles
7x
be
causing
pain
and
medical
trauma
ma
to
a
cancer
patient
before
they
used
an
ultrasound
machine.
Patient
was
dehydrated
because
of
excessive
vmoiting
and
when
we
asked
for
a
second
IV
the
nurse
took
everything
down
and
he
said
he's
not
giving
a
second
IV.
We
asked
the
E.R.
doctor
on
shift
and
he
said
of
course
a
second
IV.
Why
does
this
make
sense
to
the
doctor
and
not
the
nurses?
It
is
also
dirty
in
this
E.R.
the
floors
are
filthy
even
in
the
writing
room
fluids
from
patients
on
the
floor
no
one
to
come
mop.
I
have
used
Gottleib
for
PT
after
a
car
accident
and
an
older
cousin
got
a
hip
replacement
there.
I'm
not
sure
what
happened
after
the
pandemic
but
there
is
no
care
at
Gottlieb
Memorial.
They
don't
even
deserve
to
be
part
of
the
Loyola
system
unless
this
treatment
is
a
reflection
of
what
Loyola
is
now.
Our
best
care
happens
at
Elmhurst
Hospital
and
I
recommend
anyone
having
issues
with
Gottleib
to
go
to
Elmhurst.
There
are
a
bunch
of
people
who
entered
the
healthcare
profession
for
money
and
not
vocation
working
at
Gottleib.
We
learned
from
a
medical
professional
that
what
Gottleibdid
was
inhumane
and
honestly
there
should
be
an
appropriate
consequence
for
the
mistreatment
of
my
loved
one.
And
I
will
find
it.
