It takes a lot for me to leave a review, let alone a negative one, but this might be the worst chipotle in the United States. Used to be great a few years ago, now, I haven’t gotten a correct order in my last 4 orders (I should’ve learned my lesson and just went to the north shore mall!). Place is always a mess, orders are never right, and of don’t even think about ordering double meat as you’ll be lucky to get a single portion! Just a horrible location, and not sure who’s to blame here, but man, just get Taco Bell instead 😂

Just not run well. Slow. Endless lines. Ordered online and had an hour long wait past pickup time. Made the mistake of trying again, and waited 1.5 hours past pickup time. No communication with any customers waiting. Never coming here or ordering here again. UPDATE: Year later and I thought... I'll give them a second chance. Placed order online only to see the sign on the door in Photo 2 on the door. Fail.

This Chipotle continually reinforces its position as the worst Chipotle I've been to in my entire life. Every couple of months I start to forget my previous experience and decide to try it again but this last (and final) visit really cemented its position at the bottom of the barrel. We placed an order through the app, were told it would be ready in 15 minutes, and once we arrived at the store the staff informed us there was an hour and a half delay in online pick up orders. By the time we got our food, the store was out of pretty much everything but slightly uncooked rice, beans and salsa. I'd recommend this place to anyone that isn't really that hungry, has some money to burn and over an hour to kill!

Had made a Uber eats order and they messed up the whole order. My steak bowl was Shredded pork. I asked for no beans or rice, the whole bowl was beans and rice and they added a unholy amount of sour Cream. I even had Queso in my bowl and I didn’t even ask for that. How do you get a whole bowl wrong? Chipotle, why have you become the Spirit airlines of fast food. You use to rock around Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s. How have you fallen from grace.

I can't recommend this Chipotle location. In the past half dozen times I've last ordered from here, the meals have not been good at all. Our last order was completely botched - no fajita veggies, wrong type of rice, no lettuce, missing salsas, not much quantity, and almost completely cold (even though we picked it up as soon as it was ready and had it home in less than ten minutes)... Other times rice has been severely undercooked, orders made incorrectly. Another time the location was suddenly completely closed when we got there because there were no workers, even though our online order said it was fulfilled and ready to be picked up in the app. Maybe other locations in the area are still okay, but we've given up on this location.

This is seriously the worst chipotle I’ve ever been to. If you can even manage to find a time when they are open the bowls usually look like this. Not worth the money!

Every time I’ve gone to this location has been a mistake. They’re either out of some essential ingredient like rice or chicken and it’s a gamble on whether or not the rice or beans will be undercooked or not. They’re so woefully understaffed it takes 25 minutes to get through a line of six people. It’s always dirty. Tables are never cleared. Today they were out of small drink cups and would only accept cash if you had exact change. Yikes.

It is with great regret and a profound sense of disillusionment that I recount my harrowing experience at the Chipotle establishment, which can only be described as a descent into the abyss of culinary ineptitude. As a loyal patron of the arts of gastronomy, I approached this venture with a modicum of hope, only to be thrust into a nightmarish ordeal that left me questioning the very nature of existence. From the outset, the shortcomings of this establishment became glaringly apparent. To my disbelief, they were consistently bereft of essential ingredients such as cheese, beans, rice, and even vegetables on occasion. This surreal occurrence, which I can only describe as the ultimate manifestation of cosmic irony, rendered the mere concept of a burrito a farcical pursuit. One might as well have attempted to construct an architectural masterpiece with dry sand in a desert. To compound matters further, it became readily apparent that the management exhibited no semblance of control or training over the youthful denizens responsible for operating this purgatory masquerading as a restaurant. The children, lost in their own abyss of incompetence, seemed oblivious to the gravity of their roles. They lacked discipline, proficiency, and an understanding of the fundamental principles governing the culinary arts. It was as if they had been thrust into this cruel theatrical performance without proper preparation or guidance, leaving them to flounder like lost souls in Dante's Inferno. The experience of partaking in a meal at this Chipotle establishment evoked feelings akin to escaping the seventh circle of hell. Each bite was imbued with a sense of torment and despair, as if the food itself had absorbed the anguish of those who had labored to create it. The flavors were as bland as the depths of the abyss, devoid of any discernible distinction or delight. Even the mere act of consuming the meal became an arduous task, as if each morsel were infused with the sorrow of countless souls. To visit this Chipotle was to venture into a realm where culinary prowess had been forsaken, where mediocrity thrived unchecked, and where the very essence of gastronomic satisfaction had been irreparably marred. The absence of cheese, beans, rice, and vegetables, coupled with the rampant incompetence of the youthful staff, paints a picture of despair and disillusionment that should serve as a cautionary tale to all who dare to traverse the culinary landscape. In conclusion, my encounter with this Chipotle establishment proved to be an exercise in futility and existential despair. To any intrepid souls contemplating a visit, I implore you to reconsider. For in this realm of culinary calamity, you shall find no solace, no redemption, and no nourishment for the weary spirit.

Like many other people who have left reviews, I ordered online just to find a note on the door saying they closed at 2pm on a Saturday due to lack of staff. It looks like they can barely even keep the place open, let alone serve decent food. At this point i think customers, management and chipotle corporate would all be better off if this location closed. This location alone is hurting brand integrity for this area. Close down and open and better one somewhere else on the North Shore

Ordered by phone at 11:45 for a 12:20 pickup. It’s now 1:05 and no food in sight. Staff is making food for walk-ins, which makes me wonder why I bothered ordering ahead of time. Turns out they had some sort of issue with the mobile orders, but I could reorder in line. At that point I asked for a refund, and was given a number to call. We wound up going to La Victoria on Wallis Street instead, which I would highly recommend.

This Chipotle was great a few years ago. Now it seems like a manager quit and there's nobody in charge. They're constantly out of normal items like chicken or cheese etc. The employees lack any sense of urgency or customer service, they seem like they are just going through the motions. I work within walking distance but still drive to the one at the North Shore Mall instead.

This location sucks. It’s unreliable. The store is either open until 3-4pm because there is not enough staff or they run out of items. Today, they ran out of most of the meats that Chipotle offers which is very ridiculous. They also are very slow when they are making your order. A bunch of people working in the back and only one person helping make the orders. Some of them are standing around not even doing anything. This location sucks and you are better off going somewhere else.!

I used to frequent this place then a few years ago it got really bad. Figured, it's been about 18 months let's see if they've figured their stuff out...... Nope exact same issues as before. Missing ingredients no guac or salsa...at all!?, 40 minutes late. Ha ha the bag of chips has like 9 chips in it. Order something for 1pm. Don't expect to see it until 1:45pm. Constantly missing ingredients, don't order drinks if you're getting delivery they won't include it. The location at the mall or swampscott is much better. Look it's chipotle... The bar is already kinda low. But this place is the worst one I've ever been to by far and it's been this way for nearly 2 years. I'll try it again in 2 more years. Hopefully someone else has bought this franchise by then.

I feel bad for the employees here. Management/ownership is clearly letting them down. They seem tired and barely holding it together. Opened 90 minutes late. Out of many ingredients. Not a cook in sight. Only 2 servers for everyone in the lunch rush. Such a bad look for Chipotle, bad for their brand, their corporate office needs to step in.

Update: Got the job there. They are a little under staffed and the other employees are great with the customers. We do get busy and sometimes run out of different products, but that can be expected. The restaurant is clean except when customers make a mess. When I was growing up, if you made a mess, you cleaned it up. First time eating here, and the food is great. Applied for the dishwasher position.

I ordered online for pickup and got there and they were closed. I was mad because I had redeemed loyalty points, so it became more than just getting a refund. It was a huge pain. Every place you can order from online, even independently owned pizza/sub shops, their online systems won't let you order if they aren't open. I don't know why a chain as big as this doesn't have a way to stop people from ordering online if the location had to close early or never open at all. They really need to upgrade their ordering system so this stops happening to so many people.

Place is slowly getting better. Lunch seems to be the better time to come, dinner time is a mess and mobile pick ups have long wait times. If you go to any other restaurant in the plaza youll be in and out, except this place.

Worst chipotle ever. Out of CHEESE!!! What Mexican place runs out of cheese. Was also out of chicken and steak. One singular worker on a busy Saturday evening. Soda machines empty, ice is empty. Had to beg for a fork. Save yourself some pain and drive to Peabody.

This is by far the worst chipotle in the entire northeast. It takes over 45 min for a line no longer than 6 people. There is always an ingredient that they are out of. The workers are lazy, slow, unmotivated, and do not care about there customers. They serve little portions of meat and I always end up over paying for an awful meal. Do not go to this chipotle, it is a disappointment and pathetic every time.

I know five stars is a big number but this location does a great job. The peabody and Saugus locations look a mess. The staff their do a poor job with ensuring there is no cross contamination of dairy in the lettuce and guacamole. The beverly location keeps the counter clean and orderly. I visited this location on 10.3.2023 at 8:30 pm. The place was not busy and the two gents behind the counter were both cleaning around during the lull. Food containers looked neat and clean, there was no mixing of foods in the containers and the two folks working were very polite. I personally go out of my way to go to this location despite the aforementioned locations being significantly closer because they keep a clean and organized location. And to be honest the employees at the other locations are not so polite and accommodating when it comes to allergy awareness.

Explicit music played the whole time I was there, I had to wait 30 minutes for my mobile order after the suggested time, and the workers didn’t care. bad experience and just okay food. Won’t come back here again… better off going to burrito spice.

The only issue at this store is a higher, pretty much a lot of high school type kids or young young young adults, and and dangerous. Always looked like a bunch of chickens with their head cut off, or there's no help. Show me the other app. It's never usually ready when it's supposed to be. Usually, you have to attack on an additional 10th to 15 minutes. Especially if it's the weekend but I still go because I Like chipotle!

By far the worst food experience I have had in a very long time! Will never return to a Chipotle again. My son was hungry after his hockey game and loves quesadillas so he wanted to go here. When we walked in, another customer was walking out due to his frustration and warned us about the terribly long wait in line. From the time we entered until the time we were waited was almost 1 hour, again an HOUR. Only 2 staff members were on duty, there was ZERO managerial support or supervision. Both team members were young, inexperienced and very overwhelmed as well as complaining that they no support. All the meats / proteins were dried out, so I had to try and choose the best of the worst for my burrito bowl, I opted out of guacamole since it was crusted over and turning brown. We ordered (2) chips and salsa, a quesadilla and a burrito bowl. My son's quesadilla was the smallest portion possible with almost no chicken, the rice in my bowl was under cooked and hard, the meat was fried up and the chips were stale. The owner of this franchise should be ashamed, the manager should be fired. I, we will never go to one again.

Don't bother ordering from here. Everything in my order was wrong, cold and carelessly packaged. The restaurant was a mess and very dirty. No refunds are available. Told to call customer service for a refund but they just take your money and put a free entree on your account. I will never order from them again, every single time they get it wrong. They even take pick up orders and your money when the store is closed during normal business hours. Deserves "0" stars.

This places has one of the worst customers services and clean place. Employees are in the back listening to music and eating food. There was a long line and the buen the food. The make people wait in the line for more than 30 min.

We are from Ohio. Traveled all day and just wanted to get something quick. This is by far the worst Chipotle I've ever been to. First they asked my wife what kind of meat she wanted for her bowl. She said chicken. The young man replies I'm sorry we don't have chicken right now. Well what the h$!! Did you ask what kind of meat? There were already 4 people waiting for food. One guy said he had been waiting for 40 minutes. My steak was cold and under cooked. Rice was over cooked. No sour cream. Food everywhere on the floor, counter and around the register. Every table was covered with food. No ice in the ice machine. No straws. Soda was flat. Absolutely the worst experience at any restaurant not just Chipotle. Absolutely disgusting. Pretty much threw $28 out the window since we couldn't even eat the nasty food. There should be an option for ZERO stars

  • 1/5 Nick G. 1 year ago on Google
Honestly, disgusting. I have been to this chipotle on multiple occasions and every time it got worse. Today, steak was dry, rice was hard, and I’m soo happy I paid $4 the RATION of guac I got. Also paid for extra chicken and got NONE. The place is rancid and they rip you off. This location is a disgrace to chipotle.

  • 1/5 Alexa B. 1 year ago on Google
If I could I would give them 0 stars. I have come to this location on three different occasions for dinner at 6pm and they have been closed due to “not enough staff.” After learning my lesson, I went for lunch today at 1pm and they told me I needed to order online because they don’t have enough staff. I was in a rush so I couldn’t order online and wait in the extremely long line. I will never return to this location and will continue to go out of my way to the Swampscott location where I have never had an issue.
