Parked in car park for 22 minutes paid for my 1hr ticket £1. 10 days later I now have a demand for £60-£100 fine. Disgusting!!! Took photo of vehicle going into car park and one leaving! Not a picture showing ticket in window of our parked vehicle! If you use this car park keep your ticket for a long while and make sure you have your registration on it! Now I have to appeal against this fine when I know I paid as it is on my bank statement luckily paid by card!

A classic town park, with well-kept grassed areas and well maintained, pretty shrubs. A lovely outdoor cafe is here and wooden seats, ie benches with tables, serving a good variety of food and drinks - a lovely selection of cakes, scones and biscuits and sandwiches of all sorts, chips and crisps and salad. A bouncy castle for the kids too, weather and wind permitting... Maybe even the small steam train is running across the way for all the family to ride on - great fun. Try and find the outdoor gym nearby. A modernised play area for the kids nearby too - over the little bridge - which they will just love! Ideal... See the ducks swimming in the river and canal alongside and even swans and mallards... In another park area nearby, see the little pond area with little benches to sit and watch thr ducks and bbirds. Some pay parking is available here and toilets too. Tennis courts. Close to Waterfield Leisure with the swimming pool and gym and spa/sauna/wet room. Not far from the town centre - so handy too! A brass band often plays in thr area over the bridge alternate Sundays during the summer - so quaint and so traditional.

My hometown and we're so lucky to have the best park IMO. I've been to many places but nothing beats my park

Nice little mini railway in Wilton Park, you get a couple of laps for £1. Young 'un really enjoyed it (but then again he is 3 years old and loves trains...!)

There is a nice cafe with outside seating selling something for everyone, I can highly recommend the carrot cake. The lady who served us was lovely. Plenty of space for the kids and ideal for dog walkers. Unfortunately the toilets were closed so I can't say what they are like.

Great park for children of all ages and what I love most is it caters for all disabilities which is so lovely to see. It is well maintained and you can spend a good few hours there like we did. There was a seating area for a picnic, it is dog friendly too. Could not see toilets there maybe some but could not see them. Think the cafe there is a little over priced but we only bought 2 cups of tea and you have to pay 30p extra for decaf? So next time I go will be with a flask. Car park is not too bad I think it is £4.00 all day. So you can always have a mooch in town too.

We had a very enjoyable afternoon here. It was a very hot day, but we found a lovely spot to sit by the river under the shade of the trees. We had a nice snack from the cafe too.

Stopped at the pavilion cafe here which was excellent in food options and friendly welcome. Great spot on a sunny day, so we enjoyed the food, ice cream and coffee. No toilets open in the park though when we visited, not sure why.

Went expecting somewhere pleasant with a cafe and toilets. Both these were closed. Walked round - saw a couple if things I wanted to know more about but signs missing g - for example why are there lock gates I the middle? Disappointed therefore.

Lovely park with water, fine trees and play areas for all age kids. 5-a-side pitch and tennis courts and cafe and ice cream :-) What more could you want? For more wild park walks, use the country park in Wymondham way :-)

Wilton Park is just a normal park, there is a playground for kids, skateboarding, you can picnic and sunbathing. You can bring your kids around. Unfortunately the parking must be paid, but it is cheap. You can pay in an app called ring go or in a machine

A beautiful park however be careful with the parking. We visited with elderly parents for a cuppa after the markets ( the cafe was closed luckily we had a thermos in the car ) and ended up with a £60 parking fine, we didn't realise parking had expired 15 mins earlier. As beautiful as UK is everywhere we went had different parking machines with different fees and instructions some.needed apps downloaded some used pay n display some recorded with cameras entry and exit. It made our month visit exhausting and expensive. I wonder how many elderly stay home to avoid the cost and confusion?

Very nice, lovely place to enjoy for all ages. Playground, Pavilion cafe, bowls club, large open grass area, plenty of trees and also a skate park.

The park is very nice, it was a lovely day, get a nice coffee from the café. BUT be aware as I paid for my parking and got my ticket, put it in the window of the car.(thought no more about it) until 10 days later when I got a parking ticket apparently as my ticket came out of the machine before I could put my reg. in.

Lovely park, Melton is so lucky to have it. Shame the little train wasn't working. Pavilion is great to get food, ice cream and great coffee, latte, cappuccino, staff are lovely, and covid distancing is well thought out. Could do with more bins around park, but such a lovely place to go and relax, kids love it.
