Outside
of
my
own
kitchen,
this
was
some
of
the
best
fried
chicken
I've
eaten.
The
chicken
was
spiced
perfectly
with
just
the
right
amount
of
sneaky
heat
that
said,
"I'm
here
to
spice
things
up,
but
I'm
not
going
to
knock
you
out
and
take
over
your
taste
buds"!
The
sides
were
also
delicious.
The
macaroni
and
cheese
was
creamy
and
flavorful
and
the
baked
beans
were
southern
made.
The
fried
okra
and
potato
salad
could
have
used
a
little
seasoning,
but
they
great
as
well.
Overall
the
food
was
worth
the
wait.
I
expected
the
food
to
be
good
based
on
the
recommendations,
the
reviews,
and
all
the
to
go
orders
that
were
coming
in!
We
visited
on
a
Sunday
afternoon
around
2:30
and
waited
about
25
minutes
for
a
table.
Our
server
came
to
our
table
right
away.
The
staff
was
very
friendly.
The
chicken
was
hot
and
fresh.
There
were
several
options
to
choose
from:
2
pieces,
3
pieces,
a
whole
chicken,
whole
wings,
chicken
strips,
etc.
And
several
sides.
This
would
have
been
a
5-star
rating
except
that
the
desserts
were
a
little
too.
Three
of
us
in
my
party
ordered
slices
of
pie
(pecan,
sweet
potato,
and
chess)
and
all
of
us
had
the
same
comment,
sugary
sweet.
Even
so,
I
will
definitely
be
visiting
Gus's
Fried
Chicken
again
the
next
time
I
head
to
Memphis!
Great
food,
great
service,
worth
the
wait!
