This hotel is beautiful! The rooms were clean and updated. I love the motion sensor lights under the bed, so nice when you get up in the middle of the night. The staff was very nice. We didnโ€™t get to see the duck march due to time constraints, but hopefully we can go back again and see them. The parking is great and there are a few really good places to eat nearby. I was concerned about the area when I reserved the room, but it ended up being okay. No different than any other downtown hotel. I would stay here over the Guest House at Graceland, Peabody was a million times nicer in my opinion.

Pure chaos trying to park. Valet was backed up. I didn't feel safe parking my car in the only spaces left, at street level. It seems valet is used by non-hotel guests as well so they run out of space. We had to carry our luggage about 4 blocks to get to the hotel because there wasn't even space for us to pull up and unload. Front desk staff were nice. Our room, 432, is right across from the elevators and we could hear people in the elevators all night. When we walked in the room there was trash on the floor. The bed sheets were dirty with smudges and debris on them. I have never complained about a hotel bed before, I'm just not picky about beds but good grief the bed is awful. It feels so old and worn in like a 50 year old box spring mattress or something. I woke up sore all over. I'm 36 and in great shape, I've never woken up sore from a mattress before. The bathroom is comically small. An average sized American could not maneuver in here. I'm barely over a 100 pounds and 5 ft and kept bumping my knee on the toilet to get to the sink. Photo attached. The shower was backed up and not draining. Gross. This place is not worth the splurge. We were just passing through for the night on a long road trip and splurged on this hotel for a better parking situation and a good night's sleep. Didn't get either. I expect far better for the price point and reputation. I see the hotel consistently responds to reviews with the excuse they are "historic" so they can't have properly functioning bathrooms, or get rid of smells. There are historic hotels everywhere with excellent service and accommodations.

Stayed for two nights recently in this hotel on a trip from Ireland. The hotel is fabulous and our room was beautiful and so comfortable. We loved the ducks! However our stay was made by our dinner waiter, Chris, on both evenings. He was superb! So much fun, professional and went out of his way to make sure we had a wonderful time! Thank you

It's a nice vintage place. Rooms were spacious though had a weird wet smell. There was no fridge in the room and no coffee at all times in the lobby Food was less than okay. Front desk were very friendly and helpful. Elevators took really a long time to come (want helpful during a conference) Unfortunately I missed the chance to see the duck march I might go back to the hotel if I had to

The hotel is in downtown Memphis, blocks from Beale Street and nearby to so many restaurants. The lobby is extraordinary. Very opulent. Everyone wants to watch the duck parade. We enjoyed learning about the history of the hotel. The staff is polite and professional. Prices are high for rooms and for food in the restaurants but it's all very elegant. Our room was quite small and our bathroom was the size of a closet. The garage feels safe and is very clean but it's not free, so be prepared. I'm glad we experienced this; but, if we came again, I would cough up the extra bucks for a larger room.

An absolute classic hotel in the middle of the action. It is very nicely appointed with very comfortable beds. Service was outstanding. If you ask for anything they immediately accommodate you with a smile. The only negative is that the room is a bit small and doesn't have a fridge or microwave. Probably the wiring can't accommodate these, since it was built almost a hundred years ago. The lobby is a great place to hang out.

We were driving down the street about 4:45 p.m. and realized the ducks were about to return to their penthouse palace. My husband and I drove around while my boys ran in to catch a glimpse. Unfortunately they didn't see much because of the crowds. But we did decide to return after dinner and hang out in the huge lobby area and get drinks and dessert. What a treat! The desserts were beautiful and delicious. We decided to get a room and stay the night. Rooms are clean and large. The beds are super comfy. Being an old hotel, our bathroom was very small. We did have to leave the hotel around midnight to get our luggage from our car and that was honestly scary. As we were walking back from the parking deck, there were sketchy people, some who approached us, trying to get us to talk to them. We saw a cop car race down the road with sirens on. I recommend if you check in for the night, don't leave until the morning when it's probably safer.

Beautiful hotel in a great location with an incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The Duck March is at 11AM and 5PM. Arrive at least 30 minutes early to get a good view of the ducks arriving/leaving the fountain. Be sure to visit the Peabody Deli for tasty treats. The Lucky Duck gift shop has a lot of great Peabody gifts. The hotel is walking distance to Beale and Main streets. Many restaurants are walking distance to the hotel as well.

If you are staying in Memphis, why not stay in its great, historic hotel with very good service. Great location. Itโ€™s a sold four star hotel. The lobby is beautiful and the stores are of good quality. The rooms are decent but we were in a pet friendly room which no matter the hotel are never as nice. Self park is quite a distance but directly connected to the hotel. The duck parade is a fun, quirky, event to watch

Beautiful hotel. We enjoyed our stay. Itโ€™s a bit noisy at night with sirens and traffic being downtown but we expected that. Employees are very friendly. We got the bed & breakfast package so we did room service breakfast. The process was fast and simple. Food was delicious. The bars make the best manhattans & old fashioned.

One year ago we came to Memphis with our aunts and seriously thought Memphis would be a one and done city - and then we met The Peabody and our entire perspective changed. At that first introduction to this majestic hotel we determined at that moment we would be back and that time came this weekend. It was no less magical this visit. We planned our trip so that we could attend the Thirsty Thursday Rooftop party which was a solid play. The rooms are spacious and traditionally decorated with ducks everywhere โค๏ธ The lobby bar is bumping most hours of the day and genuinely a great place to hang out with loved ones, friends or simply a place to make new friends. The corner bar offers a happy hour between 4 and 7pm with $5 drinks which is accompanied by live music. The deli has magical sweet treats and the restaurants are must have world class chefs. Weโ€™ve yet to make it to the spa and a few other amenities so weโ€™ve vowed to return again - designating this hotel as a special place for us. It truly is spectacular and no trip is complete without seeing the world famous duck march. I urge anyone planning a get a way to consider Memphis. The food in this city is amazing and you have the most grand southern hotel available to book. Weโ€™re already planning another return trip. 100P recommend.

I was really excited to stay here for my birthday night but after entering the hotel room there were some issues. For the price the room was very small, there was mold all over the shower curtain, and โ€œnewโ€ sheets had stains in many places. We called and got new sheets and they were very nice and quick. There were a few little things that could have been better. Other than that I have no complaints about staff or the gorgeous lobby. However, with the money that was spent on the room there were many things that could be better or fixed.

Our stay at the Peabody was great and really contributed to the overall quality of our vacation. The hotel is perfectly located near anything you could want to do downtown and is within walking distance of Beale St, Rendezvous, the FedEx forum arena, and more. All of the staff were extremely friendly and it's obvious that service is at the forefront at the Peabody. Parking was easy, plenty of spots in the garage, easy to get in and out. Both the Lobby Bar and the Corner Bar were unique and enjoyable. The March of the Peabody Ducks was so good we watched 3 times. The spa at the hotel is fantastic. The hotel is on the National Historic Register and has done a great job of updating while preserving the historical feel and keeping the hotel's history on the forefront. If there was one improvement I could make, it would be to update the mattresses, sheets, pillows, and towels. Those items just didn't seem to be of the same high quality as everything else in the hotel and would help it keep an up to date feel. If ever back in Memphis, I would absolutely stay at the Peabody again and would recommend it to friends and family.

I'm not a fan of the location, it's a great hotel with lots of history. It's well worth going here to see the ducks. Staff are so friendly and loved having a chat with one young beautiful girl working there. Great shops in this hotel

Didn't stay at the property, but made a point to visit the most grand hotel in the South. Lobby interior is ornate, open and beautiful. Everything is polished, shined and spotless. The decor is reminiscent of the fine grand hotels of Yesteryear. Of course, the world famous Peabody Ducks made their entrance with much ceremony. Don't miss it - 11:00 sharp!

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and a must see! For the price though, you are absolutely paying for the experience and not room quality. Although our room was one of the updated ones, the room still had a dirty feel. The couch had stains on it and there was a wet/humid feel the entire stay. Since the air could not be lowered, the room was uncomfortably warm and the nightlight sensors next to the bed were broken. On the plus side, the bed was incredibly comfortable. The hotel also has great shops and restaurants and is in a convenient location downtown.

Not only a fancy hotel, but a place full of history. The architecture is outstanding, the stores are exclusive, the lobby has a great atmosphere to have some drinks and have a nice chat with anybody. The duck parade is a fun event to see. Everyone smiles and are in good mood in this marvelous hotel where Elvis signed his contract with RCA Records.

To be quite honest, we were expecting more from a 4-star hotel. The lobby and downstairs areas were beautiful and their staff was very accommodating with great customer service, but the rooms were a little disappointing. I've stayed in much less expensive hotels that had much better rooms. Beds were small (we got two full-sized beds versus two queens you'd get with other hotels), lamp shades and walls had what looked like brown water stains, the ironing board didn't even come with a fitted cover...overall it was just not at all what we expected. But the main reason we stayed is so my daughter could enjoy the duck walk which was great, but really crowded so you need to get in early. It would be nice if paying guests of the hotel had designated seating that would guarantee them the best view over the people that just come in off the street and don't spend their money there - just my suggestion.

I am new in the area and had some friends come over from Ohio for Thanksgiving. We all went to this hotel for the duck show. A student in my undergraduate class from Memphis told me this is a must visit. We walked in and clearly the ducks were out. We bough drinks at the bar and walked in to the area where the ducks were. To my surprise a hotel employee showed up saying I was did not follow instructions. To be frank, there were no instructions posted anywhere. How can a tourist tell where to navigate? I was asked to leave and I politely obliged. I walked out and left the drink I just bought untouched on the bar counter. I thought things were over, but they were not. The same employee yelled from 50 feet away to the security :"Throw him out". That was the most humiliating thing ever. I am a professor at a university and respected in my field, and here is someone yelling at me to be thrown out. I will take things to court and sue them. I have multiple witnesses. Extremely bad experience. Regardless where a person may have walked in accidentally, it gives them no right to yell at them. Everybody should be treated with dignity and respect.

We were here to see the Duck Parade and it did not disappoint. What a wonderful piece of Memphis Tn. History. The show was great. The duck Master did s great job and of course the ducks didn't disappoint. The hotel itself has a wonderful history and is worth a walk about to read the different pictures. The gift shop is outstanding with great items something for everyone. If you're even near Memphis please make this part of your tripโ€ผ๏ธ

I stayed at the Peabody for 3 nights and I enjoyed it. The gym and pool facilities are phenomenal and the rooms are comfortable. However, note that the rooms don't include a fridge (or microwave) if that matters to you. I found the beds to be comfortable and bathroom was well kept. The only downside was our room was never tended to while away during our entire stay which would have been nice. The duck walk was of course great and I appreciate the proactive involvement of kids in the experience as I'm sure they enjoyed it. Only disappintment to the duck walk is that the duck master usually drags on a 20 minute speech just for 10 seconds of duck walking!

Went there for a drink in the lobby bar after dinner. We were served right away but then waitress forgot one of our drinks (we were 5 people) While trying to get her attention a manager came to check on us and brought the drink. Ambiance is very nice. architecture is beautiful. It's clean and comfortable. Lots of people. And the story of the ducks adds to the fun.

Came here for work. Only was in room for a few hours to sleep. Then to work. But bed were comfortable and fluffy pillows. The ducks are a site yo see even for kids. Plan to return with my kids to show them but have a video for now. Was pretty crowded when we got there at 11 to see them come down the elevator and on there red carpet was pretty funny!!best tradition in a hotel I've seen. The story behind it even better!!

My wife and I were in town for a weeding. The Peabody is certainly a nicer hotel (and wants you to know it!) the service is fantastic, as bellmen and concierge can guide your entire experience. Rooms are dated due to the hotel being an older building, but overall not bad. There are bars and restaurants scattered about for the adults, and the duck marches are fantastic for the kids. You'll need to bring your wallet, but The Peabody was a cool one-time experience. Would recommend for anyone headed to enjoy Memphis!

We had 3 rooms reserved several months in advance in conjunction with a cruise we had booked. A request was made to be near the elevators as 3 of the 4 people traveling had walking issues, especially my 92 year old mother. We arrived at check in time to be told the rooms weren't ready. The clerk was again reminded of the necessity to be near the elevators. He assured us that the rooms he picked for us were close. The lobby was packed due to the ducks, so it was impossible to find seats. An hour or so later I got a text stating they were ready so I went back to the desk to pick up keys. He was no longer there and the person there could only find one room. After a lot of discussion she found the other room (one person in our party didn't make it there for her room). Again I repeated the necessity to be near the elevators. Much back and forth before she assigned our rooms and assured me that they were near the elevators. We got up to our floor and the room assigned to my mother and I was the LAST room the furthest from the elevators that it could get. We had had a long day of travel so just dealt with it. No coffee in the room, old, tired and somewhat dirty. For the money they charged I expected better. I would NOT recommend this place unless you have money to burn and don't care what the service is like.

We live in Memphis and love going to the Peabody for an easy vacation close to home. We stayed overnight the day after Thanksgiving for the Duck March, Tree lighting, and pictures with Santa. Having dessert before dinner with the ducks is one of our favorite things to do at the Hotel. We have seen the Peabody Duck March countless times and it never seems to get old. Thank you for the wonderful service and priceless memories. See you soon!

While returning home on a road trip to Key West from Colorado in March 2022, we arrived just in time for the world-famous afternoon duck-walk. We didnโ€™t stay in the hotel, we just enjoyed the lobby bar and duck-walk. Great fun in the historic lobby. The lobby bar has a nice vibe and we enjoyed talking to the old gentleman playing classic piano tunes.

We didn't stay here, but stopped by to see the march of the ducks. They make a big show out of it, but when they come out, you have to be fast to get a photo because they run to the fountain and jump right in. The hotel itself looks grand and there are several upscale shops. We wandered around a little and enjoyed the ambience.

My wife and I didn't stay at the hotel but did come for the brunch. After we ate we stayed to watch the duck march. The lobby is the most opulent thing I have ever seen. Beautiful. The bar is amazing. Waitresses were very nice. The go to drink there is the rubber duckie.

We sat in the lobby and enjoyed a few cocktails. We saw the ducks get gathered up and on their way to the roof. That was neat. But the atmosphere was unreal. Super peaceful and relaxing. Everything about the lobby is amazing. I may plan another trip to Memphis just to hang out in the lobby.

We made our plans to stay at the Peabody a year before when we stayed overnight in Memphis at another hotel. We wandered into the Peabody while exploring and I was taken away by the beauty of the entire building! I did not know anything about it and once we did some research we had to make plans to stay! Our room was ready an hour before check in time which was great and gave us time to get some shopping done before watching the ducks. Such neat stores to wander through and pick up a few souvenirs. The duck ceremony is a must see, you'll want to be in the lobby early because it does fill up quickly. We enjoyed the history explained by the Duck Master very much. After watching the ducks we went to a restaurant close by, and then spent a few hours in the lobby watching the piano player and sipping on drinks. I recommend the house martini. The room was clean and spacious, and the bed comfortable. The TV had a channel that gave more history of the hotel, and a little table in the room had a pretty set up of glasses and water with an ice pail.

The Peabody is by far my most favorite hotel of all time! Iโ€™ve been to hotels throughout the country and abroad and I just love this place. It is opulent, has great history, the staff is wonderful and accommodating, itโ€™s true southern charm and hospitality please do yourself a favor and visit! The ducks are wonderful too! Itโ€™s almost like an all inclusive resort. Donโ€™t forget about the awesome pool in the basement. We will be back!

VERY clean rooms, historic hotel that make you feel like you are in a time machine 5 star hotel. The the banquet food was a little unimpressive (taste, texture, cold) the small bed was too firm but the sheets were very clean. A+++ Cleaning team, front desk, every staff, the door guys, the service wonderful! They all make you feel so important. The Utah jazz weโ€™re staying there.

Booked my mom a room here for her 50th birthday. Enjoyed seeing the ducks march at 5pm (arrive at least 30 minutes early for a good view) and again at 11am the following morning. This hotel is so beautiful and I'd like to visit the Feathers Spa next time I'm in town. Parking was interesting, but upon check out I was informed that we could've parked at the entrance of the hotel to unload our bags, THEN self park. We had walked from the parking garage all the way to the entrance with all of our stuff! I still enjoyed my stay and would definitely do it again!

Still new to Memphis, exploring the downtown area. Walked past it a few weeks ago, and decided to explore it after dinner this evening. I do want to return for the duck parade, as it was too late to see that. The fountain and lobby is gorgeous. The gift shop was nice and got a few items there (attendant could've been nicer tho). Just walked around looking at the architecture, ballrooms, etc. Considered booking a room after walking around, until I read the recent room reviews ๐Ÿ˜ณ It is a old historic building, and in walking around and comparing that to reviews, I can see why quality vs price may not be accurate. I did not view a room, only the above mentioned areas.
