Staff was friendly and food was awesome and very authentic. Plus the prices, very good. Can't beat this place. Muy bueno and we be back.

I would probably give it more like 3.5 if it were an option. I recently moved into the area and have been wanting good Mexican ever since. I would say this qualifies as good, but not great. Al pastor is always my go to when I'm trying a new place. I found it to be full of flavor, well trimmed, but too saucy. This is not traditional sliced from the spit type Al pastor. The salsa served with the chips is very watery, without a lot of flavor, and very mild. It's perfect for young kids. All in all, I'll consider it again if I don't find a better option.

A guy my husband works with said we should try El Rey Del Taco and boy we are glad we did. Being it is during a pandemic cleanliness and masks mean a lot to us. They were all wearing masks and the place was spotless. We got our meals to go and they were packaged very nicely and everything was hot and fresh when we started eating it. The food was delicious and the menu is varied with many protein options to choose from. We got a bunch of different things and everyone tried a bit of each thing. The salsa was very good and the hot sauces both green and red were very good. It was nice when you order tacos you choice corn or flour shells and if you want them made in the Mexican or American style. The chimi was one of the best we have ever had. The place is handicap accessible with a ramp from the parking lot to the door. I was very impressed with the friendly and efficient staff.

1st time here & will definitely be back. I been looking for this place since spring..they have to put a sign up front. I thought it was the railroad building the time I was looking for it back in May. Food very delicious & customer service perfect. And the tres leches yummy 😋 Thank u

The food here is amazing! Real, good tasting Mexican food and definitely worth a try. I got the Torta Al Pastor and it was one of the best tortas I’ve tried! And the price is not bad at all. Definitely coming back again!

Mendota is basically an agricultural town. So it's nice when I'm out there that they have some good Mexican cuisine. Friendly, fast and tasty

The people are amazing and they get you your food super fast

Ordered quesadillas, didn’t have enough rice or tomato for one of them let alone all 4. Also never had a Mexican dinner with beans and rice and didn’t come with chips as well. The food would be a 8.2/10 with chips, but choosing to eat warm food with my family and not enjoy my food, or not being able to eat with my family to correct the problem…

El Rey Del Taco is a fabulous place. The service is very polite and helpful. There were quite a few people eating at the restaurant and the waitress was able to handle everyone there. Food was excellent and plentiful. Very clean restaurant. Plenty of parking. We will definitely be going back

Their lot might look full, but there’s always a table for you! Outstanding service, and great Mexican food! Will definitely go again

Went in for a couple of tacos to go, probably the best tacos I’ve had in a long time.

Great food and cheap big portions only draw back is no margaritas
