I’ve been here many times and have been worth five-star ratings every time. I pretty much love everything here because I try almost everything. The staff is friendly and great service and food is absolutely great. We always exciting when we go back to this restaurant for dinner. My kids love this place. Kids and family friendly.

Came here on a Saturday for lunch. Plenty of tables available so we sat inside. The decor was simple, clean and homey and nondescript. I will say flat out that the food was some of the best Mediterranean food I’ve ever had. The first item was complimentary bread and olive oil. The bread was nice and fresh, soft and warm. A really nice starter. For appetizers, we had the dolmas and the baba ganoush. The dolmas in particular were SO good. The baba ganoush had a nice slightly smoky taste which, when paired with the warm pita bread, was like comfort food. For main dishes we had the ribeye wrap+side salad and the salmon wrap+fries. The ribeye in particular was amazing. Cooked perfectly and lots of flavor. The salmon wrap I felt was not as good but still excellent, cooked perfectly and tasted fresh. The prices were moderate, bordering on the pricey side but so worth it. Everything tasted insanely good and fresh. As we walked out the door after eating I was already thinking about when I’d come back for dinner to try more great food.

My family has been coming here ever since it opened when I was in high school, and it is by far my favorite place to come to whenever I am home. The food is amazing, the people are great. The servers are long-time employees and have been so kind all these years. As for the menu, I am yet to find something that has disappointed! I would recommend the seafood kebab for a main, and don’t be afraid to over-order the appetizers (they are all delicious).

Everything about my lunch here was amazing; the ambiance, service, and extensive menu options. The complimentary bread with dipping oil was so good! The falafel wrap and gyro platter exceeded my expectations! Will definitely be a regular here, can’t wait to try more of the menu.

This was my first time here and I enjoyed every bit of it. The staff were nice and welcoming, and the food was delicious. I ordered the combo plate so I could try the different kebabs. I must say I enjoyed their bread service way too much and asked to take my leftover bread to go. They obliged and even added more for more. I'll be going back to try more items on their menu.

Nice and quiet outside dining experience. Galata kebab was an excellent choice. Manti was great. Manti is in many ways similar to Chinese style sui-gyoza, but on yogurt.

Food was good, however the waitress opened another bottle of seltzer when we didn't ask for it and charged us an extra 7.5 in the process. This was despite the first bottle being half full. Wouldn't go again just because of that.

This spot offers superb service and delicious food. The best spot ever. The drinks and food served fast and the rates are affordable. Recommended.

We did Door Dash and the food was pretty average. It is very reasonably priced and served in good portions.

Oh my goodness! If you are in the San Jose area, run down to downtown Menlo Park and eat at Galata. Mmm. The octopus is AMAZING! I found my new favorite spot to eat when traveling here. I am gluten free and felt completely safe eating here. The server was very kind and helpful with options and recommendations.

The service is regularly speedy, fantastic ambience, very friendly employees. I will visit again when I am in the area.

My turkish friend says this place is relatively authentic and it is one of the better Turkish restaurants he has been to. We enjoyed the food and the company!

Upscale Mediterranean restaurant located in downtown Menlo Park. Offers a good variety of Mediterranean dishes. Of the two items we ordered here, the dishes are pretty good. They offer free bread and oil dip which is a huge plus. Customer service is okay and the drink menu could be improved a bit. [The Food and Drink] We thought the food here was great for the price. The falafel was crisp and tasted authentic. The soup was excellent as well. We were really happy that they also offer bread at the beginning of the meal which is really nice and under appreciated nowadays! The drinks could be a little more varied if possible. For instance, their IPA beer was literally just listed as "IPA" without any distinction as to locale or brand. Otherwise, great food and drink! [The Location] Great location here located right on Santa Cruz avenue in Menlo Park. They have a good amount of outdoor seating and the restaurant doesn't appear to get very crowded which is nice! The street is quiet and the area is very safe by California standards!

We shared a lamb/beef kebab platter— the place seems popular and the staff were nice, but the dish itself was subpar. The meat was dry, the pita seemed processed, and the side salad was limp. Would be willing to give the place/other dishes another try!

Meat lover's haven! The ribeye steak was cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful. The garlic mashed potatoes were a great complement. Attentive staff and a cozy setting created a wonderful dining experience. Ideal for steak enthusiasts.

Had a nice meal on a quiet Sunday night. Service was great and the food tasty. It's hard to find good Mediterranean food, this is a secret spot...maybe not so secret any more.

Food was delicious! After a trip to Turkey a few years ago, I've been craving the authintic seasonings and grilled flavors. Very happily satisfied. Comfortable decor and friendly service. They were accommodating for our 1 year old as well. He loved the kabobs!

Accommodating for large groups. Came with 18 coworkers and had a nice team lunch. Food came quick and service was great. The grilled octopus was fantastic. The rice and the gyro in the gyro platter was flavorful. Didn't like the salad as much though.

Delicious salads and kebabs

The Galata Bistro has a really nice selection of both meat and vegetarian items on their menu. They have seating both inside and outside. It is a very cozy restaurant. The service is really good. They have a good selection of Kabobs on their menu. They have a lot of vegetarian appetizers to select from. There is a vegetarian section on the menu. On busy days the street parking can be difficult so plan ahead. Eating on the patio can be an enjoyable experience

Food was ok but nothing special. Service was brusque. Lots of more interesting options nearby. Wouldn't go back.
