Steve did an amazing job. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Made sure I knew exactly what was going on the whole time. Great price and great service. I will be going here for all my car needs for the rest of my time in this area, and I highly recommend for anyone else (all stout students as well).

Steve was able to get my car in quickly and repair my jeep while also taking the time to explain the repairs to me. He’s honest and up front about what needs to be done and treats his customers with respect. Best mechanic I’ve brought my car too by far!

I found Connell's to be an amazing automotive center! The man there was very very kind. He looked throughly throughout the whole car and told me what parts to look out for and what I might wanna replace. He also offered to replace those parts if needed. Amazing advice and a man who understands his customer's needs!

My kiddo is a student at Stout and developed braking problems that couldn't wait until her next trip home. I did an internet search for reputable repair shops and Steve Connell seemed to have good reviews. I'm glad we took the car to him. He is an excellent (over) communicator. He will explain things until your ear falls off. I appreciated his attention to detail. One of the parts he ordered wasn't up to his standards so he sent it back. Because of that, it took an extra day to get the job done, but I came away with a feeling that my kid's car was well cared for. In terms of prices, I don't know the Menomonie market. He replaced both rear brake calipers, had to disassemble and clean one side, new pads, brake fluid and bleed the lines, and reassemble. Just over $1K. He also looked at the front brakes but determined nothing needed to be done. His phone communication was excellent with me. Kept me up to date daily. I feel very good that my kid's car was in good hands.

To any parents looking for a local mechanic, this is the place. This mechanic will fix your car and also explain what was wrong with it so your kids can better know the signs for themselves so they don't get scammed by some less scrupulous mechanic in the future. I always appreciate a mechanic I can learn from. I also appreciate mechanics who can tell if your car is not actually in need of the repairs you thought and will only charge you for however long it took to figure that out. This is a very ethical business ran by someone who loves what they do.

Steve is the best. He was super honest and helpful over the phone before I even scheduled an appointment, I thought he was going to fix my car before I even got there, which he damn near did. He found the issues with ease and in decent time. I stayed with him and helped for the whole duration because I usually work on my own vehicle. It was nice not to be forced into a waiting room. He is probably my favorite mechanic and I will be going to him from now on. He was so friendly I felt like quitting my job and working for him, but alas it is a one man operation. Keep in mind also, that I was hung over and not in the best of ways! Even with that on my shoulders I still had a great experience and he never bothered or annoyed me once. Steve is awesome, and I hope that if you see him you will keep your appointment and not flake out on him. He dedicates his time, so should you.

My son took his Honda Accord here for a repair. He was treated very fairly, and treated with respect, which doesn't always happen for college students. The repair was done on-time and for a fair price. Great place, highly recommend for others in the area!

Steve is the best mechanic I have had the pleasure of knowing. I have had work done on two different vehicles for various problems and consistently receive excellent service. Not only does he explain what the problem is, but he breaks down how he is going to fix it and the cost by item and labor. He is very fair with his pricing and provides updates as he works on the vehicle. He is respectful of the cars he works on and the people he works with. There isn't a mechanic I trust more.

Incredible service!! My son has my car at Stout and the heater/blower went out. I was calling around getting quotes for this expensive repair. Quotes were all around $500 for parts and labor. Steve said he'd only give a quote after he looked at it. He found away to fix it without having to buy new parts. Saved me about $450. He's awesome!! He's my new go-to guy for auto repair.

Steve has done excellent work on my car while I've been a student here. He can be tough to communicate with and may not seem receptive to the job initially, but once he's working on it you can trust it'll get done right. He's replaced a wheel bearing and starter motor on my Mitsubishi. He is a fair mechanic and does the job with great care. My car was only in the shop for a few days. I highly recommend Connell's, he knows his stuff and will treat you right.

As a female with almost 0 knowledge in vehicles, Steve was really helpful in explaining what was going on with my truck and giving me options on how to take care of it. He fixed an issue other shops couldn't. I'd recommend him to anyone.

I'm new to the area and feel very blessed to have found Steve. When I have needed work done, he is very clear about the cost upfront and his rates are reasonable. His work has been thorough and he explains what he has done in a way that is easy to understand. I 100% recommend him!

I was the person that Traci called disabled. I like to be called challenged person. The repairs done were 2 separate jobs and service call done. Traci accessed my private and confident information within her company and she is not my payee!!!! I have been doing repairs at Connells Automotive for over 20 years and he never overcharges me. Traci shouldn't access my information at all since she is not my payee. Connells Automotive does not deserve her review because she has never had work done there.

Called and asked about when I could bring in my vehicle. The shop was booked up for a week but instead of leaving it there I got a genuine conversation about possible fixes. It didn't help in my case but they were very helpful in the end and went out of there way to think of solutions. 10/10 customer service

How come you would charge someone with disability $500 instead of just letting them know they were out of gas and oil? Taking advantage of someone who doesn't fully understand is really sad. Shame on this company I will be telling everyone I know not to do business with this place. Should be shut down honestly.
