I tried their Nam Vanh, and it was delicious 🤤 I love coconut, so this was definitely a treat. Their homemade syrup was tasty. Will come back again 💚

Want real Lao food?...then you must try this gem. It is Take-Out only, and I would affectionally call it a hole-in-the-wall great authentic place to buy Lao specialties. The owners are the cooks, so ice, and you can't beat their "som tam" papaya salad. My wife is Thai and I lived in Thailand so feel am a good judge of Isaan and in this case, real Lao food. Try it! We are from Las Vegas and if passing through again will certainly make this a "Must" go to stop.

this place is a hidden gem in Merced. best papaya salad I've ever had and all the food / drinks are amazing. it's in the back of mercado so don't be intimidated 15/10 some of the nicest people you'll ever meet.

I love the food! The flavors are phenomenal. Great customer service. My new favorite spot here in Merced now. The drinks and food are fantastic as well as the prices. They sell out fast so beware. Once you have the food you'll know why!

Every time we eat here it’s amazing! Today we got the spring bowl salad, chicken with rice, and tapioca drink. Great portions and prices with great taste! Also such welcoming and kind service! We will be eating here again 10/10

Stopped by for a bite after we saw the great reviews. It’s inside a mini market. The soup and papaya salads did not disappoint. Great coffee too. We will be back. Nicest people who own it also. Say hi in Lao… it will make their day!!

there's been a few times where I had to walk out because the wait time was too long it wasn't like there was a long line, there was no line just slow service. Papaya lady was moving extremely slow, she took a very long time making 2 drinks that took her more than 5 minutes, just when I thought she was done she had to go make papaya salad. All I wanted was a drink, she could've served me first so I can be on my way but she did not ask. I came super early to grab a ice coffee just to run late for work.. annnnd the coffee was sour. next time I will just stop by the thai restaurant. She can really use the extra help in the kitchen.

Delicious and affordable. I admittedly don’t eat papaya salad often and I don’t eat things that are extremely spicy, but their mild papaya salad is the best I’ve personally ever had. Their fried chicken and sticky rice is also worth getting. The skin is crispy without feeling greasy, and the sauce that comes with it is an absolute flavor bomb.

Good food but pricey for the size value....but tasty. Good for dates and other visitors to take out and enjoy Good food.... Clean place but does get packed during lunch and dinner times...fyi

Do anyone else remember the Papaya Lady when she and her husband drove a van and parked it at Teneya Middle School? This was back in the early 90's if not the 80's. People use to line up to get a taste of it. It was delicious.

Tucked away in the back of another store is this source of wonderful SE Asian food. Amazingly generous portions. Wonderful papaya salad. Super friendly.

We got the Papaya salad, Kapoon and the tapioca drinks. Everything was amazing. The shake was from Sonic.
