In the same space as Maiz Canela y Cilantro, run by a family from Oaxaca. The service is *excellent* and our server spoke English, a nice surprise. The food is all home-cooked from scratch. As authentic as you can get. It all tasted amazing, but the grasshoppers were my flavour favourite, no kidding! If the thought doesn't turn you off, I recommend it completely. The juices were delicious as well.

Delicious and authentic food from Oaxaca - we absolutely loved it! The owner was also very helpful and explained everything to us in English. We spent a lovely evening at this beautiful restaurant with a calm and aesthetic ambience. But not only the food was delicious (with amazing spices!), the Guave smoothie also blew my mind. We would definitely return to this lovely place!

Don’t let the quietness of this restaurant throw you off; it has a real local vibe & the food is incredible. Great, attentive service & they took us through everything in the menu in detail etc. They had a few vegetarian options too which made it hard to choose. Fresh & delicious food. Definitely recommend!!

Specialty salsas and yummy authentic dishes with Oaxacan flavours. Comfortable classy atmosphere with art and heritage collectables.

Fresh ingredients, authentic Oaxacan flavors in a home cooked meal. We appreciated the opportunity to have Oaxacan style cuisine after a week of dining on only Yucatán regional dishes. The moletes were delicious, the hot chocolate was prepared in the Mayan tradition, and my kids loved the agua de tamarindo.

Wow, so good and so delicious! Tlayudas were nice and crispy. I highly recommend getting the molotes - they were so flavourful and tasty!! Definitely was a home cooked meal. Service was friendly and attentive. Don't miss this place.

Best food I have ever try!! Last night I ate the best oxacan food ever. The restaurant was so clean, the owners were so welcoming, the salsa the best I ever try. I totally will recommend this place for everyone I know. I loved it!!

Really friendly and well run place. They also understood my needs as a coeliac (celiac) (gluten free) and communicated well with me in English. Although the menu is more geared towards meat-eaters they produced a tasty vegetarian option. Excellent drinks and such good value we ate there twice!

I'm not joking. This is a hidden diamond. Humble place, humble price, astonishing real Oaxaqueñan food. Now my friends, I won't lie. If you have some transport to get here, it's well worth your trip from downtown. I love it.

This place was down the street from our Airbnb, and we’ve always seen it super crowded. Finally, we found a slow night to stop in and try Oaxacan food for the first time. SO DELICIOUS! All three of us enjoyed every plate, every salsa, and our fresh aguas frescas! We’ll be back!
