Known also as "Casa Molina" after the last private owners. It's a small two-story palace with Academic Style. Since 2007 it's been the Folk Art Museum which includes around 600 items.

Stunning exhibits of “folk art” from different regions of Mexico. The work is beautiful and obviously created with love and care. So much personality in many of the pieces. Definitely worth a visit while in Merida. The house the museum is in has an interesting history which adds to the experience of browsing the exhibits. And it is free!

I lived in a near-by hotel and I wandered around today and came here. For free-admission place, you can not complain. This is not worth someone driving here just to see it. If you want to see how the local folks dress up and see some folk arts, you will see them here.

MARVELOUS museum - in a beautiful, old colonial building. Folk art on exhibit made by the' best of the best' in Mexico. Don't miss the pair of JAGUARS in the bathroom upstairs! There is a small park across from the museum as well as Puntomid - a lovely book/coffee shop.

(Translated by Google) Small but very concise tour throughout the diverse artistic manifestations of the country. I suggest that in the room where the handicrafts of Olinalá are, the urns that contain these have holes to be able to appreciate the characteristic aroma of the wood of linaloe. On the second floor should have the air conditioners in better condition. Highly recommended the visit to this site.

(Translated by Google) Near the square, in the Fernando García Ponce-Macay Museum, contemporary works of art from Yucatan are exhibited, while the City Museum offers a chronicle of regional history. Beyond the historic center, the Paseo de Montejo de Mérida is a modern and leafy boulevard that is full of restaurants, clubs and hotels located in 19th-century mansions. In one of these mansions is the Canton palace, pastel-colored and Beaux Arts style, which houses the Regional Museum of Anthropology. On the outskirts of the city, the Grand Museum of the Mayan World recalls the Mayan history of the region.
