We were on the 4th floor or balcony floor, with a beautiful views of the centro and it's churchs. Lots of activities going on around Christmas time but I'm sure it's like that all the time, never completely quiet, but the room cuts out almost all the loud sounds. Remember you are here in the heart of centro so lots of activities and activity too, they have a very popular breakfast restaurant, so get there early to avoid the crowds, So many other options in walking distance too, we even found a very cheap meal in the market if needed, the smell of the food brought us there and the native crowd kept us there. the food was a $100 pesos there, for 2! It almost felt like a crime since I had spent $15 dollars on beer on the Square, I would gave better than 4 stars but it's a small hotel and the TV barely had any sound, but no TV was fine since it never was turned on after our first night! I set all kinds of walking records on my apple watch!! They keep this hotel very clean is something my girlfriend said to mention!

Loved this friendly, centrally-located hotel with a fantastic rooftop terrace, cute little ground-floor pool & quiet rooms.

I hope other travelers do not have to go through this. I don't think this hotel room should ever be listed. We booked this hotel on Air BnB due to its central location and cheap price. We had a terrible experience. Room 312 felt much smaller than the listing. There are no windows in the room. The only window opens to the hallway, hence lack of privacy and security. What is worse is that the bathroom has no open windows except for a small fan on the wall. We smelt the sewer during our stay. It did not help when there were no windows one can open to get some fresh air. Other guests also reported the same problem with smelly plumbing and the lack of fresh air. I would never have booked a place like that had I known the room condition. I would not stay there if someone pays me. The smell is haunting. The receptionist tried to be helpful, but her hands were tight when she did not have any other rooms available. The hotel is clean, but our room is so small (about 100 sqf) and smelly. Maybe we were unlucky that we got a room so inhabitable.

The rooftop view is spectacular. The rooms are small and dated. Entering or leaving the bathroom watch your head and shoulder. If you're taller than 5 feet you will hit the wall mounted television. The bathroom and shower tiles are very slick when wet. The window curtain is stained. The bed was firm, but not hard. I prefer soft. The room was very clean. Housekeeping cleaned the room everyday. The room was quiet. The staff were courteous. The hotel is conveniently located to shops, services and restaurants. Had I paid their asking price, for the room, I would have been very disappointed. If you get a deal, from an online vendor, take it.

It is not a five-star hotel, but it is definitely very comfortable, quiet. The service and care are good. I like the place, it is central. Traducción en vivo

The location of the hotel is really nice, but when U arrive by car you have no real chance to unload your luggage in front of the hotel. The car park if the hotel is a few blocks away. The room was clean, but the Aircon smelled mouldy and I could not turn off or on the swing..the bathroom was so tiny that you felt like being in a submarine (toilet AND shower 1.4 m2 perhaps...). The pool was okay. I would not stay there again ...

We have stayed here 20 times in recent years. Always loved it But the property has really declined TV doesn't work, Internet comes and goes, hot water takes forever, elevator gone, construction noise all day. Good bye Colonial. Still have very nice staff and excellent location.

The location of this hotel couldn't be better. Awesome rates to be so centrally located. Room accommodations are fairly basic, but they have everything you need.

Great location. Staff is very friendly. Rooms are very small and basic. But if you think you are in the center of the city and in a very old building, acceptable. Some parts of the room looked like they were in the middle of a renovation. Walking distance to many restaurants, plazas, museum, grand plaza, cathedral etc. We asked for a room change next day because of the noise of the traffic. So, if you like to sleep in peace ask for 4th floor which is much better and you can enjoy the terrace with a cathedral and city view.

Very close to La Plaza Grande. Rooms well kept and observing ALL local COVID requirements. We felt safe at all times, Many vendors as you step outside the hotel, but keep going or simple say no and they'll leave you alone. Bring moskito repellent if you are prone to bites, it's a must everywhere you go, unfortunately.

Basic accomodation, close to downtown. There is a late night, very loud night club close by. We needed ear plugs!

This Hotel is perfect for low budget travelers. Rooms are fairly clean but too small. So is the bathroom. Plaza Grande in within 2 blocks from the hotel.
