We loved our stay here. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. The staff is amazing! They are so friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.

Nice clean hotel. Excellent price for the quality. Location is superb. Room is very clean and bed is comfortable. Our room was located on the busiest street side and the noise still didn’t bother us for sleeping. The swimming pool is very cold. Parking is 1 block away in the wrong direction on a one way street, so very long and difficult to get too. That is a negative. I would stay there again.

Location is pretty good and price affordable. But first they gave us a corner room with impossible traffic noise, and then a room in the back not far from the pool but, with an impossible generator noise and separate beds. Cleaning crew talk in front of the room even when you put a sign on the door to be able to sleep. We had a group visit making an awful lot of noise very early too. Pool is nice but that's not really what you will be looking for. Beware, the restaurant offers a decent breakfast but is not really part of the hotel. In the end, there's enough choice in town to go somewhere else! Only go on last resort.

We had the all you can eat breakfast buffet yesterday. The advertised price posted on their window facing the sidewalk and street promotes a breakfast buffet for 139 pesos. When the bill for our two meals came, we were charged 535 pesos. When questioned, we were told that the buffet was only on certain days. This was neither specified on their poster nor mentioned to us as we asked what was included in the buffet to our waitress. We were told everything on the menu was included. My wife specifically asked twice and was told everything on the menu. Needless to say we paid the tab and walk off. BASICALLY GOT RIPPED OFF AT THE GOVERNOR' HOTEL!

The hotel has a great location in centro Mérida, the rooms are great comfortable, spacious and clean. They give you 2 water bottles for free at your room, the bathroom is has hot water 💧 spacious too. I really love the concept inside open garden with benches. The pool was good too but the parking is a little far and we need to wait for them to opened more than half-hour with other customers not enough employees 😒.

Awful room blue bleach stains all over mould ridden tiles and grout. Dribble for a shower with filthy stained shower curtain. No fridge. Air con didn't work. Desk but no chair. No tea or coffee facilities. Reception dont answer the phone and just leave you on hold. Noisy courtyard. But on the plus sides the light worked!

Enjoyed our stay amazing service, but the beds were terribly uncomfortable and the street noise was quite loud.

It was very loud in the night. And they refused to take my food supplements for storage in a refrigerator. I would expect from a 4-star hotel to offer this service (if they don't have refrigerators in the rooms).

Nice Mexican colonial style hotel located in city center and close to everything. Rooms quite old but nice. Recommended.

The hotel is very close to the square and that is the only good thing. The rooms are quit claustrophobic, the bathroom is as tiny as my body (don’t exaggerate) after having a shower it was hell! Staff not very friendly and very slow. My door had to be opened by a staff member each time because it jammed. Did get another room tho. The breakfast was cheap and nog filling. You have to park the car somewhere else and you have to ask someone to open it after 6 p.m (not fun). Would not recommend this place!

Everything was fine, the hotel is located near downtown, about 3 blocks away from it. The rooms are clean but some part of it present different issues, for example one toilet didn't flush, the air-conditioning was leaking, fortunately in both cases they repaired it right away. The food was fine and on time.

Loved it, except for the 10 loud guest who decided to sit in the walkway of the second floor and talk loudly at 7am 2 days in a row, I had to actually call down and request someone ask them to go to the common area and chat, it was that loud. That would be my only complaint, the restaurant was lovely and the staff was amazing and accommodating to English speaking patrons. The food was good and the hotel is in the best location in Centro Merida. You are 5 minutes from the park, there are tons of coffee shops as well as 7/11 and Circle K 2 blocks away, there is the medical center to get Covid testing if you need to fly back to States 2 minutes away and plenty of sidewalk restaurants all around. You will never be bored in this area. Oh and the rooms are really clean and WIFI strong if you WFH like I do.

Nice three stars, excellent guests services, beautiful colonial building in downtown Merida.

We loved the colonial feel of this place. Our rooms were clean and the air-conditioners worked great. This is not a quiet place - we heard other loud talking loudly in the hallway until late into the night. The on-site restaurant is great - we had a wonderful breakfast. Parking is a bit awkward - the parking lot is a block or two away from the hotel. The hotel is nice and close to restaurants and a small grocery store. Traffic outside of the hotel was pretty heavy when we were there, but we did not hear the traffic once we were in the hotel.

We've noticed lots of improvements in this visit. A safe in each room. The towels and pillows are wonderful. The a/c works perfectly - which is something that you REALLY want in this climate! Service is great. People are friendly and very helpful.

Convenient location, being in the "Centro Histórico" of Mérida, Yucatan and good food, but that's where the positive things end. Bad service from FD and restaurant staff (condescending attitude), old and moldy rooms, tv/internet service goes away intermittently, hard beds. Only reaching 2 stars fue the fact the food in the restaurant is actually nice, such a shame it's brought by staff that seem to always have an annoyed face.
