Updated post pandemic. Still overpriced, and super crowded and terrible. They do have a couple of products that you cannot buy other places for their price, coffee, imported cheese and butter specifically. However I've closely compared prices for regular grocery products and most are the same price or more expensive. Juice and cereal are great examples of products that actually cost more at Costco.

Canadian and American visiting Mérida, remember that your membership card is valid in México. Selection is very similar to the US, and you can also find US meat import (including baby back ribs, etc). Don't forget to visit the cenote outside in the parking lot. Despite this review, I encourage you to visit and encourage your local Mexican shops and live like locals.

Almost like every Costco, but it has something special no other Costco has, a cenote. Some people that work there are very nice and helpful. Others not as much. Selection is almost the same as other Costco’s in Mexico, they have some specialty products that like artisanal cajeta or artisanal granola.

You can not go wrong shopping at Costco. The fresh produce prices are lower than Merida's local food markets. We bought berries, salad, and other veggies. The prices are cheaper than local super markets. Amazing!

Unbelievably crowded. Not worth the hassle to save a few bucks .

Better prices and selection than Sam’s but it’s almost always too crowded. It’s best to go before they open or an hour before closing. Their design flaw is the merchandise that is too close to the check out cashiers. Shoppers aren’t able to evenly line up at the registers forcing some shoppers to wait many times longer than others to check out.

Extremely busy for the season. it's understandable.but there is no organization from the employees to plan for faster paying customers. Isles are blocked by customers waiting to pay and customers cannot access those products

Quality of some products has dropped in the last two years. examples are -the quality cheese selection has been decimated, at one point -at one point there was only one brand toilet paper in the Mérida branch. I've been shopping at Costco for over 25 years and feel that the purchasing department was excellent, and product offering was the best. This is not the case with the Mérida branch.

Beware when ordering glasses! I ordered progressives. I could not see either close or far away. They would not refund the lenses. I was not told it was a final sale if issues. Beware. I will never order glasses from Costco again!

A great place to shop! Lots of high quality food! Even lots of organic products available! Huge selection! It does require purchasing a membership here, ($25), but I always manage to save money and get things I cannot get in other locations. The sell, everything from computers to fresh produce. I always enjoy shopping here, and the store is large enough that I get a fair amount of exercise walking around it's aisles. Highly recommend!

A trip to Costco consumes an unbelievable amount of time. The lines are simply unbearable. You need to get customers through the cashier faster. Prices are very high and perishables like fruits, vegetables and meats, especially fish, are always very close to their expiry dates (or already expired).

If you have a membership from the United States it will work here. If you don’t have the card you can have them print out a temporary membership paper as they don’t reprint US cards here. The food court requires a membership card. Good hot dogs and pizza just like back home. There’s a small discount when paying with cash. I used my US bank visa credit card and it worked just fine.

It is well stocked, they have good customer service. ***Visit Ka Lutzal Cenote *** Note: Bring a cooler for frozen food in your car, because of the extreme heat in Merida.

This Costco is convenient to the Progreso area. Drive 30 minutes, and we have the ability to enjoy many of the cost saving products available to us in Canada.

Busy, busy place. Good for finding some different items but can be pricey, must be a good shopper and know your prices.

Being from Canada, this was the first time I tried going to a Costco in Mexico. First off it was way too busy, especially for COVID times. Busier than any Costco I've been to in Canada. Also, I found there to be a lot less value than Canada. I think you pay a brand premium here as there is with other American stores in Mexico. I did not find there to be good value and most Veges and fruits are cheaper in local markets. Of course there are some good deals on certain items but overall I would not shop at a Mexican Costco again.

Minus 1 star because the line is always too long to wait for my $1 hotdog I reward myself with after the crowded shopping experience. I love Costco though! I hope they bring more US Costco products like hemp seeds and men's cargo shorts.

Being from the USA we know Costco. This one is like a teeny Costco. All the same basic looks and items but just shrink down in a smaller space. We were in and out so much faster than normal because of the size.

As good as any Costco in Canada or the US

Very nice Costco with food Court. No gas or other services that I know of, but they do sell tires. Not much in the supplement section, mostly just the basic vitamins. I couldn't find collagen powder, my magnesium drink ("Natural Calm"), or the kids melatonin that I get at Costco in the US. Other departments had everything I needed.

Its a costco. I was surprised in buying superior Prosecco by kirkland. Very good. And cheap

They don’t accept the Costco app as your card so if you didn’t bring it with you when traveling you will need to go to customer service. Parking attendants want tips so bring extra pesos to give them.

Super busy all the time, but still one of our favorite places to shop with such high turnover of products. I've never seen a Costco so well utilized, which is why it feels like we go there all the time. Get it while it's on the shelf for sure. Love their fresh desserts they don't have in the states like our absolute favorite, tres leches.

Great place for stocking up water for our Yucatán road trip.

As it is the only Costco in Merida, sometimes or at some hours is kind of crowded, they open several lines to pay but almost always you need to wait in the line. Something good is their photo area, where you can print your digital pictures in a lot of different sizes and materials. There are always different offers you can take advantage and the food court is also great, after do some shopping you can finish with a delicious pizza, hot dog, sundays and more.
