The coffee was great and the dish was really filling. Clean bathrooms and nostalgic decor

Solid Mexican food, properly sized and good in taste. I went here for lunch and since I usually don’t eat anything in the morning, this meal literally filled me up for the whole day. The portions are huge and good in taste. As for the coffee, don’t expect anything special, as it tastes like a simple filtered coffee. The staff was nice and helpful as well. Fruits have been fresh.

Awesome 24 hour spot in central Merida, I eat early for breakfast so finding this was a god send! The staff were super fun and friendly and the food was spicy just like I like! Will return.

This place was super tasty, local authentic food. I went here for brunch and I had a great experience. Big portion for a good price. I paid $165 pesos for so much food.

We were not shocked and appalled. Service was unfathomably good and food was tremendously optimal. The elevated bathroom experience was very refreshing and exciting. I also loved that your faucets didn’t work. Good job making an effort to save the environment! Any person in their right mind would recommend this place. For that matter, anyone not in their right mind would also recommend this place after tasting the food. Very very first class 👌🏾.

There's always a friendly service. The waiters take your order fast, and they offer a cup of coffee. Talking about coffee, the coffee beans are roasted right there in the restaurant, you can see the roaster machine and if you like the waiter gives you an explanation and tour. Its meals are as traditional as tasty. I only have hade some breakfasts like chilaquiles, huevos divorciados, machetes, molletes. All meals are well served.

This spot reminded me of Picadilly back in the State and just as delish.

The food was good, but I was disappointed in the service. It wasn’t busy when we went however I felt like we were more of inconvenience to them than anything else. I see that the reviews are all over the place, so I’m going to assume it’s hit and miss. I’m willing to give the place another try at some point in hopes that it was just an off day for them.

We went for supper. I had the hamburger (after a week of local I craved familiar) and my wife had chicken soup. The hamburger had a favor I couldn't identify. Guess they use slices of ham along with the beef, bacon, cheese, tomato, mayonnaise and lettuce. My wife's soup was very good. The lemonade was the only item we weren't satisfied with. It tasted as if it had been sitting awhile, stale. Overall it was okay.

I really enjoyed eating here at Cafe La Habana! It has all the comfort foods and coffee drinks you'd like to choose with both a Mexican and Cuban flair! The restaurant is a little dim inside but that's because there's so much natural light coming in through the windows. You can also purchase fresh ground coffee and watch the staff grind the coffee beans in front of you. It's conveniently located about two to three blocks up from Plaza Grande. The wait staff were very nice, too!

The atmosphere was kinda cool. Some solid Mexican uncles drinking coffee. We got the enchiladas de huevos and they were not very good. The milkshake was warm… so we asked for ice. But I would only go back here for a coffee or something like that. Don’t get the enchiladas

Had good flan. Molletes mixta was good while still hot (mixed toppings on half toasted bun). Was a nice environment to get out of a sudden rain shower. Good size servings. Says it is open 24 hours.

Wanted to love this place as it looked like many local people were dining here. Unfortunately my ham and cheese toasted bun was very greasy. The coffee was great. The dining room really needed a very deep cleaning. I think there are many better options for breakfast in Centro

We went here for breakfast. At the waiter’s recommendation we tried their specialty dish, bread with cream, and the cream tasted off. I also ordered their cereal, which turned out to be about 3 mouthfuls of Mexican cornflakes (according to the packet, it was over 40% sugar). On the plus side, the waiter was nice and they are open 24/7.

My son loves this place and I gotta admit the food is pretty good. If you want to go here for breakfast, get an early start! It is usually very crowded for this time of day

Although my friends and I just went in for a late night snack, the oreo smoothies were the right amount of sweet that we needed and the french fries were also well seasoned. It's a really nice spot to relax and apparently they are opened all 24hrs. The staff were kind enough to offer us a table when it was almost packed to the rim.

Excellent enchilada de pollo verde. I will be coming back for more before I leave Merida.

A very good option for a variety of foods at great prices. We ate their twice during our stay in Merida. The "machete" is like an extra large quesadilla with different meat options to add.

I had a nice breakfast experience at Café La Habana. I found the waiters to be nice and kind. The egg breakfast was a good day to start my day. The pan de elote was amazing.

Love this cafe/diner with its cozy atmosphere; great service and eclectic menu offering both local and regional dishes, as American and Continental. Coffee is great! Prices very affordable.

Coffee was great here. Americano especial, cappycino and the lechero all 3 were of great quality. Their coffee quality is above par. You can't make a bad choice here.

I'm not sure where I have had my best meal in Merida, but after tonight, I know where I have had my worst. The food was cold. Room temperature cold. We spoke to the manager who spoke to the waiter who took the plates away and brought them back within 2 minutes with the food luke warm. Disgusting.

We will remember this restaurant for the worst dinner we've had in a long time. The food took 45 minutes to arrive and was absolutely terrible. Avoid this restaurant at all costs !

Wanted to grab a coffee to go before hopping on my bus. I got boiling coffee to a cup without a sleeve. They do not have they told me. I could not hold it so went back that I need to sit down because it is so hot. Oh, they they finally found the sleeves! Terrible service. And the coffe equaled the service provided. Typical turistic place - inflate prices, tourists come and go.

A very good combination of food and culture in this restaurant. Food is amazing and tasty, the stuff are good but sometimes can take a long time for waiting. A clean place and clean toilets, prices are ok.

Good basic food, ambiance on the dark and gloomy side, but it seems to be popular with Mexican families as well as visitors.

If you are looking for a classic long standing place, savor authentic homestyle regional flavors and have a solid cup of fresh roasted coffee on site, look no further. Please be kind and generous to the staff as they are so professional and take lots of pride in their art. I recommend the molletes and chilaquiles! Beautiful textures and flavors. Also try the espresso. They were playing jazz music in the background too. Very much a nostalgic, Hemingway-esque vibe. I see some posts below upset they didn’t have solid wifi. Sorry, maybe Starbucks is a better place for you. This is a place to relax and put your phone/laptop away.

We have been here 2 x our waiter the 1st time was superb. For him alone we would give 5 stars. Yes we had a woman who really just did not like non locals. She played dumb again and again with your order, my spa is is not perfect but I can order coffee( una cafe)without her bringing 2 other people over to translated that. Then she brought my husband a child size portion of Pancakes that we had seen(and heard) the table next to us order the same thing we did and his was half the size. We paid extra for bacon and she gave us one slice . Then to top it all off she tried to pour my coffee refill into my husband's tea . In addition to all this she charged for items we didn't have. We paid it and didn't complain but we'll never go back and she'd I'd not get a tip per say but I did outright ask her if she was new to being a waitress. :) She said no...
