Good or bad I never leave reviews but living less than 10 minutes away for over a decade I’m so mad I’m just trying this place. Went today, we got the sampler (lots of food and dynamite potato skins!), steak tip entree and I got the teriyaki bowl with grilled chicken. This bowl is something I will legitimately dream about. Waitress was so sweet and very attentive! Will definitely be back.

I was with a party of seven (reservation). The restaurant was busy. The waitestaff must have been shorthanded because service was slow. Everyone's meal was delicious. But my wife's meal came out 10 minutes after everyone else's. So, despite the food being very good, service was why I rated my experience three stars. I was disappointed especially since my friend really talked up the place

Best prime rib and fish and chips on the north shore. Mike the cook is so friendly and Amy the bar tender is so friendly and great to be behind the bar and waitress

Food was decent, but service was absolutely horrible. 1 hour and 15 min until we got our food. Had to keep asking for drinks over and over. Some people that came in after us were getting served faster. It appears if your not a "regular" and the owners don't come talk to you at your table, your at the bottom of the line. Definitely won't be going back.

Service was not good. Order fish and clam meal had to request ketchup and a lemon Never saw waitress again. Food fresh, but prime rib not seasoned , fish plain taste. No aroma of food in restaurant smelled like air cleaner. Bus or food runner removed bread basket we wete not done with it Disappointed "Click" in staffing THEY expect they get 20 or plus percent without service rendered. Been there to long

Outstanding meal. I got the short ribs because they are my favorite when they are on a menu. I've had them at many restaurants, this was by far the best I've ever gotten. Portion sizes were amazing. Yesterday I had fried haddock at another restaurant and the portion size was a third the size of the dinner here that my friend had and it was much more expensive than here. Bottom line if you want great food at reasonable prices, this is the place to go. I will be back.

Me and my family went this past Saturday night for dinner. The service was awesome and our waitress was always smiling and trying to make you laugh. Our food OMG all I have to say is it was amazing. We got the fried calamari for a appetizer and it was a huge serving and so delicious. We all got prime rib one with baked shrimp, one with fried shrimp and one with a lobster pie. The prime rib was the best that we have ever had. The shrimp dishes and lobster pie was also outstanding. If you have never been you should go. I know me and my family will be regulars there.

Excellent food!! Best beef tips we’ve ever had, very fresh salad and excellent butternut squash! Fantastic desserts!!! They made sure they catered to my gluten free needs as well, and did it so pleasantly!!

Went tonight for my parents 50th anniversary. Every one of us loved our meals. The price per plate for the quality is a bargain. Drinks were fantastic as well. We will definitely be back. Congratulations to the new owners on elevating an already good establishment.

We love the sweetheart inn. So happy to see it back open. I have tried something new each time and loved it which is rare for me! Usually I get the same thing every time! I highly recommend: the lobster shrimp scampi, Mediterranean bowl, Buffalo cauliflower, and any steak (NY strip is my favorite)! The service is always great Jen is our favorite server :) Back room available for functions too!

I was happy to be back after several yrs. I ordered the pot roast very tasty but the meat was not in nice slices but just kind of chopped up pieces of beef did not make a nice presentation at all .. waitress forgot my husbands clam chowder but he was given it same time as his meal. He ordered haddock and shrimp florentine he liked it very much. Maybe they have few kinks to work out but I eat with my eyes and this dish lacked presentation . We will definitely try it again! Good luck

Went on a Saturday night. The restaurant was very busy. We had made a reservation. So happy we did. Sat down right on time. Was greeted by our waitress Cara. She was very friendly. Ordered a cup of coffee, it came out nice and hot. Then ordered our salad. Excellent portion very fresh. For our entree we had the Mediterranean bowl. It was excellent. Filled with quinoa and vegetables. It was delicious. Great portion size. Took home some for the next day. Our waitress was wonderful very friendly and came to our table numerous times to check on us. And she was very busy serving other guests. The only downside to the restaurant is that it is noisy. Hard to carry on a conversation. Will definitely go back. My husband is a Vietnam Marine veteran and someone in the room paid for our dinner. There are kind and generous people in this crazy world. We appreciated that opportunity and we pay that forward.

Wow! Seafood Casserole was amazing: Excellent, tasty, and succulent. King Cut Prime Rib was absolutely delicious, cooked rare- it was perfect! Baked haddock was superbly fabulous.

Heard about sweetheart inn from a co worker. It was WONDERFUL! We knew we wanted the prime rib and called ahead to make sure the cook we wanted was available. So accommodating over the phone, even writing the kitchen a ticket to ensure we received what we wanted. It’s a small place but with so much charm. We weren’t rushed which was appreciated. And the food was delicious. The prime rib was fantastic! This is a place to sit down, have a drink and wait between appetizers and main course. ENJOY THE EXPERIENCE!
