Best burger I’ve ever had! I had the mountain burger, wife the club on sourdough and boys chicken fingers. Service was quick and waitresses were super nice. A bit of a wait but it’s not fast food, it’s homemade and fantastic. It’s an old school diner that hasn’t been updated and it’s absolutely perfect for where it is. The mountain burger filled me up, it’s also extremely flavourful. Strawberry milkshake was legit! Keep up the great work.

Food here is pretty good! I love their breakfast sets. Very old school diner where lots of movies and films have graced this diner. Please be patient though as it gets busy.

Went for breakfast. Didn't have to wait in line. The place is more spacious inside then it appears from the outside. Food was great. The portion sizes are quite large. The coffee was delicious.

The food and atmosphere was amazing at Hilltop Diner Cafe! I order the patty melt and the eclair pie. They were with very delicious and tasted very fresh. The fries with the patty melt was also hot and crispy. I enjoyed everything that I ate here. In addition, the service was very good. The servers were very attentive and kind. I would recommend stopping by here if you pass by Langley!

This is the type of place you visit for a slice of pie and leave with a new friend! 🤓🙋🏽‍♀️ I enjoyed talking with other locals while dining here. Hilltop is a classic vintage cafe / old-fashioned diner with a small-town vibe. I have only tried their pie 🍰 so far, but I look forward to coming back with others and trying their breakfast, brunch, and lunch items. I wish they were open later than 2:30pm... I drive by SO often later in the day, wanting to stop in. 2 suggestions: 1) I would LOVE to see a pie with a peanut butter 🥜 flair... How about a Snickers pie?!? 🍫 😁🤔 2) Would LOVE to see old-fashioned shredded hash browns added as an option 🙌 ~ *Shop small, Support local*

If you’re going to have a long day and aren’t sure when you’ll get a chance to break for lunch get yourself fed with the big breakfast. Not sure exactly what it’s called but this plateful will feed your hungry soul, ready to take on the next adventure. One star removed for the nasty carpet, I kind of like it, but my dear wife wouldn’t stop staring at it so I had to make a deduction! Will certainly drop in again for another go.

Great local spot for good food with generous portions! I had the half order of Ham Benny-probably one of the best hollandaise sauces I’ve ever tasted. Breakfast potatoes don’t photograph well but trust me they are delicious 😋 Staff were friendly and attentive.

Ordered the hilltop burger... there is a sweetness in it which I think is coming from their onion. I don't like sweetness in the burger. Other than that it was ok... average. The fries was very good, crispy, golden and delicious. Also order the Neopolitan pie for dessert... it was way better than I expected... decent size and delicious... vanilla, chocolate and strawberry... really good. The atmosphere is ok... a bit old and very casual.

Nice diner feel inside. Large portion of smashed potatoes. Sampled chocolate cream pie and lemon meringue before taking home. Wish this was close to Burnaby.

Hilltop was fantastic and delicious. I got the Hilltop breakfast with eggs over medium and sourdough. The sour dough toast was yummy and nicely browned and buttered. The eggs were cooked well and the heap of mashed potatoes that this menu item came with. Holy moly. A generous amount and good flavours with it too. I highly recommend getting it with turkey gravy. Staff was attentive, quick and warm welcoming. Highly recommend this place to eat.

After reading the numerous reviews about the Hilltop Diner Cafe, the Missus and I finally made it for a late afternoon lunch as she was famished again. The building and inside decor transforms you back to the 1950's or 60's. We found the service and food excellent. Both servers worked together in unison checking up on us and refilling our coffee. We enjoyed our turkey and clubhouse sandwiches. For dessert, the coconut and banana cream pies were really delectable and top notched. We look forward to trying their signature breakfast meals and of course, other variety of pies.

This place is a Langley staple for my husband and I. The food is well-priced with generous portions, and the staff are always fast and attentive. The place fills up quick on the weekends so be prepared, but there is usually a spot at the bar available. And we always have to get pie to go!

Came because of the show supernatural where Dean ate pie at. Nothing about the show was posted but the food looked good and the staff was friendly but it felt rushed because they are SO BUSY. Definitely don't go during peak times you'll have a wait.

Thought we would try Hilltop for the first time and were not disappointed. I had the Clubhouse (pictured) and my wife had the BLT which were fresh and delicious. Instead of fries we both had onion rings. We were too full to have any pie but they all looked great. Definitely want to try the pie next time.

Well I heard this was a great little diner. So I had the Everest burger with chili fries. The burger was huge and plenty of chili fries. The only down side was even though I bought the most expensive meal on the menu the waitress hardly checked in on me. She offered to get me a glass of water at the start to go with my pop cause the chili was spicy. But I had to get her attention near the end of my meal for that water. That was the only downside. Wasn't asked how things were going

Diner done right - solid little place with a big heart and big portions. Small space but be patient. Amazing staff. Save room for pie (call ahead if you want whole fruit or cream pies, otherwise they sell by the slice). Featured on Diner, Drive and Dives, You Gotta Eat Here, and a few tv shoes/movies, but you won’t find a lick of any mention - they’re humble here!

What a lovely place. We went there with my husband a month ago, and that place was so good to do not write a review. Friendly and service staff. We ordered two sandwiches with their homemade fries, and OMG! it was beyond delicious. The only sad thing about my trip there was that I was so full that I could not eat any of those good-looking pies. It will be the next time for sure. I love Diners places like Hilltop Dine Cafe, so please if you are in Langley make time and treat yourself.

The burgers were good and the fries were fresh. It is a 1960’s diner style. They have milkshakes and different pies. Gigantic burgers (1lb of beef) and lots of brunch options. It is exactly what you would expect from a diner.

This was a great little diner with fantastic food. The menu was simple but had all the key ingredients. I arrived at 145 on a Tuesday afternoon. Upon arriving the waitress mentioned they were closing at 230. Which was fine... Other than the fact that she kept mentioning it to all the customers who arrived after me. Hence the reason for the 4 star rating. She kept repeating it... Customers ordering dessert at 210 were told they only had 20 minutes to finish their dessert. The club sandwich was over the top good. But the reminder of the time constraint was a complete turn off. Fix this and you'll get a five star. No one needs to be reminded they need to rush... If you're open till 230, stop taking orders at 230, and close at 3. Just my opinion.

It was awful experience. No water to drink. The old lady is super rude. Even food isn’t bad but we won’t go back again.

Love this cute local gem. Friendly casual service, good food. Come with my husband when we both have days off for a nice local breakfast or brunch when we can. My favourite is the smash browns and coconut cream pie.

Went on search of the famous breakfast. Unfortunately we arrived at 1115 and missed it. They do have generic all-day breakfast fare but no pancakes or other carbalicious options after 11. I opted for a spinach salad (far cry from the fat stack of hotcakes I was seeking!). I was asked if I wanted a full-, or half-, order of the spinach salad - I ordered the full. The picture below shows the empty bowl the salad came in... It was tiny! Thank God I ordered the full. That said, it was delicious. The salad was missing the candied pecans that were advertised, as they were all out, but they gave me a discount when I called it out. This was my first time at the cafe without a line up. I felt super lucky but soon realized it is likely because I was late and breakfast was no longer available 😔 Service was friendly and food came out pretty quick, albeit we were one of three tables at the time... It soon got busier. Will go back but will certainly ensure I make it for breakfast!

Cute place, good service, but the food was bland, at least our eggs benny was even with salt and pepper, (apparently the pie and French toast is the best there).

Prices seems very expensive for a diner. The food was good and the service was great. I came especially to try the pie, got the chocolate eclair and it was tasty but I suspect it may have just been made from a box mix. We got 2 entrees, a coffee and a slice of pie and bill came to $50!

Loved they followed covid protocols. Wait time wasn't bad. Food was good and huge portions! Definitely want to come back for the pies! Love the old time feel!

Great diner cafe. I enjoyed dining under the covered patio. The food was good and the staff were attentive. They are famous for their homemade pies which tasted great!

Great piece of Local History! Be sure to read the Background/History piece on the menu! Absolutely MUST have the hashbrowns! It is getting very difficult to find genuine hashbrowns at most restaurants anymore... The Hilltop has The BEST! Be sure to take home the leftovers, they pan-fry Really nice the next day! The homemade beans... They should sell a jar of them to go!

The food was very good. I had the hot turkey sandwich and Hubby had the beef dip. He said it was one of the best he has ever had. The food is all home made and you can tell. I also took a piece of caramel coconut cake home. It was incredible. Prices are very reasonable

I found this place through tiktok and I am so glad I did. Farmers market sausage and smashbrowns were so so so good. I wasn’t sure what to expect with the smashbrowns and safe to say I’ve never had something like them. Our server was Michelle and she was so sweet. The owner was also working while we were there and I love that they were hustling around with everyone else! We will definitely be back for both the food and the pies!!

My favorite diner/cafe I've ever been to. I stop here every time I come over from Victoria. The pies are all world class, and the food is awesome every time. My dad's been coming here for 40+ years, and he won't stop anytime soon. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu, the staff is super friendly, and it's not super expensive. Highly recommend trying their burgers too, as well as any of the breakfast food.
