This was so cool! This little town was absolutely adorable! Although everything was closed on a Sunday except the Superman store. I would have thought the coffee shop or food would have been open. There was a decent amount of people walking around looking for a place to sit and eat. Just check the hours before you make that long drive for your visit to metropolis.

This is a great small town to visit for a day trip or overnight. The Theme for city is awesome. If you love the small town feel this is a great place to stop and site see. There is also an inexpensive museum across the street from the Statue .

This enormous Superman statue does not disappoint. If you're driving through the area, you definitely need to stop by and snap a couple of selfies with the Man of Steel. (Don't forget Lois Lane and the kryptonite rock too!)

A fun stop to see the Home of Superman! Nice little gift shop/museum situated across the street from the statue. Great photo ops around town. A must see for any super hero fan.

We made a quick stop here on our way to St. Louis. It was right before dark and the area was completely dead. That was actually nice because we were only stopping to take a photo of our son with the statue. The police station is right next to it so that was an added comfort as it got dark. It's a neat little area to take pics, if you have a little Superman fan.

Great stop on our road trip. Made it just in time to visit the museum gift shop and walk around a bit. I think the highlight for my husband was the Superman statue, though! This is a great FREE attraction on the square.

Super cool it is not advertised enough but thats probably a good thing. there is an adorable town down the main strip and what i think is a casino on the water. You could probably have a nice family weekend in this town. worth a couple of hour drive.

Short drive off the interstate, great place to stretch your legs and take a few pictures. Kids loved it, smiles all around.

Really cool to finally get to see Metropolis in person as opposed to just driving by the exit.

It's a pretty cool place if you grew up in the sixties and seventies, don't know about younger folks.
