It's
with
genuine
regret
and
disappointment
that
I
pen
down
this
review.
My
visit
to
McDonald's
on
Monday
August
7,
2023
around
10:30
pm
left
a
bitter
taste,
and
it
wasn't
because
of
the
food.
My
trust
in
this
esteemed
brand
has
been
shaken
by
an
experience
that
reeked
of
discriminatory
behavior.
From
the
outset,
the
order-taking
process
felt
skewed.
After
selecting
the
right
lane
on
the
driveway,
we
patiently
waited
our
turn.
But
something
seemed
amiss.
Despite
our
lane
being
clear,
the
employee
on
the
till
kept
processing
orders
from
the
left
lane,
bypassing
us
completely.
His
explanation
was
that
the
till
software
was
being
updated.
Accepting
this
at
face
value,
we
patiently
waited.
However,
as
minutes
ticked
by
and
several
cars
from
the
other
side
were
served,
the
situation
became
increasingly
questionable.
Feeling
a
bit
sidelined,
we
decided
to
take
a
proactive
approach
by
reversing
into
the
left
lane,
hoping
for
better
service.
But
alas,
the
same
employee
seemed
intent
on
ignoring
us,
offering
the
excuse
that
now
the
left-side
till
software
was
updating.
The
inconsistency
in
his
statements
and
actions
left
us
feeling
unfairly
treated.
Whether
it
was
a
genuine
system
issue
or
a
reflection
of
prejudiced
behavior,
the
experience
was
undeniably
unpleasant.
For
a
brand
that
stands
tall
on
the
global
stage,
priding
itself
on
customer
service
and
inclusivity,
this
particular
outlet
left
us
disillusioned.
I
hope
that
this
incident
is
an
isolated
one,
and
that
McDonald's
addresses
such
issues
promptly
to
ensure
that
all
customers,
regardless
of
background
or
appearance,
are
treated
with
the
respect
and
efficiency
they
deserve.
