Well what can I say... The chef here is a genius... I've not met a chef yet that has managed to deliver a steak that was this close to borderline perfect. I ordered a 24oz T.Bone cooked medium but no blood... This steak was amazing without a drop of blood all the way to the bone. For that alone I've given this review 5 stars. The service from the staff was great and the other dishes were also fantastic My partner's Haddock and chips was delicious 😋 We were a party off 4 and all the food was great.... I would strongly recommend to the management that more chips should be added to the high value meals.. my £25 T.bone was seriously lacking chips guys It's not a high cost item and anyone ordering a large meal wants to leave full & feel it's good value for money... Yesterday I had to nick some chips from other people in our party !! From experience the lamb chops are to die for at beefeater but have been excluded from the new menu and also the mixed grill options have change so I was more than a little disappointed on arrival as that's what my partner had at the last venue while on our holiday and wanted to repeat this order for her birthday meal..🤨 The prices on the new menu were a little high but signing up on the website gave us a 25% off food.... (You need to wait 3 days for the discount to arrive by email.) However If you also sign up for the free rewards card this should give you another voucher for 50% off another food order and the rewards card seems very user friendly where points are concern 5 points per £ and 500 points to a voucher so every £100 spent should get you a voucher however it wouldn't complete the registration on my phone and i haven't been able to successfully do it to date ☹️ It really pleased me to see the staff systematically cleaning the menus as that it a real downside of most pub chains. I would happily recommend this beafeater... But for value I'd go on the website and sign up for discounts before attending. We saved £19 but the 4 meals and 3 drinks was still £68 so special occasion not every day for us. Photos show the food and cleanliness of restaurant A big well done to the chef but a little heavier on the chips next time please guys 😉 😎😎😎

The restaurant seemed short staff as both staff and manager were occupied on arrival, but it wasn't a long wait before we were seen too. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We didn't have to wait too long for our food. The meal was nice, cooked well especially the steak.

We thought it was good food for the price paid. We were served quickly. Good steaks. We will be returning with our newly registered loyalty card.

Beefeater have certainly improved over the past couple of years. I would say the menu caters adequately for those that require larger meals, and would appear to be good value for money. Staff was friendly and polite, I think the restaurant needed to be busier to have a more vibrant atmosphere, but for me just grabbing a quick meal after work, it was fine.

Sunday lunch on 13 February. Between four of us we had lamb chops, turkey and grilled salmon. The food was delicious and perfectly cooked. It was served with lots of love and care by Donna, the one who always remembers our names whenever we dine there and is so attentive to our needs at all times. Nothing seems to be too difficult for her and she’s always checking in to ensure that everything is ok for us. That’s why we keep returning to this restaurant.

Had the fillet, which was lovely, but the rest of the plate looked extremely sad. Considering I paid £21.99, I would have got better from a Weatherspoon. Next, the desert! Described as "Vanilla ice cream layered with warm chocolate brownie and chocolate flavoured sauce topped with cream".... sounds lovely doesn't it. Well what I got was a glass full of plain vanilla ice cream and cream. There was one cube 2.5 cm square of brownie and right at the bottom one dollop of chocolate sauce. Nothing chocolaty about it. I spent £40 on my meal alone. I Certainly expect better from a Beefeater.

So...I have to stay at these places while away with work and let's just say I have stayed in some interesting Premier inns. When I pulled up here I really wasn't expecting much at all and looking at all the flood marks on the ceiling in the Beefeater I could tell this place had been through the wars... But and yes, never judge a book by it's cover I have to say the staff were what made this place...super friendly and nothing was a problem. I ate in the restaurant both evenings and was really impressed with the standard of the food as well......shocked....actually enjoyed it. Premier inn bosses take note, the staff make these places and I could tell a number of the staff had worked here a long time which really showed.

As a vegetarian going with my family of 6, I was disappointed with the new menu. Only 2 choices a salad or vegan burger. My children also missed the chicken burger. Probably will not go back which is a pity as is a really nice place.

First time here for Sunday roast and disappointed. £12.99 for roast sirloin of beef with unlimited roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, and gravy. Being a greedy carnivore, I can't resist ordering an extra slice of lamb at £1.99. What I got was a stringy portion of 3 very super thin slices 4x6cm (must be from a pigmy bullock) of well cooked medium sirloin of beef and even a thinner and smaller slice of overcooked lamb. Nearly 10 minutes into my meal I asked for an extra Yorkshire pudding and gravy, 10 minutes passed by before I could attract the waitress attention and eventually 5 minutes later I got them but I had already cleaned my plate!

The breakfast spread at this BEEFEATER is extremely varied, lots of cereal, juices, pastries, bread, I chose the full English, it was hot , freshly made and cooked just right. Our host Charlotte was able and capable, it was a very session with lots of people, she was a natural host.

Was staying at the Premier Inn and decided to pop in for dinner. I cannot remember the burger I had, but it was amazing. And on the side they had some salad which had a dressing that I have never tasted before it was very nice too. The bun wasn't toasted to a crisp like most do, and the meat was perfectly cooked. The host was well mannered and very polite. The pint of Coke was expensive though.

What ever you do don't turn up unexpectedly. Came for breakfast on Sunday morning as a group of 13. 6 adults 7 kids, granted we tried to book but your booking system online didn't allow it late at night. Greeted with a reply off it is a Sunday don't you know you should book. Why? We don't have to book, if you don't have any available tables we would of gone else where and even then the restaurant was empty and empty when we left. Food was great the continental side always kept topped up never ran out of anything, cooked breakfast great as well. Overall staff not very friendly but food good.

Avoid at all costs!! You would have a 0 if I could!!! Table booked for 12.00pm for myself and my x2 children. Arrived at 11.45am to get my children settled etc. Was told they was not open till 12pm, waited in the car with my hungry children. Returned inside to be advised the table wasn't ready for a further 15min and that they are still clearing breakfast?? Jokers The establishment was empty at the time? Futhering this our food was on the hot plate for over 20min? It left us with no choice but to vacate the restaurant, im not prepared to give my children poor health for your errors and you being understaffed!! Customer services are shocking also, little respect and consideration from staff!!

After waiting 45 minutes for a sharer Sunday dinner, we received cold lamb, luke warm beef, wilted warm brocolli. Not a very nice experience. We refused to pay for a cold dinner.

Celebrating mums 81st birthday (17/10/23) Our waitress was at first a bit offish at first as I asked if we could change where sitting due to mum having trouble sitting as no leg room. Once ordering she did cheer up and gave great service , food was excellent. Another member of staff did help bring food to table but oh my how rude was she !! (I am pretty sure she was a team leader or maybe management, didn’t catch her name) Considering we were a table of 6 people her service was unacceptable as one member of booking politely asked if she could had her eggs on gammon changed to runny eggs as hers were well over cooked….. we were spoken too very sharply. “Well did you order them runny !! “. Our reply was no as didn’t think too and member of staff just gave us a look !! All the years of going to this restaurant and never had a problem with staff before.

Staff were lovely! I ordered the Roast dinner plenty of Turkey. It could of been hotter! But tasty.. my Friend ordered the Steak she said it was also tasty... But she ordered the Prawns which were a side extra at 4.99 Mighty dissapointed as there was 2 lonely prawns on top of her steak! Come on!! 4.99 for 2 prawns? 2.50 a prawn! We expected at least a bowl of them, Definately more than 2 we did question and waitress & she said it was up to the chef!! I will add they were the big prawns not the tiny ones! But even so!! Not worth the money!

Dispite the fact the poor waitress was on her own this is by far the best Beefeater we've been to. The food was amazing, perfectly cooked and seasoned, well presented and hot. The waitress was cheerful and helpful, apologetic even though it wasn't her fault. Give your staff a raise and enough staff to cope when you put special offers on so if one phones in sick they're not left on their own dealing with a busy restaurant. Well done to the lovely bubbly Hannah

Great breakfast with my family. The 2 kids eat free per adult breakfast is fantastic value. There’s so much choice and it’s all freshly cooked to order. The continental selection was a hit for the younger ones. Great service from the young woman with blonde hair and the head scarf.

Went for lunch as a party of 6. Not too many people in the restaurant as it was a Tuesday. We used a discount voucher for our meals which were off the grill menu. Two had steaks, two had mixed grill, one had salmon and the other had rack of ribs. There was an option of chips or sweet potato fries with the steaks and french fries were served with the salmon. Good meals and good service would recommend.

Not happy with portion size For £14 I got smothered chicken that's was literally the size of the top end of a pint glass Tiny it was With about 10 chunky chips Don't get me wrong was nice but shocking for the money I'm still starving

A bit disappointing. Waited 45 minutes as chef rang out of food and need to recook some more food, leaving cooked food under warmer, by the time we got our food it was warm. Sausages were tasty tho. Table of 6 😂

Very hospitable in terms of customer service and the food and the deal was excellent. We had the kids eat free breakfast. Super value.

We were told there was a 20 min wait on food. 45mins later the plates of cold food arrived. It was very dry as as well as cold. We had not been given a receipt for our purchases so could not post feedback online. To be fair we were refunded fully because neither of our meals were edible.

Never been to a Beefeater before so we thought we would try it. We had ribs, a steak and and a steak and ale pie. The ribs were very flavorful. Kinda on the dry side but not bad. They came with 2 sides but when I asked for the onion rings that weren't on my plate the server brought me out a small bowl with 2 onion rings in it. Um....really? The steak was nice. The pie was pretty alright too. The highlight was the Barr cream soda with vodka drink. Oh man, that was so yummy!!

Just a quick stop for dinner on our way North but very happy with the friendly, quick service. Food was typical chain fare - our choices Smothered Chicken and Sirloin Steak - but food was tasty and well cooked. Triple cooked chips and the coleslaw were particularly good. Bacon on top of chicken could have been more well cooked - it looked pale and unappetising. Decor was nice and fresh looking. Toilets very clean. Would definitely stop there again.

Saw the online offer for lunch at under a tenner and decided to go and give it a shot. Wasn't expecting a great deal but was pleasantly surprised. We had a very nice tender steak and chips which was cooked fresh and well presented. Service was very good as well, all served with a smile and a friendly chat. Well done beefeater, we will be back !!

Sunday afternoon visit for 6, reservation made easily enough via call. Venue was nice and clean and great size. Staff were efficient, polite and professional. Food ordered and came in good time with drinks just before, all food was well received and tasty including the two meals that were carvery based and most surprisingly (in a good way) the carvery food was hot which does not always happen. Overall great experience and would visit again. Thanks

Great breakfast, although the tea could have been better presented

The service was great and the food was 'ok'. Its the kind of place that serves good food, so long as you order the grill and nothing that can be microwaved. Good overall tho

Had a special meal here, however 16oz rib eye steak was very thin, and despite asking for medium rare, it turned up well done, possibly due to the time it spent under the heat lamp! Wife's chicken burger with cheese and bacon, had no bacon, and her french fries were as hard as nails. Complained and got some money off, however not an ideal place for a special meal. Shame as being a beef eater restaurant you would expect them to get the steak right.

What a terrible breakfast!!!!! The only thing I was happy with on my plate & what was hot was the sausage's everything else was cold or luck warm 😏 waiting staff were very good & we didn't complain, we arrived as they opened at 6:30 so why hadn't the food been cooked to order???? There was only the two of us & one other in the restaurant???WE Didn't have time to kick up a fuss we were there for a breakfast business meet!!! After that I had to drive down to Devon on business, was it a coincidence that I had to stop on numerous occasions because of feeling of colour & vomiting!!! We will never step foot in the Plough again!!!!!!!🤮🤮

I had a mixed grill, the meats were all cooked to perfection, including the steak which I had medium rare. The chips were hot too. The service was friendly and prompt. Slightly pricey but I think thats average for where it is located. Highly recommended!

My sister and myself had an evening meal here on Tuesday with our disabled Uncle and felt we must praise the staff for their superb service! This was our Uncle’s first trip out in eighteen months due to the restrictions and precautions of Covid so he was understandably anxious. Rachel especially couldn’t of done anymore to help us relax and feel welcome, her lovely manner with my Uncle deserves considerable praise from her manager she was wonderful! The meal was good but on this occasion your staff were the stars, thank you!
