I stopped by Latin Port.'s grand opening today. Vivian, the owner, was super nice and explained all the different foods to me. The ambiance is spacious, cool and clean looking. I got the chicken tinga tacos with pickled onions. Excellent! I encourage everybody to check this place out. Another great addition to Metuchen. Edit: a few months into opening. I really like the new ambiance. It wasn't bad at all before, but now it's even more fun and festive. I love coming here.

Vegan food was delicious!! Recommend tofu bowl with 2 sides and free toppings. They are doing a promo where if you leave 5 stars you get a free drink, but the food was good.

Delicious and plentiful! After going a few times, I’ve sampled all their proteins and most of their sides - everything I’ve had so far has been delicious! My two standouts are the Brazilian Moqueca Fish (tilapia, I think) and the Costa Rican Carne en Salsa. The homemade fresh juices are great! Vibe is fast-casual. There is seating inside and outdoors (with umbrellas; dog friendly).

We Have eaten here twice in the last month. It is a totally new restaurant serving a variety of Latina inspired dishes. Their food is really fresh and the environment is clean and bright. There are only a number of tables that you can sit on the place is not that big. There is a window counter where I sat with the fam. I only gave four stars because I've tried many of these dishes in different places. They have everything from tacos to pork ribs and rice. The meat is well seasoned and you have a choice of pork, chicken, beef or fish. They have yellow rice and white rice as well as a variety of beans. The empanadas are amazing! They are Costa Rican empanadas and they have a different crust than the average Cuban or Puerto Rican empanada. I would highly recommend these. The white rice I enjoyed a lot more than the yellow rice. The black beans which I had were flavorful but not thick like Cuban or Puerto Rican beans. The staff and service were very accommodating and willing to tell the customers what the different meals were. They have a very delicious roasted Peruvian chicken, and beef stew. They are willing to give you samples so that you can try which is great! They sell fresh tamarind, passionfruit or lemonade as well as a variety of Mexican sodas. It's a great place for Latino comfort food. I would recommend that if you are in Metuchen, New Jersey you give them a try. The restaurant is very accessible and has a small parking lot in the rear with wheelchair accessible parking. The inside is also accessible.

Ordered from here through doordash. On the app, it said whole chicken, but it's really only 2 pieces. The initial bite of the skin was very tasty. 2nd bite felt a bit off. Little investigating by pulling the meat off, I felt my chicken was undercooked. Mexican corn was good. I ordered boiled yuca but received fried yuca.

Rotisserie chicken is a must try! Similar to Boston Market prices but better quality food. Staff was friendly and service is quick!

Always love to see restaurants with owners who clearly put in work and pride into the food that they serve. Vivian and her crew, do not disappoint! As a foodie who's been trying to introduce various Central and South American flavor profiles to my friends and family, Latin Port is fantastic, with amazing value. My favorites are the red beans over rice, curtido (like a pickled, spicy cole slaw, served best with pupusas), carne en salsa (beef stew), and moqueca (fish stew).

My family go to restaurant for comfort food from Latin America. There are not a lot of choices but the food is amazing and very delicious. They are well priced and the medium dish with one meat us so big portion that you can't find it anywhere else. Also the staff is very friendly!

First time here, and the food was so good. The staff made my wife and myself feel welcome! I definitely recommend my friends coming here and enjoying all the different kinds of latin flavor!!

Wow I was in New Jersey for a seminar and came across this restaurant and I am happy I did. I met the owner who was very nice and helpful. The food was amazing and it’s well worth the money

I love the food here it is rich and flavorful. The servers are so nice and the portion sizes generous. They have a variety of foods to choose from including a cold salad bar. If you aren't sure what you want they offer a sample for you to try. Perfect spot for a nice lunch out with a friend or for a quick lunch break stop. Everything here is sooo good!! Make sure you stop by you won't regret it!
