PROs - amazing tea , ambience , service CONs- parking , price slightly high One of the best bubble teas I have ever had ! Wow . Such amazing flavor … so many different varieties!! My son loves this . They have such an amazing ambience . I love their sit in the floor concept . You can order thro a terminal and customize the order based on ur preference - sweet, sweeter , sweetest etc ;) amazing service . They are quick and very helpful. Only issue is the parking ! Of course it’s on Main Street and is very tough to get a parking ! Price was also slightly high but it’s ok once in a while ! Loved this place anyways and will surely go back ..

This gem of a store opened up a few months ago and I’ve heard nothing but great things. Today, I was finally able to make it in and was delighted at how cute everything is. We ordered the rose milk tea with boba - it was delicious!! We also ordered the Taiwanese sausage and crispy chicken at the recommendation of our lovely server Andy. The cups they put the tea in are so well I’m going to hang onto mine. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Best of luck to you and we will definitely be back!

The bubble tea is tasty but it’s very expensive. The lady at the cash register was not helpful when I asked if they had some sort of loyalty program. The male colleague of hers was much more helpful and informative about their Snackpass program. We put in our order and the same lady made the drink. She was stingy and put the saddest bit of ice cream on the drink. She made a tiny circle with the soft serve ice cream and finished with a drop on top. For a drink that cost $9 before tip, this was extremely disappointing.

This is probably my favorite bubble tea place. I prefer this location compared to the new one at Rutgers because this has a lot of seating and is good for studying. The bubble tea is so good and the tapioca is a great texture and taste. I wish there was different sizes but i cant complain about having a large drink☺️. The snacks are so good especially the chicken and the taiwanese sausage. I wish the menu was easier to understand especially if you came for the first time but its still good none the less. Fries are so good too. I also love the loyalty card concept, i just earned mine recently.

This is a great place to hangout with friends. They also have a good interior setup. I took the regular taro milk tea with bubbles which is very good. Bubbles are very soft and I like it that way. Give it a try if you are in the area

Fresh ingredients and great drinks, wide selection of bubble teas, fruit slushes and snacks. Great atmosphere, casual Japanese style interior. Easy A+ recommended.

Love it! The mango shaved ice and the waffle(w/ tapioca) were so tasty. It's bright and clean inside. The restroom was maintained well. The watermelon drink was refreshing. The shovel spoons were ridiculously cute!

I think this is a neat bubble tea cafe. I like the relaxing interior set ups the store has. It is great for friends to grab some drinks and snacks and hang around. Or if you can grab a drink and get some work done in the cafe as long as you don’t mind the average noise level, as customers do walk in and out. Their drinks are pretty good. The egg waffle is alright, definitely not the best. It is crunchy though, but missing some egg flavor. And tbh, imo a bit overpriced. If I am revisiting, I will definitely grab their drink and maybe try out their other food snack, maybe not the overpriced egg waffles next time.

AKIHI is one of the most recent elevations in boba (bubble tea) experiences and franchising in New Jersey. For anyone who's gone to KitTea in Highland Park and has enjoyed their products and experiences, this is very much an upscale version of that (they are the same company). AKIHI levels up boba my primarily upping the atmosphere. It is certainly hard to find better seating and décor in a boba spot in Central Jersey that is nicer than AKIHI. Their integration of Snackpass makes it a very streamlined experience for ordering, regardless of whether you ordered ahead of time or in-store. The staff has also been carefully selected to be very helpful, very pleasant, and efficient at their jobs. You often find many boba spots that are understaffed with long wait times, it is very refreshing to see the volume of orders that the AKIHI team can handle while still being able to have a conversation with their customers. Sidenote: my go-to drink at KitTea was the ice cream milk tea, in which they provide a scoop of ice cream at the bottom of the cup. AKIHI uses soft-serve, which blends much more smoothly with the drink and will actually move up your straw.

Clean, quiet, there were a few people ahead of me, they were nice, they have discounts available after you buy a drink. Parking on main street sometimes is tricky, but this is a busy place, definitely a good spot to go in the afternoon when you want a bubble tea.

Fantastic atmosphere, surprisingly spacious bubble tea spot. Bubble tea is good, offering trendy and typical refreshing teas/milk teas. Food is good too, perfectly simple snacks to accompany your drink.

Visited this place as my son loves Bubble tea. We ordered chocolate milk tea with boba. Total price for 1 drink including tax and tips came to 9 bucks. I thought it is a bit too much. The drink was okay but not value for bucks.

Really enjoy the unique varieties of bubble tea here. I got the Dragon Yakult Soda bubble tea, which was basically carbonated Yakult with chunks of dragonfruit. Took a bit of time for the drink to be made, but there’s a nice interior with sitting on a mat on a raised floor and a bar counter and 1 group of chairs. Nice touch with the Metuchen art on the cup holders. The cups themselves are cool with a built in cap for the small opening. Would be interested in coming back to try their other unique flavors.

Not happy with the pinky drink. It’s pretty but it’s like a really artificially watered down version of the starbucks pink drink. I had high hopes and wanted to try something new, but they unfortunately did not meet my expectations. Wish I got another drink like their milk teas :(
