I RV’d at their campground this past week for 3 nights. The campground hasn’t fully recovered from Hurricane Mike in 2018, but let me tell you, the stay was perfect. Great, kind, cheerful staff who go above and beyond to make sure your stay is fun, quiet and enjoyable. The facilities; office, rest rooms and laundry were super. The best I’ve seen anywhere as I travel across America. The beach, yep, the beautiful Mexico Beach was directly across the street. Wow! And groceries, etc. a few miles away. Great staff, great location, come stay and see peoples dedication and grit at work…💕

We stayed 2-/2 months in the RV Park winter 2022. It was so clean, fun and relaxing. It is fantastic being right across the street from the beach. The park is well maintained with a couple spots for dogs to go potty, a free firepit with free firewood and a very clean laundry and shower house. The folks who work the office are all so nice and accommodating. Most of us who stayed were longer term rentals for the winter so it was fun to make new friends.

Not bad. I understand that everyone is still trying to overcome the Hurricane, and hope the next time we stay I can give 5 stars. PROS - very close and easy to get to the beach. Full hook up with 50amp service and double sewer hook up at our site. Very relaxed atmosphere not the chaos in Panama City. Every where we went service was excellent and friendly. CONS - No Pool Lots had very large gravel or rocks made walking difficult and tough on the feet. Lot was not level and drainage was very poor, and sandy soil made a mess when wet. Hopefully Ownership is still working on the sites. Definitely needs more grading and top dressing, along with some landscaping and a pool is a must.

Snow birding here from December thru February 2022. Walk across 2 lane US 98 and you are at the beach. Beach stretches in both directions for miles. It is always different. Seen dolphins, sea birds and so far never a shark. No lifeguards. Across street they are rebuilding El Governor hotel which should reopen late 2022 with pool and restaurant available to rv residents. Perimeter sites are on canals. We saw live baby gator, also herons, and many other birds. Sites on canals are not level to allow drainage. Left to right levels can be problematic as well. All sites are rock and gravel. The majority of sites are back in. Sites are adequate with a few more roomy. All sites are full hookup with 20, 30, and 50 amp connections at all of them. Sewer lines for back-in sites are nearer the front, which may mean 20-foot hose needed and uphill. This varies. Only 2 buildings, the main office, and the bathrooms/laundromat. Never ran out of hot water in showers. Staff is very friendly and helpful and usually leave by 3pm. They really show they care about the people staying with them. Maintenance staff is very good and fix issues quickly. We plan to stay here for years to come.

The view is awesome but how much are you willing to pay for that view? Be ready to fork out the bucks. Considering they had maybe 1/3 of their spots occupied, you'd think they would cut the prices a little. Oh wait! There was a hurricane down south and hurting people are looking for somewhere to go. That has to it. Lastly, there is No restaurant anywhere in Mexico Beach. Food trucks in places but no restaurant. Otherwise it is a very nice and clean campground.

It was nice that the park was walking distance to the best beach in the south!!!! The staff was very friendly!! But the campsites are too close to and our campsite 34 was a bit hard to back into... The campsite had big rocks that made it hard to walk on, .. The showers ,bathrooms and laundry is well kept, very clean. Looking forward to the queen to open back up... not leaving a nasty review, just posting my opinion.. May God continue to bless

We book every year, when we leave. This year (2023)our friends who we book slots beside each other, they had put someone in their spot, our paperwork had slot numbers and everything. This separated our kids for our once a year vacation that we paid for a year in advance. They offered no apology, no discount, or anything. The rocks are huge and hurt your feet, slots are too close and when you walk out your door, your looking at your neighbors sewer hose. Only thing that is good is your across road from beach. No cross walk so be prepared to run. Bathhouses are clean… we won’t be going back any more

Great place to camp. Walking distance to the beach. Wifi, cable. Bath house is nice if you need one. The only thing we didn't like is your right on top of each other. We would return though.

Great campground just across from the gulf. Bathhouse is very clean and RV spots offer full hookup. Staff, led by Tangie, is extremely friendly and do a great job! Have stayed here many times and will always be back.

We liked our stay, our first time camping at the beach. The beach is a short walk across the street, but no dogs allowed. Dogs are welcome on the beach just a couple miles down the road. At check in the lady was very kind, bathhouse is new and clean. All the hookups you need are included. The campsites are a bit close, but we had great neighbors on both sides. We went to Mexico Beach to have a quiet getaway, and that is what we got. Our best meal of our trip was at a hamburger food truck a couple of miles east of El Governor. The Ace Hardware has almost anything you need, except food, it is just a block away. Port St. Joe has a couple of places to get groceries, about 10 miles away. Be sure to visit the Shell Shack, and try the fish dip and steamed shrimp. Mexico Beach is rebuilding and looking great.

The ONLY things keeping this from a perfect 5 star review is the lack of a pool, which is slated to be open hopefully by 2024 per the staff, and the need for a full paving of the RV park. Other than that, it was absolutely perfect for our very first stay in Mexico Beach. You cannot beat the location. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed it so much, we already booked our next stay before we even left.

We enjoyed our stay at the RV Park quite a bit. It is an easy walk from there to the beach, though it is across the street with no crosswalk. It is a fairly quiet campground with some nice bathhouses, laundry room, and pavilion with swings. The only complaint we had was that the parking areas are not paved and gets rather mucky when it rains. Minor issue though. We look forward to the pool by the resort opening for next time we visit this area.

This is a very pretty RV park directly across the street from Mexico Beach. For those interested in visiting the beach, there is easy beach access directly across from the RV park. The RV park offers full hookup, has 20/30/50 amp, and sewer. There are other amenities such as complimentary WiFi and cable. There is a building where you can do laundry as well. The sites are pretty small and close together. We stayed in site 31 which was marketed as a lagoon view (back in to lagoon), but we were sad to realize that the view is completely obstructed by overgrown bush and brush. This was probably the biggest let down for us, but luckily for other guests who booked lagoon view sites, most of the other lagoon view sites actually offer views of the lagoon. I updated my review to change my rating from a 4 to a 3. After being here overnight and gaining another neighbor on the opposite side of us, we realized just how tight the spaces really are. Unfortunately, while we ate breakfast at our picnic table this morning, we dealt with the neighbor’s septic line going right beside it. It’s a shame the sites are so close together because this is otherwise a nice park. I just don’t think it can be rated higher than a 3 due to the cramped accommodations.

Great place to stay, we came for a weekend visit to the beach and loved it. Right across from the beach, nice bath house and laundry facilities, as well as a community area! The only thing is sites on the back can be a little tight depending what rigs the people beside you have but overall loved it!

We had a nice and quiet stay. When we got there the office was closed and nobody answered the phone but I noticed I had a missed call from them earlier in the day. We had to pick a spot because we didn't get a lot number. The only thing I would change is having a playground for the kids and more shade. I'm sure hurricane Michael played a role in that though

We were happy to find an RV park near the beach. This one is just across a 2-lane street to a beautiful, but very short beach which we enjoyed, but may be very crowded once the hotel is back up and running. The good: Friendly staff, clean restrooms and a nice large air-conditioned laundry room. A large fire-pit to gather around, furnished with fire-wood. A large covered pavilion with grills and picnic tables. Full hook-ups at each site. The bad: The parking spaces and roads inside the park consist of very large rocks and sand. The rock is loose and difficult to walk on, even within the sites. We don’t generally mind gravel lots, but this is not compacted gravel. Shoes are required at all times, even the dogs struggled to walk on it. We would love to see the sites be groomed and compacted with something more comfortable under foot. Make sure to bring blocks for under leveling pads for stabilization. Each site has a picnic table, but no concrete pad. No landscaping to speak of, but the park is recovering from a hurricane, so maybe that will come later. Dog-friendly, but I would not say child-friendly. No pools, play-grounds, or game rooms. Location and Services: Mango Marley’s, sports bar atmosphere, is open and walkable. There is also an Ace Hardware and Dollar General a few blocks away, and a small local grocery and liquor store. If you tow your RV or bring a toad, Port St Joe is nearby for more restaurants and groceries. Overall, we enjoyed the location, but hope they will improve the parking and out-door living spaces.

Great location with beach access across the street. The park has many long time rv'ers that stay for the winter. All the people are very friendly in this park. The RV parking spaces range from very tight to moderately tight. There are a few that let you breathe a little, too. The staff is very good here. Laundry room 4 washers and dryers with an ice machine for the park residents. I would consider this park if in the area again. My experience here is, there is an RV with a reverse plan that has 2 large living windows facing my living windows and door. These people never and I mean never pull the shades on the windows. I lift my shades and can watch what's on TV or get the full dining experience 24/7. Making the best of it today. The RV Park is across the street from El Governor Resort Hotel that was damaged from Hurricane Michael. It should open later this year. The storm surge went to the second story of the hotel during Hurricane Michael, wiping out everything in its path.

I stayed at the RV park, the Hotel was not finished being renovated so I cannot comment on the rooms. I will say the RV park is right across the street from the Beach, and the beach has silky soft sand. The RV spaces are large with lots of room. The showers are very clean and have hot water, not tepid, and a large laundry room.

We have been here for four months and can’t say enough good things about it. Easy in and easy out. We travel in a 40 ft fifth wheel. Some of the spots are pretty close together but still a great park. They have a brand new shower/laundry house. The have a community fire pit and picnic/grill area. Very quiet. The hotel is not open yet so there is no pool but right across the street from the beach. It is expensive but you get what you pay for. The other parks In Town do not hold a candle to this one. Everyone in the office is so nice!! They are dog friendly too with so many different places to walk them. Will definitely be back!

Great location right across street from fantastic beach. Great and friendly service. Bathroom and showers are new and kept very clean. Full hook up sites pretty much all new service since rebuild from hurricane damage. Hotel on beach across the street will be reopening soon also. Will be back.

Stayed at RV side . great location , across street from beach. The sites are tight and rocky but do able. The hurricane recovery around is still going on but it's looking good. I would stay again

It was my first time on an RV trip. I was glad to know that there was a bathhouse on site and that most importantly it was clean, and it was! Everything was well maintained, beach was within walking distance and everything was lovely.

We have to agree with another review, the large rocks made it uncomfortable and puddles emerge after a rain. Our site was level but the clay gets yucky. Location is what you pay for definitely and full hook ups and cable. Park has great potential

Excellent RV campground location directly across the road from powdery white sand beach. Sites are large gravel. Hookups all in good working order. Professional, friendly staff. We'll be back
