Meridians are nice chains. Not this one. Beds are SO hard it ruined our trip. No atmosphere..we never saw a person. Bar is quiet. Worst part was the bed and the front desk that would not upgrade us. So many hotels with comfortable beds in Mexico City. Stay away from this lousy one. Back hurt for rest of trip.

Everything is good, except the service which seemed a bit too difficult to deal with. The receptionists and waiters are not very friendly when it comes to showing an ounce of flexibility for the customers. Please be humble and show a bit of respect when it is needed. Breakfast options need to be improved, especially when it comes to having more for vegetarians or vegans.

Excellent value for location. Room was well appointed, clean and had a nice design esthetic. We arrived late due to a flight issue and the front desk treated us like family they were waiting to arrive. Very nice welcome. Ordered late night room service (nice to see a hotel that still offers 24hour in room dining). The club sandwich was delicious. Only draw back that I could find was that there was not enough towels upon arrival for a 3 person reservation. Easy fix. Called the front desk.

One of the worst hotels ever. Dirty, incompetent staff. Room wasnt even cleaned properly during covid (used water bottle left in bathroom). Front desk completely useless and would simply blame expedia / their remote reservations team for any problems. Terrible smell in hallways. One guy needed to extend their stay because their flight got cancelled and front desk couldn’t even help him and had to have him call some other line on the spot. Absolute disgrace to the meridien chain name.

This place has everything to be a 5 star spot except for the service. I have status at Marriott and so I should be getting room upgrades if they are available. We were staying there for 5 nights checking out on a Sunday, during off season - rooms were available. At check in the guy didn't even look to see if there were any upgradable rooms available and lied to my face and said no. At first I took them for their word, but something didn't feel right, so I looked at booking into the hotel for those same nights and alas, there were TONS of upgradable rooms, this rightfully irked me. It took them more than an hour and quite a heated conversation for them to concede that they lied and give us the upgrade. I spoke to the manager a couple days later to just tell them our experience (apparently she wasn't there the night of my check-in). Instead of being gracious and apologizing or just acknowledging the inconvenience she doubled down on their lie. For context, our whole trip (5 nights) I didn't see a single person on our floor, heck, I barely saw people in the elevator or the lobbies, this hotel was not booked it was mostly empty. What's the point of having loyalty to a brand if the brand doesn't recognize your status or treat you with appreciation for your loyalty? Outside of that horrible experience, our room was gorgeous and the hotel itself is very nice. This would have been a 1 star review if not for the hotel itself.

Service at this hotel is fantastic. The people here are very accommodating and very nice. Armando Lopez at the front super helpful. He is very kind, polite, and always available to provide assistance. He always greets us with a smile!

I say poor because the front desk never answered the phone! You would get a Leda, very rude all the time. My husbands back is bad and the bed is hard as a rock. They did nothing to help. Rooms are gray and depressing. We left with sore backs, beware. Never again. There are so many hotels in Mexico City, avoid this hard bed, non answering hell. We never could get assistance! Shocking that it is a Mariott brand and we are gold. No benefit.

There are several reasons for a 3 stars review for this location however I will start with what is best about this hotel, The Hotel is in the great location Location wise 5 stars. Guest services 1 star front desk ( went to ask for some details about city tour bus the person was to busy doing something in his office PC and did not have time to help us properly was just trying to get rid of us NOT THE STANDARD OF LE MERIDIEN ) Bed comfort 3 stars mattress was caved in from one side ( had not been rotated in a while) Room 3 stars USB outlet not working some wall outlets not working properly. ( The in house refrigerator which was empty kept on making noise all night) which was very disturbing as we could not sleep. Cleanliness 4.5 stars restroom was clean, hot water in shower, Being world traveler and knowing the standard and the brand le Meriden this location has no comparison at all. ( I am sorry to say ) I paid with my American Express platinum card which automatically gives me an upgrade on rooms which I was never offered, I requested late checkout and they wanted to change me $60 and upon asking as to why they responded it is only for additional taxes, why would I want to pay double taxes for 3 hours extra. I will not add photos as there are plenty on line and on other reviews, over all the only reason if I were to book this again would be for location.

A nice and clean hotel in good location. It was easy to find food and shopping all within walking distance. It was also an easy walk to the historic center. The staff was also very helpful. Armando made great restaurant and landmark suggestions and made the trip very relaxing helping with little details.

A somewhat no frills place. Used to be an embassy suites. It looks upgraded but you can see that it had remnants of the previous place. We arrived early and got charged half a days rate extra. As a Marriott Bonvoy Gold I didn't expect that. But we arrived at 8 am and were tired from a Red eye so I didn't mind. The hotel is in a great location and seems fairly safe. There are restaurants very close by. Room service was pretty quick.

My parents stayed at this hotel. The services they received were A+ from all the staff. They were attentive, courteous, and helpful. They provided great information on tours available in the area. We were able to schedule the pick-up from the airport by the hotel. It was a very nice experience, and they would recommend it to anyone. The only thing that was an issue was the door in the bathroom was not closing right, but once they notified the staff, they got moved to another room fast. I want to give a special thank you to Victor at the hotel for being very helpful when we called to get information on activities and services. Thank you!

Skip this hotel. First, the hotel scheduled a shuttle company that whose driver was unsafe. Second, Bedroom did not have a place to plug in a phone. That's hotel 1.01 Third, the restaurant is terrible. Three strikes and you're out.

Really outdated hotel and horrible hospitality. 2 examples: 1) zipper on bag ripped, asked (what I think is a reasonable question) the concierge if they know any businesses nearby who can fix a bag. I got just a strong “nope”. A simple google search would find like 10 bag repair shops in the area. 2) they will be real sticklers about allocating you two tiny little bottles of water. You’ll be charged for anything further. Honestly I usually love marriot bonvoy but this hotel is just a big disappointment on every single level.

Stayed at the hotel on March 8, 23 (international woman’s day). Due to the parade at downtown Mexico City, almost all stores put barricade on their store front to protect themselves. My colleague and I had to go on the side door through service elevator, pass through hotel office to get to check-in counter. It was quite interesting walk. Hotel felt a little bit of wear and tear (meaning needs small maintenance/renovations). Customer service was nice. No M-club or club lounge, a bit disappointed.

The hotel is awesome, very clean, large rooms, and every single person that works here are fantastic. Right down the street there are tons of street vendors for food and trinkets, a grocery a block down, and a cool stone architecture you can take an elevator up to the top of to see the whole city.

This hotel definitely exceeded my expectations. The staff was highly professional and politely behaved. I want to thank Mr. Ernesto Cruz for his excellent customer service at the restaurant located inside Le Meridien at the Mexico City.

Do not stay here. Photos online are misleading, as there is no view due to the facade colors covering the windows. Service is horrible. My room wasn’t cleaned and when I asked them they said “the hotel is too full”. Basic services such as hairdryer or body wash were missing. Anything I asked for took several reminders before it was delivered. Cocktails at the bar awful. My partner had a mocktail and the bartender read the ingredients off the menu and served something that would have been tastier if out of a box. A supervisor said he’d offer me drinks, but then didn’t. Some lady called Leidy claims to be the “manager” but doesn’t reply to emails or concerns. This is not a hotel, it’s a hostel. Stay away.

Had an excellent stay here. The rooms are large and clean, the hotel is in a safe and quiet location, but is walking distance to Centro, Zona Rosa, Roma Nortel, etc. Will definitely stay again when I return to Mexico City.

Clean, quiet, great location. Team is attentive and accommodating. Hotel restaurant and bar are very good (24-hr room service) and there is a Starbucks right next door. 5/5 would return and recommend.

Stayed here 4 nights while on a business trip. My room on the 8th floor was large- 2 queens and still plenty of floor and closet space in the bedroom, a separate seating area with couches/chairs, a mini kitchen counter with faucet, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and a decent size bathroom. However the furnishings in the room are average at best- aged furniture and carpet. The tub requires you to take a giant step over the side - not good for short people or old people!! Slip hazard getting in and out of the tub. Everything was clean though, so that's good. Apparently this hotel has plumbing issues. My coworker's reservation was cancelled last minute (no reason provided to her, but other guests were talking about a floor that got flooded). The toilet in my room randomly made noise like a train - I'm assuming this is when someone else on another floor flushed their toilet. In the 2 hours before I checked out, the water completely stopped working in my room. Not even a trickle- it was completely shut off. I mentioned this to the front desk and they acknowledged they have plumbing issues and are working on it. Didn't have much free time to explore the area other than one dinner out. I did have a good experience at the hotel restaurant, La Gloriosa.

Too old hotel, no atmosphere, no lobby, room’s AC and fridge are too noisy, even it doesn’t cool the room, breakfast is too weak, even there is no black tea! So boring hotel. I am very disappointed!

The hotel is in a nice area (Reforma) and great shape with modern and clean rooms. The staff was friendly and helpful at all times. Also I experienced a great Bonvoy status recognition with a suite upgrade and late checkout proactively offered. Would stay again here any time.

Beautiful. Centrally located. The front desk folks are very helpful and they speak English. Nothing negative to comment. If you are an Indian, there are no Indian food Menu, it's only Mexican and Italian. Enjoying my stay !!!

We had a very nice 1 bedroom suite, lots of space, large bed, nice bathroom. Takes a bit of time for water to get warm in the shower and pressure is low (at least on the 5th floor), pillows could be more comfortable.

This place gets a no from me. Principally, it's because we were awoken at 7A to smoke filling the room. I went out to the living area and proceeded to have a panic attack because I couldn't breathe. For the record, the hallways were much better. I rushed downstairs and stayed outside until the front desk could send someone up to do something to make it better. Definitely not a relaxing experience. Now, the hotel would say, we left a piece of paper on the check-in counter for you explaining this would happen. Yes, you did, but this is unacceptable all the same. Some folks will have asthma or other breathing issues and this could be potentially very serious for them to deal with. I happened to have a cold. Giving notice on check-in isn't enough notice. In addition, most of the lights were that bright white light I hate because it reminds me of hospitals. Plus, certain window areas were filled with dust. Ick. Just not a good hotel experience. The staff were friendly, the room was clean, the room service prompt, and the breakfast downstairs was fine so two stars.

  • 1/5 Michael C. 4 months ago on Google
Not so enjoyable. All the windows are milky glass so it’s possible to see outside. The services generally is very bad and reception doesn’t really know what’s going on. The rooms are large, but very outdated. Had to move out couple days early because this LM was so bad.

Hands down best customer service I have received at a Marriott. Karla, Ivan, & Victor (more people but I interacted most with them) door man, bell hop, restaurant staff, etc). My flights were severely delayed but they were able to get my wife and kids checked in prior to me getting there. Very prompt with request. Great room with a great view (for the city view and had a lovely view from the 11th floor). Came into town for a family trip my party and 2 other family members. Hotel is close to a lot of restaurants, both brick and mortar and street vendors. Lots of shopping, low cost Uber rides to where ever I wanted to go! Room was clean, pool and gym were well maintained. AC kept the room as cold as I wanted it to be! Only issue was room key working the elevator and not the room door. No big issue I always say never trust technology. I had a mobile key so never was an issue for anyone in the room. I would highly recommend this place!

Acceptable hotel for tourism or business in CDMX. The location is the main strength. Service is acceptable but, as with all Meridien in Mexico, it is severely understaffed. Breakfast is not at an acceptable level. Warm food is always cold, buffet runs often out of items and no one checks it. Just one waiter for the whole room, although a fabulous one, just isn’t enough. Yes there was another one, but he must have had a “why did I come to work” type of day because he was rather unwilling to pick up speed in the service and show some positive attitude. Twice we ordered chilaquiles with chicken and got them thirty minutes later with eggs, and no it’s not a language issue because we have Spanish as mother tongue. Sincerely, we won’t be back, the Marriot Refoma two blocks down is far superior

This property fell below expectations. The room, elevator, hall ways and lobby all need a significant modernization and/or maintenance. When I first checked in, our showerhead did not work properly (shooting water with poor pressure) and had to be replaced the next day. The bathroom in the lobby does not flush properly. The swimming pool in the basement has significant damages (missing) in the tiles that need replacement.

Reliable hotel with good staff and well maintained rooms in a good location. The rooms feel a little bit dated but were clean and could benefit from more plug sockets and some artwork on the walls. We particularly enjoyed the MALIN+GOETZ toiletries in the bathroom.

  • 4/5 Brian M. 1 year ago on Google
Great location, along Reforma Main Street with lots of accessible food places. With Bonvoy status you can get upgraded and get complimentary breakfast during your stay - we got ours and must we say a good hearty breakfast. The room is comfortable but the gym is rather small and the pool is located in the basement area (weird, much) overall great place to stay while in Mexico City.

Very welcoming staff. Clean rooms. The bellman can assist you with anything you need from setting up a car for a tour or great hidden restaurants in the area

It’s fine. Comfortable. But I’m guessing for the price you expect “something else”, it feels like it’s missing “that something”. I can’t describe it exactly. Really nice staff though.

  • 5/5 Thomas S. 2 years ago on Google
Highly recommended, everyone tried to do their best during our stay and staff was always very helpful. Also recommend the tours offered by the hotel - we had a fantastic day with Sami. Special shoutout to Victor at the front desk and Armando L at the door - your help is much appreciated. :)

Very pleased. Speaking with regards to a upper floor King room it is a suite, there's a separate living room that they oddly don't show in the pictures but do mention in the description. Good water pressure, little noise, mini fridge, comfortable bed, good location. Only criticism is the shower head is a little low, if you're over my 5'10" it'll be awkward. Great value definately would recommend

Great hotel. Location is great, with the trendy Roma neighborhood surrounding it. Staff was helpful. We had a mishap at the pool with a staff member saying only four people in the entire pool room at a time that ended in us leaving right after getting in, but we called later and a different staff member said it was a mistake. Overall nice hotel and comfortable rooms

The staff here are so, so amazing. They kindly helped us store our luggage after checkout, and took good care of my medicine that required refrigeration. We enjoyed our stay in the wonderful, spacious room

This all-suites hotel is in such a lovely spot in the city. It’s modern, clean, fresh and has a local Starbucks on site as well as great breakfast options both within and around the hotel. The General Manager, Christina, helped make sure my stay was welcoming with not only an upgrade, but also a lovely welcome dish that was so tasty. I’ll definitely consider staying here next time I’m in town.

  • 1/5 Joanna L. 2 years ago on Google
Front desk was so poor. Just saw another review where the customer lied and said there were upgradeable rooms but didn't give him one. They do lie! Girl manager did the same thing to me and my husband. Quiet lobby, no one in the halls...over priced. Sterile environment and the front desk.is arrogant and RUDE! Total waste of money. They need a real manager.

  • 4/5 HECTOR O. 2 years ago on Google
Overall the experience great. 9/10 The staff was very polite and knowledgeable. Very serviceable. The location of the hotel is excellent. Lots of tourism areas nearby, a short uber away. The lobby was great The scent choice for the hotel was great too Only downside is that the rooms feel a bit outdated and doesn’t really match the rest of the hotel.

Make sure to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a place. They compare hundreds of hotel sites and normally will have rates a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later! This place is the best rated in this area. I've been staying here for a long time. If you stay for a few days you definitely won't be disappointed. Our room was clean. The room included a mini fridge, sink, and microwave (check pics). Staff was friendly and accommodating. It was also very quiet. Central location. 👍🏽

Location is convenient, but rooms are antiquated and in desperate need of renovation. Stayed in the suites here a few times during the last 9 months. Part of the Marriott group, but no Titanium upgrades were offered on any visit. Every suite had plumbing problems each time, the HVAC system did not smell hygienic and the beds were the most unsupportive, back pain inducing units I've ever experienced at any hotel. This was also voiced by the other business travelers in our group.

Location : accessible by all kind of transportation. Walking distance to some touristic spots. Hotel with view of The Reforma avenue. Room : #1204 (8-11 February 2019) modern style of the room with separated living hall. Spacious and clean. Beds are comfortable but quite small for a family of 4 adults. Facilities : hotel is well equipped with a gym, indoor swimming pool with jacuzzi. Received complementary drinks as Platinum member. We didn’t see any Platinum lounge. Maybe the hotel do not have the lounge. Personnels : from the entrance, the concierge greeted and assisted us with the luggages. The front office team managed to do the check in as quick as possible as we arrived quite late at the hotel due to the flight delayed. Overall they are helpful! Anyway we are coming back to stay here after our Cancun trip.

A very pleasant 2 night stay - the room was huge and offered ample space to relax. A short walk to Centro and other neighbourhoods of note. We found the staff to be very welcoming. Handy having a Starbucks downstairs.

Bathtub drain in first room didn’t go down so I could not take a bath. Telephone in hall did not work. It was not clear how to reach reception or operator from telephone in the room. The staff were friendly and helpful but the Hotel was not up to Bonvoy standards

There's a little dust in the room. And the amenities do not include two bars of soap. Also there's dust in the closed cabinet where I put my clothes so there's a little dust when someone wasn't careful about cleaning. There's some slight holes in the carpet I like the layout of the room I like the fact that there's a microwave in the room I like the fact that there's a refrigerator in the room staff is very professional room is not more worth more than 85 US dollars a night and pool is very small with no natural light. Would I stay here again? For $85 or less only.

Fantastic hotel. Spotlessly clean, consistently fast wifi, comfortable bed, lovely staff, and nice (small) gym. The location is excellent - you’re in the best area just at the north of Roma Norte (the gentrified cafe-filled neighbourhood). It’s also around 1km walk into the old town and 2.5km to the stunning Chapultepec Park (which makes for a perfect morning run!) Bottled water was provided every day, as well as a proper filter coffee machine and high quality coffee! The room also had a mini fridge and microwave. They have a restaurant with a breakfast buffet which was a little pricey (around $18USD) but they do an a la cart breakfast menu which was delightful (good omelettes for around $6-8). There is also a Starbucks downstairs.

This hotel was okay for one night during our stopover on the way to Europe. No upgrades available. There was a protest that made leaving difficult. Otherwise the location is nice and easy to walk around. Very dry itchy towels though for some reason.

  • 5/5 Daniel R. R. 2 years ago on Google
Really great hotel with a vintage vibe. Room was big with a living room separate from main bedroom. The basement pool was the best as it was heated and it had a hot tub available. I liked the pool reservation system as it allows to avoid crowding it. Staff was attentive. I would definitely come back. I would only remove the carpet from the room as it looks old.

  • 5/5 Marci H. 1 year ago on Google
Central location in historical center. Quiet, clean comfortable beds, friendly, very helpful staff even when super busy. Roman in the restaurant was delightful to converse with. My husband really enjoyed seeing him every day and trying out his Spanish with Roman. Breakfasts were quite good: lots of fresh fruit each day and made to order eggs and hash browns if you preferred that over their buffet eggs and meats. My son enjoyed the atole and I liked that they had decaf and almond milk (and soy Mila when they ran out of almond milk) because I’m lactose intolerant.
