Great area to spend a day, very beautiful, plenty of shops and restaurants right off the edge of the plaza. Great views and just an all around fun place with a great vibe. Always safe and well policed. I have visited this plaza numerous times over the years (and the pictures are from all different trips) This year I was here for "El Grito" in celebration of 16th de septiembre (Mexican Independence day) and had a great time- lots of food, great historical importance, and an awesome firework display. There were roughly 10k people but still very safe and calm a great family atmosphere.

Beautiful park with a unique neighborhood feel. I felt as if I had left Mexico City on a day trip. The streets and houses surrounding the park are immaculate and picturesque.

Historical and beautiful one of the most beautiful and importance, the bohemian culture is very noticeable and in addition you can buy traditional Mexican souvenirs even though if you are foreign is a must

Plaza Hidalgo is the beating heart of the colonial Coyoacan District. Located at the confluence of Avenue of Miguel Hidalgo, Higuera street and Avenue of Francisco Sosa it is a lively center of this formerly independent town. The plaza itself is filled with trees and has the appearance of a park, it is lined on all sides with historic buildings the most important of which are the Casa de Hernan Cortez, which is now a museum, and the baroque church of San Juan Bautista. There are restaurants and cantinas located in the colorful buildings all around the plaza, there is also a historic gazebo called "The Kiosk of Coyoacan". This is a lively place that stays full of people into the night, especially during the weekends. Highly recommended.

It has always been a great place to relax, due to covid it was closed to avoid crowds then reopened but lots of people were gathering and making it a risk of contagion.

The park is lovely and well put together, you could spend hours there and see several types of gardens. They have a giant bee hive and the bee keeper gave us a great overview of caring for them. We went to the bigger restaurant, which was tasty! The reason I gave 4 stars was because the entrance fee is high which I think keeps people from going as it doesn't seem well attended.

This public park offers a wide variety of fast food options, restaurants, souvenir stores, and Mexican candies. It's a great place to take a leisurely stroll, admire the local architecture, and explore the museums.

This is a beautiful city with lots of rich history. The city still maintains a lot of colonial traditions in the feel and views. The streets are still made of stone and the city very clean. The food was amazing and you have to make sure you try the delicious churros.

My favourite place in CDMX, but... this time it was tooooo crowded, noisy and unsafe due to the people without masks. I had to left the plaza without enjoying it at all. Only Coyotes fountain never fails :-). Visit Coyoacán on workday before noon, if possible. You will be mesmerized by its colours, art and beauty.

Hidalgo Coyoacan Graden/square is exceptionally memorable experience. There are so many activities, even a whole day is not enough. Local artists exhibits their art, paintings, sculptures and much more at a reasonable price. There are dozens of local cuisine places to enjoy with family and friends. Youngsters enjoy skates, while being respectful to folks who are just leisurely strolling or sitting on side benches. Sunny weather is always a plus if you are taking break from low temperatures on the east coast of the USA. Enjoy authentic food, culture and friendly atmosphere here.

A really nice area to go take a walk, grab some food, or a drink during the night. There's also tours that would take you around the area and show you iconic places of the area of Coyoacan and also narrate myths and legends from Mexico.

Full of life with kids playing and street vendors trying to show you what they have to offer. It really gives you that Spanish square feel. Restaurants line up the adjacent streets and police patrol frequently keeping tourists and locals safe.

You can feel history right here. It's like transporting yourself to another time, with all the big houses with ancient facades. Also you can find a wide range of food, from a nice restaurant to a street cart. Live music and performers guaranteed.
