I was able to watch a new English movie here (Crimes of the Future). It was in the original English audio with Spanish subtitles. Great experience as a foreign visitor. Safety: 5/5 I went to a 6:45pm showing since I was worried about walking back to my room in the dark. I worried for nothing. After the movie ended around 8pm, it was indeed dark but there was so much tourist activity and security presence, it didn't matter. There are lots of cars driving down the main roads deep into the night so it feels safe. Other people are watching movies too, so you have safety in public crowds. Price: 5/5 My ticket cost 60 pesos (3USD) for 1 adult. Availability: 5/5 Buy tickets ahead of time online for good seats. I got mine the night before and the whole middle section was booked except for a few single seats. Tip: the email confirmation gives you a QR code. As long as you have that, you can enter. Ignore the other instructions about messing with alphanumeric codes etc. Atmosphere: 5/5 There is a wonderful open park area once you enter off the street. Lots of couples hang out and relax. Saw some picnics too. From there, you turn right and enter a little area with shops, restaurants, and typical therater snacks. From this area, each of showing rooms (salas) are connected.

This is such an amazing venue. Possibly the best cinema I’ve visited anywhere period. Besides the actual cinema, there are several different plaza areas with various shops, cafes, etc. As illustrated by photos, the actual architectural design is also stellar. My only critical note is that it can be a bit hard to find. I had initially walked past twice. From the street, you have to first walk through a parking structure and without any significant signage to speak of.

Definitely Cineteca is one of the places i enjoy mostly in CDMX. I just love the diversity of art films, and besides the open area for movies is a dope! for the open space Highly recommended to take and extra blanket with you 'cause the nights are chilly here. Don't hesitate to come here!

Excellent movie theaters. Now we visited one with an excellent French movie from 1947 that you could not see anywhere else. Very good film. The premises were very good and.clean. nice tables outside to have a refreshment and some cafe shops. The atmosphere is nice. Students and young people were very happy. I was surprised to see so many people fill the theater for this movie, that by the way was very nice. Parking was a little difficult in the street, but you can go to the Cineteca parking building, just look for it in Google and you'll arrive in no time.

Perhaps one of the worlds most beautiful national film archive and screening center! A fabulous architectural structure houses about 10 large screening halls, restaurants, cafes, bookstores, merchandise shops, etc. Refurbished in 2023 its impeccable and digitally advanced, with interactive kiosks to buy tickets, etc. Its 10 theaters screen a well cured selection of national and international, mostly independent movies.

Its been four years since my last visit, just around my 70th birthday celebrating with my sons. I arrived a bit late but there is always something available in English or subtitles. Some spots to relax and eat too. Don’t miss this environment if you love cinema.

Very good exterior design. Going to the cinema is very cheap and you can see all types of movies. Overall, the location is great and its worth visiting for a while to also have time to visit the gift shops which have great stuff. The only con, is that the cinema rooms themselves are not as well designed as the exterior and food/beverages are not too cheap.

Beautiful, chill, quality movie place with bars, shops, restaurants, always some great movies from all over the world, not your hollywood outlet though, highly recommended to spent your day here, with roof top bars after you've seen your movie of choice

The place is not too big. Screens are not to big neither, but the price is well and it's a nice place, also they have old movies of reference and newest which are good. Also, there's a mall so close

Great cinema and cool place to hang around. Cafes, bistros, public clean toilets, and a garden where you can enjoy a small picnic. 10 screens projecting a variety of blockbusters, indie films, and foreign films, both old (eg Citizen Kane) and new (eg Druk when it was first released)

A place you MUST visit when in Mexico City. The safest option for going out. Enjoy high-quality cinema and pay a visit to the shops and restaurants in it.

Beautiful movie complex that shows movies of high quality. The seats are comfortable and the projection system does a good job. There are also many food options of you want to eat before or after your film.

Excellent venue to enjoy local and international cinema. Even worth to only visit the beautiful structure and café shops. Prices for movies are really accesible or at least lower than mpvie theaters.

It always has been a place where you can enjoy cinema of quality with an affordable price. However, the last two visits have been a deception... an Italian movie "Bad neighbors" and a Mexican one called something about "whales" both where trash, the Mexican one was one of the worst movies I've ever seen in my entire life. They should improve their selection.

One of my favorite places to visit in the city. Even if you're not there to watch a movie, there are coffee shop, restaurants, and park-like areas to hang out. Really lovely and the architecture it's amazing

The best cinema complex in the entire country, with not only a fantastic and extremely well mixed selection of national and international films—with some commercial ones from time to time—but also cool and informative temporary exhibitions, truly affordable prices for everyone, good facilities (even if some of the seats from screens 2 and 3 have seen better days) and a relaxing vibe all around for either lounging in the gardens or at any of the restaurants or cafeterias which range from reasonably price to slightly more expensive depending on your wallet. Of these, I particularly recommend Café 8 1/2—with its Monday-to-Friday menu—and Señorito—the Saratoga club sandwich never disappoints. Add its affordable car park fee and the fact that you can spend an entire day here either alone or with company, and you’ve got yourself one of the truly cultural landmarks of Mexico City.

If you want to feel the true local Coyoacan lifestyle, dont miss the opportunity to have a churro and a pint at this amazing cinema. Either if you decide to go for a movie, or just lay in its gardens (or why not? Both) its an awesome chillax place in busy Mexico City.

One of the most amazing cinemas I have ever been. All films are in original language with Spanish subtitles.

I met this place a couple month ago and to be very honest, I was in shock. The first thing I loved since the very beginning was its architecture, the place is gorgeous from every angle. Secondly, what I also liked was that it's not only a place were you can watch art movies that aren't available in a commercial place, but also that you have anything you need to spend a whole afternoon at that place. You have cafés, restaurants and more. And the last thing that I loved is that you have access to more than 8,000 free movies at the "videoteca" where you can sit in front of an individual screen and enjoy that big collection of free movies. If you like movies, definitely this a place you need to go.

Mexico's Cineteca Nacional has undergone major renovations that bring it to a world-class venue of it's kind. Comfortable seating. Excellent digital image & sound. Multi-level parking garage, all at incredibly accessible prices.

Wow! A world-class film archive and cineteca, a beautiful campus with restaurants and cafes and bookstore. Also, I see they offer online classes in film history that look quite good.
