We loved this restaurant sooooo much that we went twice in a row. It is the best Peruvian food I ever had. The portions are huge, the price is right and it is absolutely delicious! Every single dish we ordered!!

What a great experience! The food was indescribable! Fresh & flavourful! The rice was just out of this world! The service was great too! Get yourself a glass of sangria too - totally worth it. Absolutely recommended!

Our Airbnb hosts suggested that this is their favorite restaurant in Miami Beach. Oh man did they live up to the hype. Our waitress is so friendly and patient. There are so many choices. Ceviche is amazing. The seafood dish was absolutely delicious. The portion is very big! I would definitely go back next time I visit Miami

Wow, one of the most delicious places I have ever eaten at. The three color Ceviche might be my most favorite food of all time. Excellent service and the quality of the food is amazing. I visited this restaurant multiple times in one visit because the food was so amazing. Highly recommend.

I very much enjoyed the food here. 👌🏼 It was my first time trying Peruvian food. I ordered the beef stew with white rice and a side of French fries. They also gave me some authentic hot sauce on the side. The service was alright. However I did feel that the hostess was a little unwelcoming; only with tourists/foreigners. She was offended when someone asked for some Cholula hot sauce and annoyedly said this was a Peruvian restaurant, not Mexican. 😂 But despite of her attitude, I really liked the food. The beef stew was well-cooked and I highly recommend trying that dish.

Fresh, clean, delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere! Lively background that was not too loud or intrusive. Our server, Merly, was amazing and helpful and friendly! She really knows the menu and was delightful. She also helped us choose menu items that were gluten and dairy free for an allergy. Davey also provided friendly and attentive service! We recommend the traditional cerviche, house salad, and the grilled beef with mashed white beans (I forget what this is called but it was delicious!). Oh, the sangria was also a great addition to our meal!!

Summary : If you want the right price for the right seafood, along with good ol' home cooked meal, this is the place. TLDR; May 2023 I have always missed a heart warmingly good sea food, as Korean. Living in Texas, good and safe seafood is always.....a luxury of a sort. Visiting Florida, my dire need to suffice my thirst for Ocean's embrace shivered. My tongue and the brain, their screams to rejuvenate their oceanic grace, made me wandering to this Peruvian Restaurant, Chalan the Beach. Reasons I would whole heartdly bring this place to your attention are: (Dr. Strange's first trip to multi verse would be a good visualization, but its in the sea.) 1. The fair price for more than fair food. (Just... ground breaking) Not many things ask for the rightfully deserved price these days; but this place offers it. Whatever you think to or actually pay, you will not even look at the check in the end. You will surrender not only your card, but a hefty tip as well, voluntarily, to "match" the price you think it deserves. I come from Dallas Texas. Fresh seafood is a luxury. And I will come back here to keep my memory bank fresh. 2. Great service, great atmosphere. Ms Gloria did wonders for us. She was not a server, but a guiding narrator for the deep ocean dive. She must have written the "Hitchhiking Guide to the Ocean" Chalan on the Beach is a perfect spot to end the day, quenching not only the thirst from walking under hot sun, but also satisfying the devouring hunger. Their Sangria plays Starbursts your tongue and fills top of the nose with fruity dry ice show, just to "Rock" your stomach with what's to come next, the main entres. Go with rice, if you want to feel every single rice piece playing carimbo, all body painted with concentrated seafood gravie, popping on top of your tongue with lightly crusted bottom. Too much fun. Go with noodles, but spicy. That hot and spice will kick in the full flavors of seafoods to your jaws like a freaking mule, right in the spot. Parking would be a problem, but I would park bit far next time, and waltz my way down to Chalan to remind my last visit to get watery mouth. I would say Chalan should be the first visit for the first timers to set the "Standard" of what proper seafood served should be from any next visit, but will make you come back. Because nothing beats the warmth of home cooking. Thank you Chalan.

I was recommended Chalan on the Beach multiple times from locals. When it kept coming up as a place to go, I had to try it. I am so glad I did! Otherwise, I would have missed out on some of the best ceviche I have ever had. Seriously! I will be a regular here any time I come back to Miami Beach. Oh, I also had the cilantro beef stew here which was also quite delicious. I am pretty sure you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. I love their slogan, “Where Cooking is Still an Art” and you can tell they truly believe that.

I had the pleasure of dining at this Peruvian restaurant, and I must say it was an absolute delight. I was greeted with warm and friendly staff who were eager to share their rich culinary heritage. The menu was a true reflection of the diverse flavors and ingredients that Peruvian cuisine has to offer. The food itself was a revelation. Each dish was meticulously prepared. This is the place to must try seafood. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking an authentic and unforgettable Peruvian culinary journey.

Good option for a peruvian meal in the area. The food was great, the staff friendly, well located. The place is not fancy but you’ll eat a great meal. The price is also right and the menu has a lot of options.

My wife and I had never tried Peruvian food. We enjoyed it. My loves soups and the soup she had was flavorful and spicy. The food I had was good, although the meat was a bit overcooked. There were 3 tables that arrived after us that got their food before us. The guy next to us must have been a regular because as soon as he showed up, they took his order and delivered his food promptly. He finished eating before we even got our food. Our server was friendly and attentive. The overall atmosphere was good. We ordered Peruvian beer and it was good.

Good restaurant for Peruvian food by the beach. Service was friendly if nothing too special. Ceviche was not as fresh as some other places I’ve tried but still good. The seafood stew could be more flavorful. The mixed seafood plate was the highlight for me, and a good deal!

Omg! The food tasted even better than Yucca across the street! Portion sizes were huge, I had the three flavor fish civiche, because I'm partial to both red and yellow pepper sauces. Phenomenal! The set up, food, and service were great. Highly recommend!

Authentic Peruvian food, great flavors and generous portions. We loved the "jalea" and the "choros a la Chalaca"

Authentic Peruvian cuisine in Miami beach. We ordered steak and shrimp dinners and were not disappointed; it was absolute delicious and we were impressed! Highly recommended.

If you looking for home cooked food, this is one of few places in south beach. Authentic flavors, great service. You get ur money’s worth. You can tell from the crowd who eat here that’s it the real deal. Compared to everything touristy in the neighborhood. Try the lomo saltado.

I went there twice. Mostly for spicy seafood. Food was great but not spicy. But they gave spicy sauce (green) which was awesome. Service was great. Definitely going again.

We ordered Chicharrón de Calamar, Lomo Saltado and Tallarines verdes con Bistec, it was really good but maybe we expected more, the portions were fair enough. Restaurant location was perfect!

Went here in hopes of some real food that’s actually healthy but no luck. The food is ok. The service is good. The atmosphere is just ok. We ordered the whole snapper and a seafood fried rice dish. Also ordered a salad that was completely iceberg lettuce. None of the food served to be fresh and they had no sauces to help make up for the lack of flavor. I was disappointed.

Don't judge a book by it's cover applies to this restaurant. Very unassuming from the outside but excellent Peruvian food inside. Loved the cerviche and fried rice so much that we came back the next day to try different foods on the menu.

I walked over 1h to get there but it was worth it. Excellent food and service. The only thing that was not perfect was the ceiling light mixed with a fan, causing constant flickering in my eyes. It only affects you in some places in the restaurant but it can be very annoying when the fan is running fast. For owners: Consider wall lights instead of ceiling lights with these fans.

I ate here 8yrs ago. This time I brought my family back and they were also impressed. Great ppl, good food and the portion sizes are the best.

Good Flavor on the Lomo Saltado with nice caramelized onions and meat well cooked. The Green Salsa they have pairs well, with good spice. 🌶 Also, different flavor taste on their local Peru 🇵🇪 beer. Ladies on top of things for great service. 👌

This is my first time eating Peruvian food. The food was amazing and the price was fair. I didn't know Peruvian cooking has a similar style like Chinese food. I ordered seafood fried rice, and I thought I was at a Chinese restaurant. I ended up eating there twice for my week of vacation. I will go back again.

The food there is very good and delicious but there is a problem: for an average eater the potions are way to big. We tried to share the Ceviche (2 persons) but that was almost a main dish for both of us. The personal seamed to know that their portions are very big but did not inform us on the fact. Don’t geht me wrong everything was delicious- but I hate it if I have to send food back just because the portions are ginormous. I advise to study the fotos here and decide based on that :)

Whenever I'm in Miami Beach this is where I treat myself to a good seafood dish. I go out of my way to eat delicious Peruvian food here. It's a little mom and pop restaurant and the food speaks for itself. Highly recommend the Seafood Chaufla.

Good service and good food. This restaurant is located near the busy tourist areas. The ceviche was alright, we ordered a trio and it was a good appetizer. However, the lomo saltado was really the star of the night. The fried whole snapper was good but it was fried a bit too much so the fish ended up being pretty dry and tasteless - it definitely needed something. Overall, the service was quick and friendly and the food was alright, but it’s what I would expect for this area.
