I had an overnight stay while flying back from Barcelona a few years ago and stayed here. It feels like a former apartment building converted to a hotel. No frills, affordable, not the quietest place I've ever stayed, but given those drawbacks, I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Walk out the front door and right into the ocean. Absolutely worth the price, I look fondly back on my time there and hope to return someday for a longer visit. If possible, book a top floor room. It's acceptable on the lower floors, but I'd imagine this place is perfect if you're on the top floor.

Please note that this hotel is not recommended for individuals with allergies. While it is located close to the beach and the rooms are spacious with small amenities such as cutlery, a coffee machine, a toaster, dishes, and a pan, there are several negatives to consider. The building is old and poorly maintained, with no parking available in the hotel area. Guests must use a public parking lot and pay USD 1 per hour. Additionally, the pool was closed for the entire week of our stay, which was extremely frustrating. The rooms have old carpets that are in dire need of cleaning, and they emit a bad odour. The windows are blocked and cannot be opened, which can lead to serious respiratory problems due to the lack of fresh air circulating in the old room with carpet. The hotel must prioritize room maintenance to improve the quality of guests' stays.

Donā€™t do it! Run away. Not only do you paid $300 for two nights but when you go to check in there are $300 worth of hidden fees. $600 to stay in a run down hotel for 2 days with NO parking.I had to pay $20 a day to park my car 2 blocks away. Always wondering if it was getting vandalized. My TV in my room doesnā€™t work. Walls are paper thin you can hear when the whole hotel wakes up. This hotel is on some random side street. Yeah itā€™s ā€œoceanfrontā€ which means you wake down the street and you can see the ocean. Thatā€™s about it. If you want a hotel to drain all your vacation savings before you even explore Miami, this is the stop for you!

WARNING! BE AWARE! Please do not book here the rooms are not only dated but smell horrible from Marijuana and if you sit on the couch the fleas will eat you up. Donā€™t lift the mattress as when we did not only is their filth but you will see bugs. The outside of hotel is in shady area with no parking on site.

We stayed here on a whim and it was ok. For a cheaper place in Miami you really can't beat it. Ocean front, right on Collins Ave. The walls are a but thin so be prepared to hear your neighbors kids at 5am. The rooms are pretty nice, the kitchen is a great feature. Bed was comfortable and everything was clean. Overall pretty happy about our choice if you want to stay in north beach.

I was a little hesitant to stay at this hotel with some of the reviews I read prior to booking. However it was close to the attraction I wanted to visit for a concert. I rolled the dice and took my chances. I had a fantastic experience. Claudia at the front desk was warm , friendly and had a great attitude! The room was clean and parking wasnā€™t a hassle at all. Thank you for your hospitality! Shannon

This place gives shady vibes and the rooms are run down. Thereā€™s a musty smell, the floors are paper thin, and it just didnā€™t feel the safest or very clean at all. Itā€™s also strange that the gym (which seems to be open to non-hotel guests) is facing the pool. It was uncomfortable as the only thing separating the pool and the gym is a glass wall. After reading other negative reviews Iā€™m confident this place wonā€™t improve as whoever responds to these reviews pushes ā€œbest value for locationā€ instead of taking the feedback and improving. I recommend paying a little extra and staying somewhere safe and clean.

No parking. Old structure but you can tell its being taken care of. Staff was polite and helpful. Kitchenette was well stocked and clean. Bathroom is old but comfortable. Living room ample. New TVs. Nice pool and access to the beach, gym. Tours available. Well centered and accessible to everything. Id go back and recommend it.

Please read my review and take this advice do not stay here. Upon arrival you will feel things are not right by people screaming cussing at each other then no parking once u go into room u will become overtaken by smell and room not clean. Donā€™t lift the mattress u will see the filth and then the bugs. Kids got attacked by fleas on couch. The view is nothing at all besides a new building being built. I promise you Crystal beach is not the place to stay.

The beach is within steps of the hotel. the customer service is exceptional. While there the A/C went out in my sister's room they sent maintenance and once they realized it was a n issue that couldn't be resolved right away they immediately gave her a new room of her choice. You couldn't ask for better service. They went above and beyond to help us. I truly enjoyed my stay Cons: it is quite noisy at times and the smell of weed was enormous from other people in the hotel rooms smoking.

Service was great, butā€¦ TV didnā€™t work. Place smelled horrible. Over priced. Location is accommodating, but absolutely no parking. You have to find parking on the street. Deposit is over 200$!! Which is crazy because other hotels only charge 50$-100$, at most! For being 20 minutes away from Miami Beach, I wish I stayed somewhere else.

This place advertises very poorly and the property manager is the worst. I booked 3 rooms for me, my wife, my mom and my two young children being told that the rooms would accommodate that exact family type. When we got there we had 3 separate rooms not even close together. Having two you children, we couldnā€™t even use the 3rd room. When I asked to cancel the 3rd room for obvious reasons, the incredibly rude property manager quickly said that was not possible and wouldnā€™t help us in any way. We ended up paying for an extra room in full for our entire stay without even going in it. The rooms themselves are also displayed online in a very false manner. They are not nice at all. The only saving grace for the place is the location. But the awful property manager completely cancels that out. Stay away.

Pros and cons to this property. Pros: the staff was friendly, the location to the beach is the best part of this place, itā€™s close to things and the bed was comfortable and we liked having a living area separate from the bedroom, especially with a baby. However the cons dampened our stay a bit. Cons: our room was not clean. The floors when we came in the first day looked like they were not vacuumed since the last guest, the bathroom looked like it was just wiped down and not actually cleaned. The bathtub/shower had mold and hair in the drain, the tub didnā€™t plug so trying to bathe a toddler was really difficult. When I booked the hotel, it advertised free parking, but getting to the hotel, thatā€™s not the case. You have to park down the street in a public parking lot that you pay $1 an hour for, not expensive but it adds up for your stay. The pool was not open our entire stay, they kept posting a note around the hotel saying it would open the next day but then each day would get pushed out to the next day, and it never opened the 4 days we were there. Checking out, they were very adamant we check out right at the top of the hour. We were loading up our things and they called minutes after the hour to tell us to leave. I donā€™t like writing negative reviews but these types of things with a family would have been nice to know. Hope itā€™s helpful for someone.

I stayed here a few years ago and had a good experience. I returned this year and was not as happy. They no longer have parking facility. I parked on the street directly across from the entrance and my car was vandalized. The hotel claimed no responsibility and showed no care at all. In addition, the dishes in the shelves were dirty. I will not return here for sure.

This hotel is nothing special and could use some updates. However, it is clean, it has great location (close to beach, shopping, and restaurants), and they have great staff! Especially, Claudio at the front desk! Definitely a value hotel!

Items of note: 1. The hotel advertisement is False on-line with picture and the assumption that it is truly oceanfront for someone like me who was visiting Miami Beach for the first time ever. You cannot see the ocean from the hotel in any room. Needless to say, we moved to the Hilton pictured below. 2. No phones in the room to call down to the desk 3. Rooms were dark and very outdated 4. I asked for 2 queen beds and my confirmation stated "Queen Suite - Double." There was one bed and a pull out sofa bed. Again, false advertising. 5. Granted it had limited parking but no way of knowing exactly how far parking was from the hotel. 6. Coffee provided was all decafe - no regular 7. This is the worst hotel I have ever booked and plan to report them to the Better Business Bureau. My booking was non-refundable.

Older hotel but remodeled. Very clean. Right on beach. Full kitchenettes. Quiet. Friendly staff. Comfy beds. No parking unless you're lucky to get one by building. Beach goers use the few spots available . No restaurant but many in short walking distance. Free wifi

First line to the beach located in North Miami Beach. Clean and comfortable suites, perfect for a couple of days getaway .Helpful and serving staff ( they told us about the parking option near to the hotel. Haven't used the swimming pool, neither the fitness but this a good option. Attractive neighborhoods with a lot of Argentinians, Cubans, and Peruvians restaurants and bakeries. Absolutely enjoyed!

Nice location on the beach in North Miami Beach. The suite is spacious (it's like a one bedroom apartment). It needs an update. The walls are not sound proof, noise from upstairs guests awoke us at night. The swimming pool is in maintenance and we were not informed about this. Extra $20 per night resort fees (ok, but not transparent when we booked on Expedia). They charge $1 per piece per hour if you want to leave your luggage after checkout (not a big deal, but a cheap tactic to collect a few bucks, especially when the room cost was >$1200 for 4 nights). They waived this unreasonable charge after a little argument with my wife. Again, not a pleasant last memory.

We have been holding events at hotel for a couple of years now. It was great until the Covid-19 Pandemic. They have good size rooms and access to the beach. They have gotten way more expensive and difficult to deal with. My experience today was this. We will be looking for a new place to go to. We live here in Miami and used to use this hotel for ourselves. Guess that's over as well.

it's well located, and it's clean, but I had trouble sleeping, I stayed there for 3 nights and the person who was on top of me woke up at 6 am to run and jump, I complained, the 3 nights and they didn't do anything to solve the problem, I was disappointed. and the pool is not heated, you can't get in, because the water is freezing. they should fix it because the Hotel is beautiful and comfortable

Decent place to stay when you canā€™t afford something better. Rooms were clean but outdated. Customer service was ok but could be better. Proximity to shops, restaurants and beach makes the stay worth it even though area is outrageously overpriced! I would recommend this place depending on your budget.

The front desk service was average. The cleaning crew was excellent always helpful. The rooms were ok except difficult the kitchen arrea and hard to find the pots because they were too high for me to find them. Quality was good. The bed the linen good. The towels were worn out and rough.

I want to stay thank you so much for the hospitality. The gentlemen at the front desk were helpful and patience. The hotel was kept nice and neat. The housekeeping did a great job. The only thing I wish they had was a lounge room area for families for rainy days. But I can completely understand that most days are beautiful out. Outside area was kept clean and so was the pool. Thank you for a great time. We will see you next year.

We loved this place..you will not be disappointed. The rooms are nice and very clean. The living room and bedroom are separate..like a an apartment. The staff was always friendly. We took the recommended bus tour and it was worth it. It super close to the beach like a 3 min walk. Also there is a Peruvian Restaurant near by Markedo31 also within walking distance that was delicious. We will book here agian.

I was very disappointed. This hotel does not have parking šŸ˜©, it's a messy outside. Then my shower was full of hair of someone else. I attached the pictures. The rooms is acceptable, and the ac is working good.

We spent 4 nights here last week and it was as expected based on reviews. We were on the ā€˜renovatedā€™ 4th floor, if thatā€™s the nice rooms Iā€™d avoid the other floors. Not being able to open the windows is strange and disappointing. From the beach the building looks a bit like a prison surrounded by condos. Itā€™s more affordable than most places in the area, itā€™s perfectly adequate. The pool was nice, the beach is amazing and not too busy. If your expectations are reasonable youā€™ll enjoy your stay here. Parking was painless compared to what I read, thereā€™s a huge lot a block away, itā€™s free overnight and like $10 for the day, just download the app and pay from your room at 8am. Not sure why there were so many complaints about parking.

  • 4/5 Jerome Fried (. 1 year ago on Google
Parking is an extra 20 per day, even if you paid for a room. They will nickle &dime you to broke. Not worth the deceptive advertised price.

  • 4/5 Marie C. 1 year ago on Google
This was overall a great place to stay. We had the most beautiful view from our room. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The staff was very helpful and friendly. It was about half an hour drive from there to most of our destinations around the city, which wasn't bad at all. It would be great if the decor was updated a bit, and parking was a bit of a pain at times. But I would still recommend staying here.

Overall, really good stay and I would definitely consider Crystal Beach again for future trips to Miami. Checking in was easy, staff was friendly, and the location next to the beach with chairs is perfect. I never used the pool or the fitness center, but they were both open and looked nice. One thing this hotel does is fresh towels and toiletries everyday, a lot of hotels have stopped doing that and do it every 2nd or 3rd day of your stay. The reason for 4 stars, and my only issues, were the room had an overall musty smell and you could not open the windows. Some of my clothes still kinda smell after two runs through the laundry. Otherwise, the room was relatively clean; there were some hairs (probably from shaving) on the sink fixtures that were in a hard to get place, so I'll give a pass there. Decor and everything is a bit dated, but that didn't bother me a bit, hardly in the room. Bed was comfy for me. Room was a little noisy from the room above my last night, but that was it. Really can't beat the price of this place given it is on the beach and has a pool, so I would definitely stay again.

This place is an embarrassment to Collins Ave. Low cleaning standards and outdated furnishings. Burnt out light bulbs. Filthy lobby furniture and pool chairs. Outdated and tiny fitness center with partially broken elliptical that is also open to the public! Mentioned standard of cleanliness to staff and they didnā€™t care. Donā€™t even consider it.

  • 3/5 A F. 1 year ago on Google
This is an older hotel so if youā€™re looking for a place with lots of amenities this isnā€™t the place for you. If being close to the beach is all you care about than this place will work for you. If you are looking for a ocean view, book straight through the hotel website so you can be sure that request is covered. AirBNB bookings will say ocean views but youā€™ll get to your suite and find that the listing was misleading and there is nothing that the hotel can do to make it right. I wasnā€™t happy with this hotel stay so taking pictures never crossed my mind.

This should be rated a zero star. We spent 150 for the night after trying to book online , called beforehand to confirm a early check-in which was approved only to then be told that they were cleaning the room for us and one would be ready in about an hour, just for us to wait 5 hours for them to say we aren't 21 although we are 20 turning 21 and have been in nicer hotels in Orlando. Mind you, the age you can be in hotels in Miami is 18 (the legal age). Beware of the older man at the front he provided the worst service I have ever seen. He had a severely bad attitude, wasted time, cut me off during speaking, had no grace, courtesy or sympathy, treated us and others of our skin tone poorly yet treated people of his and lighter fairly. We drove a very long way just to go back! Without any verbal support assistance or help from the horrible clerk at the front desk. Certainly would not recommend if you wish to actually enjoy yourself in Miami.
