Place looked nothing like the photos. Right off the bat the elevator is this small janky elevator - not too bad, we could deal with that. But as soon as you get in the hallway you’re hit with this overwhelming sweet air freshener that they spray the hotel with that is mixed with the smell of mold, not pleasant. Once you get in the room they look nothing like the photos. We paid more to upgrade to an ocean view but the room we got was facing the side street away from the ocean. When we complained about the non ocean view we were told that there was in fact an ocean view which consist of a small corner if we turned our head all the way to the right to get the smallest peak of the ocean in the corner. WORST OF ALL, there was mold in the dresser. I mean the smell was so overwhelming that we didn’t even stay the night. We checked out about two hours later and they said we would still have to pay for the night. No way we’re we going to stay with mold in the room, that’s a huge safety hazard. In all, this place is not worth the stay. Not to mention the shady neighborhood. 0/10 would not recommend

To start off the girl at the front seemed new and didn’t have a clue what she was doing. I don’t think she spoke English very well. The hallway smelled of mold. Very outdated. Sketchy individuals around outside area. Only street parking that is hard to find. The beach is great and location is excellent. That and the taco restaurant on the front of the hotel were the only great things about this hotel. Not clean. I got charged twice for the same room. Was a pain to correct. Had to contact my bank. Save your money and get something better.

My stay at this hotel was an absolute nightmare. From the moment I was directed to the neighboring building, which was dimly lit and had water leaking all over the lobby, to the bugs infesting my room and bathroom, the experience was appalling. Despite booking a king-sized bed, I was given a smaller one, and the room itself was disgustingly dirty with noticeable stains on the bedding. To add to the discomfort, there was no blanket provided. The bathroom was no better, with water dripping from the roof. This place is in dire need of improvement, if not complete demolition. I strongly advise against staying here. Oh and the elevator did not work either and had to carry the bags upstairs, terrible

stay clear of this place. We got there and the front desk lady was extremely disrespectful and short - would not answer our questions. Our reservation was to stay at the Broadmore beach front hotel like advertised. She put us in the OCEAN SIDE hotel next to it. It was disgusting, clumps of hair on the bathroom floor, the bathtub had not been cleaned, there was rust everywhere, red stains all over the walls. I didn’t know I had to have an updated tetanus shot to stay at the hotel? There was no outlets to charge your phones. Not to mention there was smoke all throughout the hallway in the NO SMOKING hotel. After expressing our concerns less than 2 hours after checking in and asking for a refund, the front desk lady (brown haired and younger) was still short and did not apologize for their disgusting hotel. The woman next to her (blonde hair and glasses) who I assumed to be the manager did not say a word and was speaking Spanish to try to hide what she was saying about us and looked disinterested in the whole thing. 15 minutes after receiving the security deposit back, they charged us for A SECOND NIGHT. Extremely disappointing if I could give this place a 0 I would.

This place is not a 3-star hotel. Go in with 2-star expectations and you won’t be disappointed. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Yes, the elevator is tiny and the slowest I’ve ever been on, but it gets the job done when needed. Stairs are always available and faster. King bed was more equivalent to a Queen, and the room was small, but it was clean. The location can’t be beat. Right across from the ocean, walking distance to so many great local eateries and cafes, a park across the street for the kids, and the free Collins Express trolley if you want to venture further up/down Miami Beach.

Good value for the price. Rooms were OK, not especially clean or well kept, lots of chipped paint and mold in the bathroom. The view from the hotel would have been excellent if not for the construction outside. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Safe location in a more quiet part of town.

The negative ratings and comments on this hotel are ignorant. I rated this high for several reasons. The new manager Jennifer is outstanding. She went above and beyond to help with a large group we had in March 2022. The grate rate! If you are looking for a hotel on the beach with some awesome little locally owned stores around the block this place is awesome. The ocean is literally across the street. Great food around the corner, and several little shops around with everything. If you are looking for the amenities and comfort of a Hilton on the beach, pay the price for the Hilton on the beach... This is a neat hotel on the beach that has your basic needs and definitely worth every penny. People need to understand that the historical society and stucco society will not let these historical hotels do any modern updates. It has to be kept as original as possible. The beds have fresh bedding, bathrooms are clean, and did I mention YOU ARE RIGHT ON THE BEACH! I can appreciate the resort fee that everyone complains about. With the towels that I am sure are lost, the sand that gets drug in and washed down the drain and through the washer and dryer, It all costs extra money to maintain and keep up with. I have stayed here the last 5 years and will do so again next year!

Worst hotel I’ve been to. The staff is pretty decent however when we arrived we were placed in the wrong room when we paid for the oceanfront king room balcony in the main building. We were placed in the next building ocean turf in the king balcony and it was nothing like we were expecting. First of all, there are no microwaves in the rooms you have to go to the main lobby‘s basement to heat up your food. The bathtubs are clogged so you’ll have dirty water on your feet while you’re showering and the smell is just horrendous. It smells very antique. The elevators don’t work either. I’ve been expecting a partial refund how ever they do not seem to care about it. If I’m being honest I would like a full refund because the hotel was a complete disappointment. The manager made me a promise the night that we booked to place us the following day in the VIP suite room for the inconvenience and she cannot hold up to the promise, false hope. Will not be going here again.

DO NOT STAY HERE. The only remotely positive thing I can say about this hotel is that it’s a stone’s throw from the beach. There’s what looks like black mold growing on the side of the building. There are NO dressers to unpack. The sink was clogged and the water spouted out as if the screen on the faucet was broken. I looked like I’d just come from a swim meet after washing my hands. The toilet looked like it belonged in a daycare, I’ve never seen anything so small. The bathroom was small and dirty. There were water stains and rust in the shower. The towels were thin and dirty; dollar store quality. The elevator didn’t work and we were told we had too many clothes; we took the stairs. The carpet looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since the 90s. The staff was rude. They refused to issue us a refund when we showed pictures of the condition of our room. We left after two hours empty handed because sleeping in the car was literally a better option. I wouldn’t send my dog here. I’ve seen better rooms at the Red Roof Inn. Save your money and your sanity. The actual beach is cleaner.

Me and my girls stayed here for a girls trip and we had a blast!! The receptionist Rosa and Richie made us feel so beyond welcome and safe. They were professional and super kind and caring. It’s definitely the best customer service we have ever received. The hotel came with a complimentary trolly, two free beach chairs, beach towels, and even some really cheap outings! Although there is some construction going on from the usual beach entrance, which they have no control over, the beach was still very easy to access and walking distance! We had such a fun and beautiful time. We really can not wait to return! Thank you Rosa and Richie for making us feel safe and welcome!

Some of staff are good, especially the blond girl she is amazing while others are not!! The hotel is really really old building (not same the pictures at all any more) that makes the elevator to take an hour to come and an hour to take u up, and for the i was placed in the seventh floor which will take so much forever (i hope the manager or someone fixes that to be loyal to customers and not waste their time waiting for it. Other thing is mosquitoes which they are all over in room floor and staff could not do a thing for it and rooms are really really small. Lastly, they made the charge for beach towels and beach chairs mandatory for all days u would stay their while there were days I haven’t used them but still paid for it! So some improvement would be so much better to reflect the quality of the hotel!!

The only good thing about this place is the location was decent (besides construction outside). The room was dirty, dirty bedding, dirty floors, dirty bathroom. No one cleaned this room and it's obvious. The beds are very uncomfortable and obviously old. The floor in the bathroom had a soft spot that was mushy to the touch and felt like it was going to cave in, cant be very safe. The cable cord to the TV was broken and fringed so we had no channels come through. The worst part was the smell though. The whole building smelt like a musty litter box. We just needed a place to crash so it was fine for 2 nights but I would not stay here again. Pay a few more dollars and get something twice as nice. Unfortunately I made a mistake booking before reading the reviews, that's my bad. Very old hotel that just needs to be demolished.

The staff are dope folks always helpful . The rooms are functional. the cleaning lady does not stop by what so ever unless you ask front desk. I travelled with my 1 yr old, the beds are high and not ideal for small children . ASK FOR EXTRA PILLOWS TO PUT ON THE FLOOR. If not make sure to ask any king size beds, so no mishaps . The only bug I saw was mosquitoes. The restaurant is tasty, drinks are a great touch. Yes the elevator is slow, But stairs are always available. A peaceful stay! Great food around the area.

A Nightmare, Not a Hotel If you're in the mood for a nightmarish stay, this is the place for you. My recent visit to this hotel in Miami was nothing short of a horror show. From start to finish, it was an unending parade of disappointments. Room from Hell: Chipped paint on the walls, large gaping holes crudely covered by flimsy mirrors, and to top it off, mold creeping its way through the bathroom. I can only assume they mistook this for modern art. This was supposed to be a place of rest and relaxation, but it felt more like a scene from a horror movie. Customer "Service": The customer service representative, if you can even call her that, was a shining example of what NOT to do in the hospitality industry. She was astonishingly rude, completely lacking in manners. She single-handedly ruined any hope of a pleasant stay. To say that I'm disappointed is an understatement. This hotel is a disgrace to the hospitality industry. I've stayed in budget motels that provided a more welcoming environment. In fact, I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. I'm leaving this review to save others from the nightmare I experienced. Save yourself the trouble, and steer clear of this so-called "hotel." You'd have a better time camping in the swamp. It's a one-star rating only because there's no option for zero stars. Never again! P.S. The ONLY plus point was the location, right in front of the beach provided easy access to the beach.

Only thing good about this place is the beach is across the street. The place is filthy, the elevator doesn’t work properly, staff is not helpful or attentive. The halls reeked of weed and cigarettes even though no smoking signs were posted everywhere. Very very dirty, stairs were not cleaned the entirety of our time spent there, we walked past the same trash that was dropped on the stairs and hallways daily. Posted pictures are completely misleading, hotel exterior and the room we stayed in were completely run down. Stay at your own risk!

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! I wish I could give NO stars....When we drove up to the hotel my husband said "This is it" and I laughed thinking he was joking. The building looked like it was runned down badly! Took a chance and went to the lobby and asked the receptionist if there was any way that we could see the room. She said "No that's why we have pictures online" with a smug attitude. This made me mad so I gave her the same attitude back and said "Well those pictures look NOTHING like what im seeing here". Long story short, we could not cancel or get a refund on our booking so we lost that money but left anyway and spent more money by going to a different hotel. I was NOT going to risk the possibility of bed bugs or anything to get my daughter sick. THAT'S HOW UGLY AND NASTY IT FELT TO BE THERE!!!!! I'm sure that's why they don't allow refunds or cancellations. They would probably be out of business with people showing up and being surprised at how DIFFERENT and filthy it is to see in real life than in those "pictures online" 😡😡😡😡

So first of all, the pictures the hotel uses are from at least 4 or 5 years ago. This “hotel” needs to be included in all the construction outside of it and knocked down. $18 fee for amenities? The pool looked gross, it sits alongside an alley where dumpsters and who knows what else gives that whole area a fragrance of a landfill. The room I stayed in was about as basic as I’ve ever seen, nowhere to store anything, the refrigerator was barely cooler than room temp, the windows were not sealed so you get all the noise from the parking lot and construction below, not to mention being in the 4th floor if you pushed lightly on the window it would fall to the ground below. We never used the elevator but waited about 3 minutes for it and said screw it we will take the stairs. The only positive was that you are less than 100 yards from the ocean and you apparently can save yourself the $100 and just bring a tent and sleep on the beach. That would have been a far better option than staying at this place.

I honestly had a great stay at this hotel. I was a little wary after reading reviews, but I was very pleased when I arrived. It’s an old hotel with history and they’re doing a great job of preserving it. It has a lot of beautiful art deco touches. Everybody was incredibly kind and helpful. Yes the building is old, there are some stains, but overall I had a wonderful stay in a beautiful building in an amazing location. Will be back again for sure!

Overall this hotel did its job but it definitely shouldn’t be up and running. Front desk staff was super nice and helpful but the rooms were pretty dirty and messed up. We stayed in room 312 and the bathroom floor sunk in when you stepped on it, I was genuinely scared to use the shower as I thought I was going to fall through. It’s a decent location and the beach access was super nice, I do think they should warn you about construction before booking. The beds were either sinking in the middle or rock hard. There was hair all over the bathroom and one of the beds looked cleaner than the other. The air freshener they use is strong but i think it’s so it doesn’t smell muggy. There was for sure mold on the air conditioning unit but it was too hot to not use it. 🤷🏻‍♀️ They also don’t have their own parking so you have to pay from 8am-6pm. the restaurant downstairs is a plus and has nice food and drink but the quality of the hotel did make me worry about the condition of the kitchen but like I said the food was tasty so I ate it 😂. I think this place could really be turned around if they tried really really hard. If you’re super picky and want the finer things in life don’t choose this hotel but if you’re on a budget(kinda because the parking and fee they charge to use towels and chairs on the beach kinda even out the price of other hotels) and like making the best of a situation give it a try.

Great location steps from Miami Beach. $18 USD resort fee covers all towels and chairs by the pool as well. The building is older but kept clean. Service at the desk was very friendly and helpful. Also 1 block from stores along Collins Ave and the free trolley to get around South Beach. Was great for a quick overnight stay.

We were helped by Pamela at the front desk for both our check in and check out. She was polite, informative, friendly, and helpful. Her customer service was great and she really took care of us. The location was great and cost effective as a lot of food options and the beach are within comfortable walking distance.

I would like to start off by saying that the pictures are not what the hotel actually look like at all. The check in area is somewhat decent but the rest is not pleasant. Number one the area is full of druggies inside & out. The rooms are actually really small & so are the bathrooms. When I booked this place it said ocean view but I had wall view on both windows I had. I was placed in the “second building” to the side which was more creepy than anything else. Bunch of weirdos hanging around. I later booked another hotel which was cheaper than this place & SO MUCH better. I think the only good thing about this place was that it was beachside & I had two beach chairs included. But even when I asked for towels for my partner & I, the receptionist said she only had one to give. I Would not recommend this place to anyone unless you will be out 99% of the time even thought there is still cheaper places out there with better service overall, I was also charged $18 per night as a hotel fee so I ended up paying an additional $60 on top of the 600 I payed.

The Broadmoor Miami is absolutely disgusting and roach infested. I did not notice it immediately at check in because the lobby was clean and nice, but I wanted to cry the minute I entered my room. This place looks nothing at all like the pictures advertised. The pictures must be from when The Broadmoor first opened, or from the last time they renovated (which from the condition of the motel, that had to have been years ago). The furniture in the room was water damaged and broken. The window panes were so dirty that I could barely see out of them. There were roaches everywhere in the room (they even climbed inside of my son's cup of water) - we ended up moving to a hotel across the street that was completely bug free, so do not think that Miami was the problem. Also, the pool had the thickest black ring around it, as if it had not been cleaned in eons - it was so visibly disgusting that I would not even dip my toe in it. Also, Expedia should be ashamed of themselves too because when I reported the condition of this motel to them, and explained that this motel looks nothing like the pictures they advise, they could of cared less, and they still offer this establishment on their website (with the same deceiving pictures). The only positive things I have to say about The Broadmoor Miami is that the staff was pleasant, and the motel is located directly on the (public) beach.

Do yourselves a favor and please don’t stay at this hotel!!!! The bookings showed us 2 options premium and economy and I chose the Economy trying to save few bucks. When we went to check in it was at the decent looking building but they told us we had to stay in the building next door, we didn’t think much and walked towards the building and then the nightmare started! 1) The Elevator was out of service. 2) The carpet in the building lobby and staircase was filthy and smelled horrible 3)Our room door had a crack 4) The peep hole on the door was damaged (Looked like on purpose) 5) The bathroom drain had a horrible smell to it 6) The ceiling had water stains and mold 7) The blinds were all damaged(Couldn’t close them) So I can keep on going cause it was that bad. We booked the place for 2 nights and left the very next morning and found a decent Airbnb 4 mins away.

The stay was great. Pamela at check in was amazing and so was Ardell who was the night concierge. They were very attentive to our needs at all times and friendly, as was the overnight security guard. I definitely would stay again. The pool was a good size with chairs to sun bathe and the towels are provided by the hotel for both beach and pool use.

I was there two years ago and from the looks of most recent reviews nothing has changed. The pictures were a lie then and still are.The staff was nonchalant about things people addressed during their stay. The room I was in was dusty and didn't seem like it had been cleaned, hair was everywhere,it smelled like ashtray, the bed skirt was moldy and the plumbing was bad. The beach is right across the street, there were some stores and places to eat in walking distance is the only nice thing I can say. I wouldn't go back if it was $10 a night

Dont waste your money. I reserved two rooms for 4 nights. They gave us 5 different rooms. One had no electricity. One had a door that did not work. The other one had broken windows and shades. Another one had a broken bed. The shower didn't drain properly. We were tired of running between rooms with luggage and two small children so we decided to stay in one room. Its been almost a month and I haven't received my refund for the unused room. If you call the phone number, no one answers. There are no options to leave voicemails. There is no way to contact these people. Besides that, there is suspicious looking people sitting at the front entrance. There are cockroaches which we saw in the main lobby. The hallways smell like smoke. Overall a horrible experience. Dont do it.

When we first arrived at the hotel, the website stated that we had paid the full amount then turns out it was just a deposit. But nothing of this sort was stated when reserving room through the broadmore website. The elevator was out of service. So we had to carry suitcases up and down stairs. Upon entering our king suite, the floors were dirty and there were empty beer cans left on the balcony. Not hot water in our entire stay. The cleaning crew came and cleaned up, but the materials they were using to clean were not that sanitary. Our bathroom also has multiple small roaches coming from the cracks in the wall. The beach access to chairs/umbrella was never stated anywhere online that it’s for weekend only, so when trying to go Monday, it wasn’t available for use. The beach towels were not also beach towels, they were very small white towels which are not that beach friendly especially if you don’t have chairs. Our package we reserved stated we had 2pm check out but the desk said it was 11am. A lot of contradicting information the entire time The location is great and tacos were delicious if you can get past all the bad.

Very very old hotel, simple, but clean. Decent size pool, and they give you pool towels so you don't have to bring any. Woman at front desk around 4pm very pleasant and nice. Elevator was the working and we originally had a 3rd floor room. Wowan asked if we needed 2 beds, and if not she could put us on the first floor in a king which was perfect. Hotel was very quiet for having a corner street/ pool room. Great location 👌! Short walk across a non busy street. Several places to walk to and eat. Since it was a long travel day we walked around the block to a place called Burgers and Shakes and the burgers were thick and delicious 😋.

This place is fantastic! Hotel Broadmoor is full of character with a perfect location Our view was THE BEST. We especially loved the preserved art deco hotel atmosphere (telephone booths and all) Our room was clean. Bridget and LARGE Needs some minor refreshing/updating for carpet in stairs and in some common areas. The elevator needs updating because it is EXTREMELY slow.

  • 4/5 Alyssa E. 1 year ago on Google
The front desk was EXTREMELY friendly & helped with whatever necessary, even allowing us to hold our bags behind the desk since our flight was leaving so late. Their kindness was apparent! 5 stars to them! There was no maid service in our 3 nights that we slept in the room, and we had to ask for multiple towels (which was never a problem). We had a great view of the ocean & back parking but the windows were dirty & photos didn't come out well. Great location on the beach & we could easily walk to food & fun. Would stay again

Location and staff are both major pluses for this hotel! Very friendly and helpful people working there. From the manager to the cleaning staff, it made our stay very pleasant! And just a few steps from the beach!!! The rooms were renovated and could use continued work. But, it is a vintage hotel so certain things such as a slow elevator and carpeted hallways are acceptable. The nights were silent and the room was clean and had comfortable bedding. I would definitely stay there again and I recommend it!
