I’d rate it with 0 stars if I could. So let’s think the 1* is for the location. Everything was a bad experience and stay away from this hotel! When we arrived to our room (Luxury King Room, which wasn’t cheap at all) it was already occupied by different people. The staff couldn’t find out what happened so were “placed” on another dorm room and asked to wait 20-30 mins while they get the people out of our room, time that ended up to be more than 2 hours. Nobody came to us and when I went downstairs I figured out that the previous shift just left. If I wouldn’t come down, we would have been still waiting for who knows how long. Next, the breakfast. The worst breakfast at a hotel I’ve ever had. Every day they give you a paper bag with 1 apple, 1 cereal bar, 1 fast-food oatmeal bag, and 1 yogurt. No any choices, the same bag every day. And coffee, which tastes like colored water. Next, the room. Our room was cleaned only once for the entire 4 nights stay. We were leaving a door knob flyer saying we need it cleaned, asked the front desk. But nothing helped. The hotel itself looks also not clean, not cozy. Some people was working there all days and leaving construction garbage. So the description on the booking website is absolutely different from the real experience! The standards are very low, but the price is too high for it! I highly NOT recommend this hotel!

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I wouldn't even give it one star if I didn't have to. I traveled to Miami with one of my friends and we were excited about this hostel find, unfortunately, we ended up regretting the booking as whole ! This place has two things going for it... one, the location and two, our AC unit worked. Beyond that, nothing was remotely okay. The staff wasn't nice ( in fact, they were down right rude and told us things that we not true). The entire place is closed down or under construction. There is no bar as advertised and the back patio is inaccessible. The kitchen is gross and needs a good deep clean. All of the construction work makes things very dusty and loud. We booked 3 nights, the first 2 we were woken up by EXTREME jackhammering immediately outside our window at 7 am. The blinds didn't close all the way and the men working outside could see into our room ( we were two single girls). Honestly, even a mention of the construction would have made things better so we knew what to expect or could have got up prior to work being started. We only stayed the second night because we felt as if we had no choice as we were traveling on a budget. We were told that if we came to check out before our third night they would refund the third night and our deposit ( NOT TRUE) they ended up charging us double for our entire stay and we are now speaking with the credit card company to get this fixed which we should not have to be doing. Needless to say, please save your trip and book elsewhere. The staff here does nothing to assist guests and even after construction is complete, I cant imagine that the staff cares enough to ever make this place worth it.

Of course you can’t come here expecting the Hilton. The rooms, beds and bathroom are decent. Didn’t have any problems at all. Location is great and environment is nice, be mindful is one of the cheapest hotel in the area. Be careful with the payments, they charge more than once. Don’t pay anything at the hotel because then they charge you after you leave the hotel.

I was excited to stay at this place but ended up alone, past midnight, exhausted from the flights and full of luggage wandering around Miami. Sadly, I couldn't check in. I put the credit card information when I booked it, put in on the website. When I got there, I was informed that they haven't charged anything yet, and I needed to pay for check in. Okay. I'm a foreigner and I had cash and a contactless card (on apple wallet). They said that the only accepted physical credit cards. It's the first time it happened to me, to be denied to use the contactless payment. Okay, so I offer to pay in cash and someone else puts their card, i pay the card owner. They also couldn't do that. They saw me, foreigner, a girl alone past midnight and they said it was against their policy: the card should have the name of the guest. It makes zero sense cause what if I was using my mom's card? No one would notice. But I had to move around trying to find a new place to stay. Carrying the heavy luggage. All places around were so expensive last minute. Also, if I know about that, I would've looked for other place to stay sooner, and not paid last minute fees. I had to took an Uber to a different place I found online. It's really sad cause I had planned my trip around this hostel, and the vibes seemed to be nice, but they didn't send any emails reminding me of the instructions for check in, the website is misleading, and it turned my experience in Miami to a nightmare. Tired, with no room to crash, took hours for me to finally take a should and sleep that night.

The staff is super nice. There’s a kitchen you can use and it has everything you need to cook a meal. I stayed in a 8-person room, it was okay. It depends mostly on your roommates. Overall it was a nice experience. I made some great friends. It includes breakfast

Update 6/3/22: The hostel has decided to remove me from the premises as Tropical Storm Alex hits Miami, due to the below review. I am appalled at "Beds'N Drinks" hostel for this decision, and will never return, regardless of their future renovation status. It feels criminal at worst, and incredibly petty at best. The owners of this establishment should be concerned about continuing to use Equity Point Management. Luckily I have been able to book at Generator Hostel nearby. It is such a huge improvement, and I'm so glad to now be at Generator. Original Review: This was sold to me as the best solo traveler hostel, full of lively activities, but that seems to be a lie. The worthwhile events (hotdog parties, movie screenings, back patio and bar, nightclub crawls, etc) are all cancelled due to "renovations." This is not apparent on the website, or HostelWorld listing, anywhere. This fact lowers this property from a fun place to meet people and do things to a very lame place. It is close to the beach, but so is literally every other hostel in Miami Beach. Do not recommend.

They should rename it to just beds because the bar was closed. The patio was also closed due to the loud construction which started at 8 AM Monday-Saturday. The breakfast was a joke and I would recommend avoiding that all together. When the radiator had a giant puddle coming from it I asked for an extra towel to clean it up and they said I had to pay for it. When I checked out they made me clean up the bedsheets myself before they let me check out. Even for the cheap price and great location it is absolutely NOT worth it

The worst experience ever. The place is unsafe and allows strangers to enter the rooms even if they are not guests in the hostel. The manager of this place is very rude and unprofessional. No one speek English and they don't even understand the basic English. No early check in even if the rooms are empty. No electricity near ur bed. No cups or dishes in the kitchen. No stove in the kitchen. U have to pay 1 dollar for a towel. The staff are very rude and slow and unfriendly. The bathroom is not clean. Worst hostel in Miami, I left after the first night. Don't waste ur time.

In 2018 October my drink got spiked at this hostel only after being there one hour after a few drinks before catching a party bus. I was there on my honeymoon with my partner. Most horrific experience of my life. When I got up in the morning still in shock of not knowing what happened, I went down to the staff at reception and they could not even give me the videos of the footage of the night. Saying the owner was away. I do not recommend staying here at all! Finally I have the courage to say something of waking up from nightmares still to this day. If you have the footage I would love to see it still. Roshelle Ferris.

The customer service was so bad, the man in the front desk was extremely rude, and even other guests were complaining about it directly with him, so it wasn’t just us thinking the same thing, they were literally between 5 and 10 guests complaining with him about their poor and horrible service. There was an extra guest in our room who didn’t pay for her stay (it was the girlfriend from one of the other guests in our room). My phone charger was stolen in my room and MY towel (not the hostel’s one) was stolen in the storage room. About the cleanliness/cleaning… it was literally disgusting and horrible because our shower was full of hair balls around all the shower floor. Wish we could’ve taken pictures about it but it was so gross that we couldn’t even look at the floor (no exaggeration, seriously). We read a lot of bad reviews about the hostel but we decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and give it a try but it wasn’t worth it at all and it was even way worse than we thought, expected, and read online. .

My experience here was terrible, Nobody should try this hostel as the service is horrible and its not clean at all and they are not responsible for anything that happens there. I do not suggest this at all to anyone, please don’t go there for your own sake.

It is a really cool location and they have the right idea, but this place misses the mark a bit. It feels like at some point this was an awesome hostel, but maybe it took some hits during Covid. There is a pretty cool entrance and front patio, but in the entrance there is a full bar....completely empty and in slight disarray. The front desk is a little small and felt understaffed, but the employees I interacted with were great and a definite redeeming factor for this place. The rooms are decent with reasonable beds and lockers, but the bathrooms felt a little worn-out. The kitchen is small and messy and falling apart in some places. I know it's a hostel, but it still could be much better. There is a patio courtyard area "in the back" that could be cool to hang in, but the space was a little neglected. The free breakfast was in a bag: an apple, yogurt, granola bar, instant oatmeal packet. Basically this place has good bones and when tourism returns they could make this place great again with just a little more money, staff, and effort. I had a 3-star experience, but I will still definitely go back because the location makes it a great place to be for a reasonable price.

Don’t waste your money I have stayed in 100’s of hostels and I would easily say that this hostel is the worst service I have received. My partner and I booked a private room as we were arriving early in the morning. We booked the room for the previous night so when we arrived we could check straight into our room. On arrival the hostel advised us that they marked us as a no show and they could not let us into the room until the check in time of 3pm (this is for night two) they said there was absolutely nothing they could do. We paid $200 aud for this room for the night and they honestly didn’t care. When we were trying to sort it with the two people at reception they asked if we could speak Spanish and we advised we couldn’t so they continued speaking Spanish to each other. I think is extremely rude, it made us feel very uncomfortable. I think this is really poor service, I have never stayed somewhere where you can’t check in the morning when you have paid for the previous night??? Check in on the website states from 3pm onwards it has no 3pm -12am?? At what time do you mark in the system a no show?? Other things to note they only store luggage until 5pm the following day if any longer a 25us charge applies. It feels like a hostel out for your money and not a lot else. This is my first ever negative review :(

The only two things good about this hostel is the price is affordable and the location. The showers are never cleaned and full of sand on the floor. Floor mat is dirty. Breakfast is a brown bag with a cheap yogurt, cheap muffin or cereal bar, apple or banana, and an oatmeal pack. There's construction right outside the window during the morning. Some of the power sockets are broken and wifi not stable.

Please note they will charge lots of random additional fees when you check in. (14% tax?!?! and a 5% card fee?!?!) Pros: Good location, right near lincoln road Breakfast included, isnt the best but its something! (toast, eggs and yogurt) Cons: Most of the powerpoints in the room didn't work properly, they don't have powerpoints and a light at your bed like mos hostels do. The wifi is bad and doesn't really work. The bathroom is also in the room with one toilet and shower so you have to wait if somene else is using it. Overcharged: charged a resort fee online and in person. And they also charge other random fees when you get there. Also depends on who you have in your room, some people that hang around the hostel seem shady, I had a crazy drunk guy in my room. Good place for if you just need a bed to sleep in.

You can only hangout in your room or outside areas and lobby. The outside areas don’t have any activities and it’s mostly empty. Not a social hostel. I had a homeless person in my room that was fighting with everyone. Bfast is the same thing every day, the rooms are dirty and humid. They don’t have any activities. Bar is closed and no hotdog party or anything like they advertised. Rooftop is closed. No extra showers only the one in the rooms.

Very good atmosphere in this Hostel! I really enjoyed my stay! The breakfast is simple. The staff is friendly, and very pleasant Marisa allowed me to leave my luggage for the day before doing my checking. Very nice to have the toilet separate from the shower! The shower is also big and the rooms are clean! Very nice for the evenings! Most of the guests are together in the evening in front of the hostel. It's very nice to be able to meet people so easily. Also the location is perfect: 10 mins from the beach and with everything nearby. Nico was invaluable in knowing where to go! He is lovely and very helpful

Not the best, but not the worst in the area. Some common areas and facilities are basically on the street which is kind of weird. Also seems like they let anyone just sort of wander around inside. Dorm room was decent. Bit dirty tho. Mine had an ensuite which was nice and easy. Kitchen was tiny cramped and near useless. Close to Lincoln and convention center . Not too far from water, although not that close to ocean drive area of south beach strip, quite north in that regard.

So prices are worths, daily 40 bucks + taxes and 6$ resort fee. Breakfast not included but if you want you can buy for a 6$. Whatever this place great and nice

Would give these guys 3 stars. You get what you expect. For one of the lowest rates in Miami Beach you get a bed in a hostel that is sort of clean, with mostly friendly staff and a breakfast that is filling but nothing special. Location is great. The fact that a guest was removed from the premises by the police was not nice but hey, could happen in every hostel. The reason, however, that I give only two stars is the fact that instead of refunding the 40 dollar deposit on my credit card, they charged the amount twice. According to other reviews this had happened more often.

If your doing a quick layover in Miami, a reasonably priced option is this one. A block from the beach. Ross 1/2 block away for last minute shopping. Loads of restaurants within walking distance. You can walk to 17th street and catch a 150 bus to the airport. The express bus runs every thirty minutes starting at 5 am.

I booked this place for three nights and only ended us staying one and getting another hotel. In my suite of 10, the bunk beds were unstable and you could hear anytime someone moved, the door to the bathroom did not close, and overnight the AC leaked water all over the floor. It is an amazing deal in a great location, but was not worth it to me.

Overall average stay. Location and price are only redeeming factors. Rooms are small and either boiling hot or freezing. Luckily had no issues with check in /out but seems like others did. Had a kitchen but sign saying it will be closed as of end of Jan ‘24. Why!!? My food got stolen 3 days in a row so be careful.. Laundry room available also. Bathroom and room were relatively clean. $6 for breakfast. Can rent beach towels but BYO locks. Pick a good bed as some don’t have outlets!

Omg! I had a great time staying at Beds and drinks. I went there for one week , and i ended up staying there for two weeks. I like everything about this place. Everything is near by.The place is fun, very clean and comfortable. Frankly, I really felt at home being there. The staff and guests were awesome. They were so friendly and cordial. Although, I've met a lot of nice people being there for 2 weeks. The day I was leaving , i felt so sad because, i felt like i was leaving my family behind. And I wasn't the only one who felt that way. A lot of other guests that i talked to felt the same way about me. We all wished we could stay longer there. But unfortunately, you can only stay there for two weeks. That's the policy. However, i highly recommend " BEDS & DRINKS to anyone who's looking for a great, safe, affordable hostel and location to spend their vacation in Miami Beach . Due to my experience there, .i give BEDS & DRINKS 5/5. Notheless, I thank all the Staff there for their outstanding service and professionalism.

I came because it was the most cheapest hostel. I got dirty sheet, beds are so bad when you are turning or do anything it's moving. I did not want to buy menu breakfast I asked only bagel with butter they said they don't give me. Today before check out I asked cappuccino they said they don't have it only Americano, okay I asked milk, they don't have! I am done with this place. It's fine because the cheapest and really close to the beach but there nothing good in this hostel!

Bad experience overall. The employee at the rception was very rude. I checked out on june 27th, one hour late, it's understandable that there will be fine, but what it is not ok is that she was rude and disrespectful about it. I don't know where did they learn about hospitality and dealing with people, it's sad that we spend money to be treated with disprespect. If she doesn't like her job then don't put on customers who pay for their salaries. Since I arrived I have seen so much drama at the reception, they are probably doing something wrong. Beside that, the place has bad wifi and a weird security system, where you are asked to keep the bracelet on your hand the WHOLE day, it seems they are trying to keep homless people away, they are not doing a good job there either. This review is not to make me feel good, it is to help other travelers avoid rude staff. There are many better hostels around, I was told that since my first day, it took me few days to understand why other travellers said that.

  • 3/5 Nic B. 6 months ago on Google
Room was insanely hot and humid, even more than outside. Stinky. Parking isn't included. I was very itchy for about 3 days after I left. I have no proof of bed bugs, and tbh my bed was made of plastic and had no sheet so I wouldn't think bed bugs could survive there. But regardless I'd say spend another $10 and stay at a nicer hostel.

  • 1/5 Charles E. N. 5 months ago on Google
They will ban you from the property if you accidentally reserve over 14 days in one month. Even if that happens you'll be fine because it's not a very good place at all. The management is terrible.

The workers are the rudest for no reason.. And they charge me 2 time’s deposit… for no reason again… I felt sad staying there . Never come back again

Josey and her day staff are thieves and completely incompetent. They took towels from my bed, and wont replace them. I have no idea why my property was stolen when the towels were colored and not the ones given out by the hostel. They are too unintelligent to check with housekeeping to see if they got mixed in with the hostels laundry. They really need to get out of the USA and go back to the jungle. I hope this building collapses as it is disgusting, filled with mold, and filled with the most unpleasant workers! The health department and labor department really need to shut this place down ASAP. They probably have illegal immigrants working there and that is why they feel the need to steal and not speak English.

I would give it 50000 minus stars if I could. The most horrible service and setup. The manager is never available to talk to. Ceilings are dripping with fungus and black moss deposits, every room smells like fumigation chemicals, the girls you share the room with play loud music and videos all night in the same room with absolutely no sense of mutual respect for sleeping hours. It was an absolute nightmare to stay here the worst mistake of my life ever

Beds N Drinks Hostel, perfectly located, the staff is super nice, they care about making your stay very pleasant. Is clean and beautiful decorated. The breakfast is fresh made every morning, you have different options and now for only $6.00 you can get a really healthy good breakfast with American coffee. Cheaper than anywhere else. I totally recommended Beds N Drinks, i love the atmosphere is always clean ill definitely comeback. Please read terms and conditions before booking. Make sure you are aware of the extra fee per night ($6.00) and security deposit ($20.00) they request upon check in the deposit is by card only. A lot of people complaint so if you cant comply i recommend you to stay somewhere else.

So the rooms were very clean and the staff friendly. That's it for the positive. If they make a clerical error with your stay, guess what? You get to be kicked out, because it's the customers problem, not theirs. Honestly, go find a cardboard box and sleep in it. Or sleep on the beach. Because the lack of care and respect this place has for its customers, you'd be better off sleeping in the streets.

Nice spot, close to everything. Not much to do, but the staff is very nice, breakfast is decent and the rooms and kitchen clean. Every now and then some shady people at night will show up on the patio, but the area seems pretty safe in general.

Terrible smell, and out of the hotelsI stayed at, this was my least favorite . The beds are simple bunk beds with difficult ladders to climb up and down. Props to them for having a kitchen and breakfast, though.

The room smell terrible and she says that’s normal for a hostel, i asked nicely to change the room she refused! Not because she dont have any availability but because she thinks that’s normal! management is terrible and nothing like the pics! It’s so basic! No bar nothing!

Construction jackhammer outside in the morning at 8am. Some construction blew a leaf blower into the window and raised dust that seaped through the window into the hostel room. He joked "catch a whiff" for that puffy dusty smoke. You can see the construction workers walking outside your window. Bed is decent, except for the dust that flew in. In general decent clean but not the best. Shower had bags and rags all over the place. Location is good and convenient in South Beach Miami. Wifi service can disconnect at times/laggy. AC seems difficult to circulate throughout the room (but I slept in the bed next to it) Breakfast yogurt banana granola muffin. Filtered water in the kitchen. Cheaper hostel bed price compared to other locations in the area.

Best hostel in South Beach. Josie the manager is amazing and cares about the experience of the guests. The staff is very helpful as well. Thank you Niko, Bianca, Emilio, Marissa, & Shanae. If I left anyone out, I'm sorry. Everyone made this a pleasant stay and i highly recommend this hostel.
