Worst customer service ever. I tried to cancel my membership 3 months ago, they charged me $59 annual fee and told me it was canceled and then they charged me for July and August and I’m trying to call them and send them emails and they don’t want to give me my money back. The worst experience I ever have with a gym. If you don’t want to get robbed pick a different gym

This people is the worst. I joined in 2020 one day before the closed the gym due to the pandemic. They were closed for months. I never used the gym, not one single day. They called me after one year, told them I didn’t live close to the gym anymore, so they can cancel my membership and refund the money I paid. They didn’t refund me, even when I was unable to use the gym, due to been closed. Not happy with that, they send me to collection for $85!!! Stay away from this scammers, specially Tania who does a horrible job. Calling my layer tomorrow morning.

Horrible experience. Would not recommend this gym to anyone. I don’t usually leave reviews but I had one of the worst customer service experience in my life. My personal character was questioned and I was told that me and the person I was with were lying about a refund we were promised at the time we signed up. We were told by Gil that if the gyms were to close down again (due to COVID) we would receive a refund of the remaining time (we only signed up for 1.5 months). We were unsure whether to sign up in fear gyms would close again and voiced this concern. Gil was very charming and charismatic and told us we would of course receive a refund in they closed down again. We both agreed we would hate for that to happen and we were excited to work out at the gym. We were only getting the membership for roughly a month so if the gyms were to close and we couldn’t get a refund, we weren’t interested in joining. We told that to Gil and understood and promised the refund. When we found out gyms were closing again today, we went to Crunch to receive the refund Gil promised. We talked with Gil and he acted like a completely different person. He was very combative and said he never said we would receive a refund and made up a completely different story about what he allegedly said. The person I was with and I both clearly said that we were told about the refund possibility and that’s why we signed up. He continued to attack us saying “of course you both would have the same story” and refused to hear us out. Get everything in writing. They will lie and deceive you to get you to sign up but then turn into an entirely different person when you have any questions or problems with their service. Update: The gyms are remaining open (despite the closure notice yesterday). But, I would encourage potential members to be aware of the lack of honest and polite customer service at this establishment.

I bought the membership because they told me it’s allowed to train with my coach on the phone (we are training online). Month later I had a conversation with a gym manager, when it appeared I am not allowed to do that… And, actually, the problem is not that they lied to sell me the membership. But how this manager spoke to me: he was very rude and humiliating. It looked like he reprehended me, and not kindly inform of the rules as, I believe, a person in a service work should do. It felt awfull. Most unpleasant experience not in the USA (and I’ve recently moved here), but probably in my life.🫣

Crunch seemed to be more clean before COVID-19. Now they just depend on each customer to clean their own workout machine before and after each use, but do they? To me and my friend who also works out there it seems dirtier now. Also, showers are closed and there is no towel service anymore, yet the monthly price and fee to join Crunch remains the same. Not good.

Was not allowed to even enter the facilities. Was in town finalizing details to move to Miami. While there, decided to take a look at this facility as a prospect gym when I move to the area next month. Filled out a day pass to check it out, was not even allowed in. Was asked why I was there, told the gentleman I filled out a day pass, asked me if I lived in Miami which I said not yet, and was turned around because free day passes are only for"locals". I replied that was not on the website, he replied, yes, it's very small. Thanks for nothing. If this was there start of a business relationship, no thanks.

Horrible service, rude administrator (looking like he was addicted from hard drugs), lobby is dirty and the gym itself is tiny and with old equipment. Horribly overpriced. Furthermore, got a 3-day trial on the official website of this chain, but administrator said they will not provide that. Don’t waste your time and money here, much better just visit FREE beach gym with all the equipment needed for a great workout and much better experience and amazing overall atmosphere!

Overall the space is okay, mediocre at best when in terms of layout. I work as a Fitness Director and Master Trainer based out of Toronto so I was a bit more observant on the little meticulous things. Assortment of machines were okay, not many multi jointed / functional, not many cable machines, DB rack wasn’t plentiful as can be, turf area was a mess so it shows the culture of people who uses it, cardio machines way too close especially during the pandemic where people aren’t disinfecting. I was also checking out the trainers profile and with it being such a small team, I doubt much 1:1 training takes place here which makes sense as they don’t seem to promote it due to their consultation space being so cramped and bare bones. The both times that I went, the only staff on site was the receptionist and a janitor, no manager and no actual personal training was taking place. This could be a liability issue as I saw terrible forms all around, messy environment and overall a zoo. What if I had a question? Where’s the customer service? This is a gym where you would feel intimidated and out of place if you didn’t know what you were doing. Why I gave it a 2 stars and not lower is because of the great customer service I got on the both days I attended from a wonderful gentlemen and a very sweet women who both worked at the front desk. The conversations we had was brief but very warm and good energy which made it more personal in coming back. Would I use this facility again if I was in town? Yes if I was in the area but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

Will never go back! I enrolled in a free 3-day guest pass to use while I was in town. When I got to the facility, the front desk assistant said the guest pass is allowed for non-locals while it allowed me to enroll online. He then charged me a $38.00 guest entry! This was not even that fancy of a gym. When he ran my card, he said it was declined. He asked me if I had money in my account which I found to be pretty disrespectful. When I called my bank, it turned out the transaction didn’t process because he typed my zip code incorrectly. The 3-day pass is scam! Not worth the time or money!

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Opened my account with them and signed up to a $60 a month membership - is what I was told by the sales rep - Lie. At the moment of sign up I paid first and last month, and some additional fees. Couple of weeks after they call me to charge me my monthly fee of $74, not $60, which made me totally confused. They said it was $74 not $60, I tried to explain it was $60 and the person on the phone kept saying I signed for 74, again this was not true. I requested my membership to be cancelled in that very moment. I was told to go to the gym, I did and the manager was not available to me, I spoke to the sales rep who sold me the membership and he seemed as confused as me-he remembered me and he knew we agreed on $60-and told me to send him an email with the cancellation request. So far, I have sent 2 emails to the rep and 2 emails to the manager, no answer. On the phone, billing person refused to let me talk to a supervisor or to elevate the issue to someone else, she only kept saying I agreed to the $74, which is not true, I was told it was going to be $60. Be aware, not only their memberships are confusing, the customer service is the worst. Update: on Friday Feb 05 they increased the charge from $74 to $89, no explanation given . Still no answer from any of my emails. Still no cancellation.

Just last year, I was a Lone Traveller from Overseas, I popped into Crunch Fitness Miami Beach South, Looking for a Gym to Workout In while being on Holiday, asked to pay for a 2 week Guest Pass, explained my Situation and they were more than happy to Comply. There was obviously alot of Good Culture with Staff, they were very friendly, Good Vibes, Location was VERY Convenient, I’ll be coming back next time I visit, Is there any way I can give it more than 5 stars? Thanks for making my holiday both pleasant and Memorable, & all the best with reopening after Lockdown. I’m only sorry I didn't write this sooner #😊👍🏽🏋🏽‍♂️💪🏽👊🏽💯

The gym looks interesting. Similar to another review, the fine print became an issue just getting a pass. Anyway they are looking for south beach residents at this location. This is the closest one in dade county to me so I wanted to check it out. They do have a lot of hoist and free motion equipment I haven’t used in a while. They are probably healer then other locations on southbeach . Might be good to have ago close to Lincoln road. Anyway the fine print issue and wanting people to sign up immediently is an issue despite the information on the pass. The startup price is a little high as well. I will consider

I tried to cancel my membership for MONTHS and MONTHS. This place REFUSES to allow anyone to cancel. They say "write an email", the gym absolutely WILL NOT let you cancel in person. Then they say "we never received an email" COMPLETE SCAM ARTIST! DO NOT SIGN UP. The only way to stop paying is the cancel the credit card, then once you do they still charge and tell you, "you can not cancel until the account is in good standing". Not only the cancellation problem, it is disgustingly dirty. Needs to be shut down!!

Went to an LA fitness while I was visiting Miami. To call that a mistake would be a mind-blowingly massive understatement. Crunch was great. Clean, lots of equipment, spacious, and the members and employees were very nice. 5 stars and this will by the gym I go to on my next visit

They advertise "Free Gym Pass" and then refuse to honor it, saying that this particular location does not accept it. Well then don't advertise it under this specific location on Google Maps. Rude personnel in the club and, based on the tour I got, the equipment is obsolete.

The old man and Anthony need replaced and reported. Screw those guys. 170 a month, and your current Crunch Membership isn't valid there? How tf is this place still open. They are robbing people and don't feel any remorse. I hope karma gets them to the fullest. Do NOT give these people your money. It's a terrible gym anyway with extremely outdated equipment. I'd give zero stars if I could.

Just moved to South Beach and got a day pass online and they required proof of residence for a day pass? Which is dumb as I just moved here and I wanted to give this gym a try. Then I sent it to charge me $40 for a guest pass for the day. Dumb policy. Any other gym would have just said oh sorry about the misunderstanding and let me get a workout in for the day

Best crunch in miami. Unfortunate you have to spend money to park, and the fact parking is almost impossible.

Was in South Beach for a few days and saw there was a Crunch Fitness that was closer than driving back over into the city. Was totally ok with the idea of paying a day fee. I worked in gyms for a long time, I know the process. The guy at this particular gym was absolutely rude. He had no interest in assisting my friend and I. He was completely dismissive and wanted to charge us $40 for the day? Does anyone know if that’s standard? Anyways, my friend and I ended up going to the Miami PAL (which was only $10/day and the staff there even gave us a pass to use since we were down for a few days). Because of this experience, Crunch where I’m from could NEVER have my money if this is the staff you employee.

I have been amember since the pandemic and have been paying my monthly dues religiously without any previous issue. I lost my job at end of Sept. On Oct. 4th. four days after my monthly payment was due contacted S. Beach branch spoke to their membership agent H. who proceeded to give me misleading information. They don't want to give you the direct # to memberships but an email I managed to get the # and called Corporate billing Dept. they told me is not their responsibility to address this issue, but your S. Beach Manager branch. When I emailed one of their lady managers explaining my situation, I received a generic reply from their "Front Desk" Reminder to pay. Honestly, I can't continue paying them every dollar is going to pay other priority bills such as food ,electric, gas & rent. Their Management purposely is forcing me by giving me an ultimatum to pay first or Crunch will not cancel my membership!! It's Wednesday October 4th, four days have passed and Crunch wants to charge me for the entire month of October. This outrageous behavior of not making a exception only 4 days after my payment was due, it shows how desperate they are for $64.00 to get out of me and if I do not pay it will continue to accrue to $128.00 and so on. They DO NOT CARE IF I AM UNEMPLOYED and my funds are barely down to essential, basically setting me up for a larger debt and up to collections. DO NOT GET A MEMBERSHIP WITH THIS GYM, THERE ARE FAR BETTER GYMS & MANAGEMENT WHO ARE MORE HUMAN BEINGS THAN RUDE MONEY HUNGRY OPERATORS!!

HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT !!! STAY AWAY !!! This gym used to be the best but has turned to absolute trash. I paid first month and last month when I signed up. I stopped going and informed them to cancel my membership. Someone must have let it slip through the cracks, because they continued to charge my account and then sent it to collections. Stay away from this gym. NICOLE STEINHAUSER has managed this gym horribly and has lost them many members. Something should be done about the way this gym is run. It used to be such a gem I'm leaving 5-10bad reviews a day, EVERYDAY going forward to see how they like being a 1 star gym in South Beach. Let's do this

I pay an expensive monthly membership to include guests and different locations. Insane how I visit crunch at south beach because it’s my nearest crunch and it’s still 30 minutes away…. I just want to get a workout in during my vacation and this location is “signature” which is special for Some reason for its “cool classes” or whatever which is cool if I cared to use a class. I don’t care for one bit cause I just need the equipment not someone telling me what to do, I know what I’m doing. I know it’s more expensive cause if it’s location. but this gym wants to charge me 10$ and 17$ for my Guest? For one day? What’s the point of paying a membership?? What type of Miami scam fraudulent activity is going on here. Why don’t you mention anything about these fees on your website??? Would’ve been nice to save me the hour drive?? I’m paying a daily fee like if I don’t already have a membership… Well those 17$ cost you a member that’s been around for years. Front desk said it was the only signature club in Florida which is good cause these are a rip off it’s unfortunate for me that I had to come and waste my time at the only one in the whole state, lucky me!. My membership is useless so I’m transferring to amped as they have the same membership but better facilities. I’m also going out of my way to transfer all my friends to amped. I’ll probably stand outside of crunch and hand out free daily flyers for nearby competitors .. anybody but y’all deserve the business .now I have to drive 30 mins back with no pump. Thanks a lot. I hope I can save someone else some time with this review.

This gym chain gets one star only because it's impossible for me to give zero starts. I intend to stay active and work out during my vacation in Miami Beach. This gym chain offers free 1-day pass but you have to be a resident to be able to use it. What on Earth? I really don't care about the pass being free. I was expecting to pay to use the facilities and only got the free day pass because that's what they offer on their website. This is terrible. I know crunch is a budget gym but it doesn't need to be this terrible. They could've had my money almost everyday for a whole week. Me and all the people vacationing. Shame

I disclosed to the gym in Oct that I will be away for work for the month. I owed $60. I was still charged for NOV and December. Haven't used the gym in 2 months and with MULTIPLE cancelation emails starting 10/9, they still didnt cancel. Although they had every option to take out the $60 for Oct. But yet took out over $200

Being in the gym industry for 12 years, this gym was by far the worst experience in terms of professionalism, staff, and friendliness. First off, let’s start off with the swollen little juiced out pitbull at the front desk with Napoleon complex. He attacked my and my fiancé verbally when we asked if we can get a deal for a week (we’re from out of town), instead of paying the obnoxious $35 day pass fee. He was a know it all, with a nasty attitude. He asked us to leave after I asked him what his problem was, and he continued to act like a roided out lunatic with a complex. I highly recommend checking out a more professional establishment like Anatomy, or anywhere else really, for the same drop in price. They are the reason people are uncomfortable to workout in large gyms, and I don’t blame them!

This is not Equinox... nor is it intended to be! It's a good gym, with working equipment and a nice variety of group classes at less than 1/3 the cost of the aforementioned competitor. In esse, it's an excellent value for the money. A special note.... some of their Zumba instructors are outrageous, super-high energy, and SOOO much fun. This would have been a 5 star rating but, class selection on the weekends is limited.

I came in as a one time guest, as I have a condo gym I can go to while visiting. Michael greeted me at the door warmly and then Anthony, the GM, made me feel right at home. So much so that I came back the next day when I met Nichelle, who continued the experience. I came back again! She remembered me and had my guest fee ready and waiting. I visit often and will continue using this gym, which is nice. The staff is even better!

I love this gym but I ESPECIALLY LOVE Kamilla the Barre instructor and Alex the other fitness instructor who is italian. Both of these instructors motivate me and bring a high level of joy to the class so even though I’m sweating and struggling I’m also smiling and laughing and I couldn’t ask for anything more. Also a big shot out to Anthony the manager for always being very nice and cheerful when I come in! This is a great local gym

During a pandemic with approximately one half of all cardio machines blocked off, there are people daily using the machines for up to TWO HOURS. One member in particular is on the elliptical for TWO HOURS every day. No one actually watches if other members are actually able to work out. Furthermore these same cardio hogs wear their masks only half covering their noses and mouths or not at all.

I am visiting as per a job interview in south beach, Florida. Naturallywas looking for a local gym. I apply online for a try pass ( intended for one day). Then I realized in the front desk that is for locals the use of the pass. In the fine print only of course. I take this a comercial trick and a lie. Desalinating, disappointing, bad policy. BTW, south beach location full of homeless people around and dirty entrance.

When it comes to the crunch family Corner crunch team just so you know you guys are so awesome the reviews that people pitch I would even worried about it down to the sales representative pt manager personal trainers maintenance crew you guys are really really knowing it and I mean that 100% There's a guy that work at crunch he had weight on them from the time that I've been here he lost all that weight and congratulations on losing all that weight just know you look better with your hair short I keep up the good work because you look really really good When it comes to the front desk and sale Representatives you guys are really awesome when I was having a bad day or anybody was having a bad day I hell even a good day you found a way to make people laugh on the way in the door to get people to open up to you a little more you made it feel like they were family and not just a dollar sign go to all the you at the front desk including the guy that was here today thank you all so very much When it comes to PT manager imma say you have a horrible teeth just playing with you your team a personal trainers they are so awesome they take the time to listen to see what they need to improve on what they get done even if they want to build 10% of muscles the trainer's shoe for 20 to 30% raise the bar to you I say thank you or hiring such a good team Coach vino Now when it come to my coach Vino oh God where the start not only does he have a heart of gold he have that passion that drives that will that fire two improve his self but at the same time help improve any and everybody else he is a type of trainer that is willing to take his time to answer any of your questions but this is with any and all the other trainers as well but when it comes to coach v the PT manager was right if you going to train with him you need to eat an hour early because he will put you through a massive work this is why I say to you keep pushing your future clients that way because it works I was small when I first came in and I'm leaving with at least a higher percentage than what I was expecting to leave with which was about 10 to 15% more a muscle even though I don't see it Jarred This guy is no outgoing so spontaneous so passionate about what he do and since I've been here I have never seen him have a bad day he always have a smile on his face he's always outgoing he's always willing to talk to you he's always willing to listen to your niece even when you leave it a chance you don't mind having a conversation and to me that is very hard to come by because many people why sales representative at other gyms did not take the time to really do that that's which is why I see gyms like this is very hard to come by so where they make you feel like you are family and not a dollar sign like I said before So thank you all for making this is a very good experience for meat this gym Sincerely Kent b

I LOVE Crunch South Beach! Carole S filled in for my personal trainer who had to be out the day I started. She took the time to notice my particular needs and developed a custom training routine with a team approach that included strength, balance and flexibility. I've made incredible progress and still going! Can't thank her enough!

Overpriced gym with hidden fees. No basketball court, no sauna, no pool, and the personal trainers hound you like crazy. They tend to keep the place clean for the most part though… so I guess I’ll give them that.

This is my first month with crunch. I am enjoying the Pilates with Carole S. I have sports injuries. Carole’s Pilates class has given me more flexibility in my body and less pain. I am grateful.

A gym club that I call home!! I moved to Miami from France, i wanted to start a new life so I decide to start to go to the gym for the first time in my life ! Crunch propose you a free 1Day pass, so I went there and I tried the boot camp class.. first sport session of my life and I enjoy it ! What a surprise ?!!! I didn’t feel the hour ! I was shocked ! Alex, one of the manager team is the most incredible coach that I’ve add since a long time ! Always here to push you too your limits with a lot of fun but also always a ear if you need to talk to, he will listen and give you his honest opinion. But most days he is taking his class and his coaches team to the next level! His reputation is stellar. This place is absolutely awesome ! You will find all the equipment that you looking for and there is a lot of classes sessions available ! I start without any gym past! I used to hate any sport activities and they really changed my vision of it and my body !!!! So thank you for that! The staff is super friendly! Big kisses to Francesca (Zumba coach) and Karine (pole dance coach)!!!!!!! I love you girls !! Thank you for everything ❤️❤️❤️

I have had the pleasure of training with Melissa C since October and truly cannot say enough good about my experience.  She is super organized, assists you in setting achievable goals and is diligent about tracking your progress. Since March, I have successfully... -Decreased my mile time -Lost 3lbs body fat -Increased bench press weight -Increased deadlift weight In addition to increasing the general difficulty of my workouts and overall fitness level! I would recommend her training program to anyone, whether they are a professional athlete or a beginner who has never exercised before.

Anthony Casagranda I will have you know I have had a VERY DISTURBING conversation with “Aria”. YOUR customer service agent. This lady has The most unprofessional and unpleasant customer service skills I have EVER in my life witnessed. This is extremely fortunate that you and the fellow staff would EVER allow an associate to speak with a complete stranger in the manner she did. After being hung up on twice and the back and forth of our conversation I am left in TOTAL DISBELIEF that a front desk associate has the Audacity to speak to a potential customer in this way. I am in butter shock. Her language and dialogue with myself was absolutely inappropriate and unnecessary. I was hung up on twice after I asked for two day trial… (As I would be interested in two classes before committing to Crunch) I was constantly talked over, and then laughed at over the phone… I was also rushed and told “I have people in front of me”; as if I needed to be rushed on the questions of the classes and benefits of Crunch.. It is completely OUTRAGEOUS to rush a potential customer for inquiring.. Wouldn’t you agree Anthony?? I was then lied to about the benefits and offers within the company at this time, as I had to double check online while on the phone with Aria and explain all you had on the website, and once I made this clear Aria then retracted. Aria CLEARLY needs more training on the business, the memberships and what it entails, the offers you hold months and MOST IMPORTANTLY How to speak to potential customers and phone etiquette in general. I told Ms. Aria (workin this morning on 6/25) that I am familiar with the company as my general manager referred me to Crunch because we receive a benefit for working in the hospitality field…And I am appalled at the service I received. Anthony, YOU, should completely grasp what is going on. Is this why your ratings are a low 3.5 on google and lower on all other platforms?? There needs to be a serious conversation with your staff and how they treat or speak to complete strangers who are interested or inquiring about the benefits of buying a gym membership at Crunch fitness. The associate Aria seems ENTITLED to her position and has given me the most unfriendly, unhelpful, and distasteful, service I have witnessed in an extremely long time. I would like to speak with you directly as soon as possible.

This is an exccelnt gym to work out at. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable and the facilities are very well maintained and clean. They could use a few more clips for the bars.

The gym was a great and warm experience from the customer service that was provided by Michael in the front desk. The equipment was top notch. The staff was very friendly and the gym was clean very pleasant smell it did not have that sweat smell that most gym's have. Will recommend.

Horrible experience. Signed up for free day pass as we are new residents trying to find a home gym, got told it's in fine print residents only. Mind you that the fine print is only after you give them your email and sign up. Horrible business practice. As we go in the older gentleman at the desk was not only rude but had the personality of a snail. 170.00 for such a small gym with outdated equipment seamed steep as other crunches are 15.00, No spray bottles offered for wiping the benches down. Well as new residents they loss future clients with their poor business practices. And as ibread all reviews seams all the issues are similar and the owners don't care. I'm sure they will reply to this with there email and a pitty apology. Moving on to the next gym to give my business. Fire the old man at the desk maybe busines will pick up

Front desk employee Adam is the best. He always says hello and goodbye to members whether he’s busy or not. Most other Front Desk employees are not as friendly.
