It is definitely the nicest part of south beach if you want less noise and less party crowds. The sand is better as well. Nikki Beach is very close if you want to grab some coffee to go or get a drink and come back to the beach. There is a Starbuck within few minutes walking distance 😁

This beach is stunning and possibly my favorite beach in the U.S. I love very specific details about the water and waves of various beaches, so here are mine: At low tide, the water is warm, calm and shallow with gentle lapping waves - you can go out for about 100 yards and still only be to your waist. It’s almost like a lake, but with velvety sand and crystal clear, sparkling aqua water. At high tide (yellow flag conditions) the waves are a bit more vigorous but still with a manageable break. Once you pass the break, it’s quite fun to bob around in the waves and swim. When we have gone in June and July, there was minimal seaweed and it didn’t bother any of us. No saragassum. There are beach vendors selling juice, drinks and waters. Most hotels offer chairs, cabanas and umbrellas. Pics/reviews are specifically at the north of South Pointe beach, by the beach gym.

Very clean, well kept beach! Felt very safe there was security patrolling the area this is a smoke-free beach. I was able to walk from the beginning of the beach by the street all the way to the water without my shoes didn't have any rocks. They keep the beach well kept. You can also rent beach chairs and right across the street there are plenty of eateries, live music, dancing and fun. It is a good place to take a walk, walk a pet, ride a bike or just enjoy the scenery. There is a workout accessible area for everyone.

We just moved here and already regret we didn't move sooner than when we reached our late 30's. The atmosphere and vibe in South Beach is beyond magical. We parked on 18th Street and walked the strip. During the night it's like it's own little country. The city literally never sleeps. So many people, so many shops, and a ton of food to choose from. The island itself was really cool to see. The different style boats really outlines the dynamics and culture that the city provides. Didn't run into one negative Karen or Nancy lol. Everyone was really laid back and keeping to themselves as if they were lost in the twilight zone. Highly recommended. Family safe!

Really Good! You have a lot of parking possibilities around! There are a lot of parks around - also very children friendly (4 families...). ;) Supplementary: There is the 'cuban quarter' around you can easy walk 2 the World Famous Ocean Drive. Just do it!

Breathtaking views, perfect for a walk along the beach. Felt like magic seeing the sun peek through the clouds for sunrise.

Beautiful beach. I caught the sunrise during a weekday and not busy at all. A few couples together, people doing yoga, and about two photo shoots but nothing disturbing. I was actually able to take a good nap after the sunrise. Until the kids started to come then it got louder of course. Showers right outside the park by the pier to rinse sand off. They were cleaning the beach shortly after I got there. The machine was loud but could appreciate clean sand. Would definitely visit this less crowded side of the beach again

Beautiful! Beautiful place😍 this beach is so clean, and the water so crystalline. It has a park steps away and public restrooms as well. Also, you can see the cruises πŸ›³, boats and merchant navy so close to the pier. It has a waterfront walkway that is very enjoyable. This is so far one of my favorite beaches in Miami.

Beautiful beach. Always crowded, but there is still enough place for kids to play football and some entertainment. Self prepared beach chairs are recommended. The beach bed with a name Nikki Beach on it needs to pay $100.

Just a beautiful place. Tidy, clean, well maintained, busy but not overwhelming. Just a stunning place in the world.

Beautiful beach and lovely park for kids, however, we had to leave early today bc of the Portuguese man o war jellyfish that had drifted onto the beach by the 100s. We are on a cruise and unfortunately only had this chance to go there, so I was sad we had to leave.

Very nice - clean and well kept, but potentially not as family friendly as some of the beaches further north.

Must visit during Miami visit. Enjoyed it. No entry fee. But hard to find a paid parking spot during holidays

Loved our time spent on the beach! Wasn’t very crowded, had a good spot to nap all day. Bathrooms weren’t far away so easily walkable. Overall 10/10!!

This was the most beautiful beach I have been to in a long time. I loved the walk to get there through the park and seeing all the palm trees. The beach was not overly crowed nor dirty. I enjoyed that you can rent areas and umbrellas for shade. the water was great and saw some blue jelly fish come on shore. The only thing that is missing in this area is a shower to wash off the sand but besides that there is tons of shops and restaurants in the area to visit. the sand is super soft and the water is so clear!

South Beach gets busy pretty quickly. We were there on a holiday very early before sunset. The jogging trail is nice and lots of people came to see the sunrise on the beach. There was a good amount of trash, which was sad and annoying. If not for the trash, it would be a very nice beach.

The beach is beautifully maintained; sunrise / sunsets are wonderful to look at. It would be great if people tidied after themselves though. The white sands make the beach very beautiful

Beautiful public beach. Parking can be tricky, but crowd was small midweek. Lots of seaweed, but made the most of it.

Great beach! This was our very first time visit to a beach in Miami and it was a great choice. There was a surge of seeweed coming up the shore which was the only minor inconvenient but we were able to enjoy the day at the beach. Loved this place and will come back.

I would give 4 stars because water in north beach is better, and there are more showers

My favorite beach part in Florida. I swam here both during sunrise and sunset. The water here was perfect temperature during those times during the month of June. The water is clean, warm, with smooth waves. I was able to float on my back while watching the sky without interruption since there weren’t as many people during those times. There’re also sand bars there so you can go pretty far into the ocean while still being chest level. This is my idea of what a paradise beach should be like.
