If I could give less than zero stars, I would. What an absolutely terrible experience! We paid $190.97 to shower. Construction was going on in the room directly above us the ENTIRE time. I couldn't even sleep for an hour! We tried switching rooms, but of course they were full. We weren't even the only ones to complain. The front desk said to call in and ask for a refund because they are unable to do that or even offer a discount of any kind. We called in, and it took them over 10 minutes to find our account because they entered in the name incorrectly. After they finally found our account, we were told they couldn't do anything and we had to call financing on Monday. We asked if they could please correct the name and leave notes, so it was an easy transition. But guess what? This time they just couldn't find our account AT ALL. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE, NOT EVEN TO SHOWER OR SET YOUR CLOTHES DOWN. Customer service couldn't even answer our questions or offer any kind of help. The final option was just calling our bank. I understand needing to follow "company rules," but this place seriously stinks. It's not even clean.

We stayed here for less than 24 hours in order to catch an early morning flight and trust me had we needed to stay any longer we wouldn’t have lasted. First of all the hotel like the airport is very dated and dingy and have me roach motel vibes. There are double windows in the rooms and the exterior window is completely frosted, not sure if intentionally or from layers of soot, so you can’t see out. It also just so happened that their cable wasn’t working so could only get 4 channels to come through with 1990 image quality. Based on previous reviews looks like it’s been out for a while. Mind you I’m traveling with kids so the only thing they could do to entertain themselves were to chase each other around the room. Should have made them keep their shoes on, the soles of their feet were BLACK with dirt! And please do no lose anything behind the nightstand. It was incredible the amount of dust and dirt I pulled up by trying to reach a cable I dropped. I seriously could not believe the neglect! Finally thought I’d take a shower. The water pressure was amazing, so much so that the drain couldn’t keep up so you literally have to shower and bathe at the same time. And worst of all somehow in the middle of my shower the cold water shuts off completely for a brief second leaving nothing but scolding hot water, I nearly jumped out of the shower! Left a red mark on my thigh. The beds were uncomfortable and loud anytime you moved, I wasn’t trying to sleep anyway. Still tempted to ask for a refund!

There are no blankets on the bed, sheets only, and they don't fit the bed, fitted sheet keeps popping off. Dirty, this is what I imagine prison is like. Ugly, tacky throughout. Old commercial toilets that sound like a jet engine. The TV barely works, looks like it's going to burn out in the next 5 minutes it's so dim. There's no way to adjust the screen. It brings me back to the 1980s TV that I should have replaced 5 years earlier. Ugly and tacky. Oh, and the thermostat for heat/ac is from the 60's with no temperature markings, and the system is loud. The room smells, likely the old dirty carpet. Entry door is falling apart and has many visible screw repairs in it to keep it together. Tons of peeling paint and damage to furniture. Wonderful window view, see pic. Set shower temp colder than you like it, it could scald you at any moment! Positive note: If they ever renovate, there is no need to try to save anything. Nothing worth saving. Very depressing!!!! Stay anywhere else!!!!!!

I am giving a very generous 2 rating. The room was adequately clean. The entire place needs a serious update. I've stayed at more modern Super 8's on the interstate nowhere. We were able to clearly decipher the conversation next door due to paper thin walls. Was thrilled it was only conversation! Haha The check in staff was pleasant and accommodating. But there was quite a long line... took over 10 minutes to check in. WAY overpriced at $300/night. I guess they can take advantage of the captive audience of exhausted travelers.

I can definitely see why you get higher reviews as your location is important and your front desk staff efficient, welcoming, and easy…. Your rooms …. Or our room at least is quite dismal and disappointing. For over $350 for the night, we don’t have enough room to open 2 suit cases without challenge… I’m grateful I am able to have a room as many don’t tonight…. Yet this is Miami international airport and I have to say…. Wow… pretty big disappointment room wise… kudos and thanks though to front desk staff at midnight! They were wonderful

We got in really late and just wanted to rest and reset before leaving the airport so this seemed like a solid option. What a mistake this was! First of all, while the hotel is technically in the airport, it’s a very long walk from arrivals and it keeps you second guessing the whole way as there is absolutely no signage until you are just steps away. Once we found it, the check-in process was easy enough and the front desk looked modern and gave the impression things were updated and taken care of. We got our key, got on the elevator and away we went. When we got off of the elevator, it was then that we were transformed into a very different place… The moment we stepped off of the elevator and we were greeted by that old hotel smell and the carpet to go with it. After the long walk to the hotel, we dropped our stuff in the room and went off to find some water. I was expecting some sort of lounge area with minimal amenities like I don’t know, maybe a water cooler? Instead they had just a single vending machine on each floor. The one on our floor wasn’t working so I attempted to go to the next floor to get water but this machine was sold out. Eventually I find a floor that was several levels above us with a (somewhat) working vending machine where I was able to purchase some bottles of water. I paid for 3 and got only 2 but I didn’t even care at the time as hydration was inevitable. After returning to the room with water to find only 3 flat pillows and only decaf coffee, we attempted multiple times to contact the front desk through the phone in the room. No one ever picked up. The room itself wasn’t that bad aside from being terribly outdated. The bathroom had a recent remodel but they definitely went on the cheap side as there were many corners cut. From the ledge built just above the sink faucet (making it difficult to use) to the ancient toilet. If you get close to the walls you could see all of the bumps from repair work that was just plastered and painted over again and again. The shower had hot water but it would turn to scalding hot randomly. The list goes on…. There was something very creepy and off about the vibe at this hotel. That combined with the fact that I never saw another person in the entire place, gave it some real horror movie vibes. Overall, I will give it two stars because I believe it was better than the alternative option - sleeping on the airport floor.

Whoever gave this MOTEL five stars is out of their mind! This is by far the worst “hotel” I have ever stayed in. The rooms are over priced (at over $280 plus tax), outdated, and dirty. We felt so uncomfortable taking a shower and wouldn’t even let our bare feet touch the floor. There’s an unidentifiable odor from the time you step into the elevator and stains on the wall. My daughter was tapping her foot on the carpet and dust filled the air. Please don’t waste your time or money coming here. There are plenty of hotels and resorts nearby for way less money. If we didn’t have such a short turnaround time I would’ve sacrificed the money I paid and went somewhere else. I’ll take the ‘L’ on this one- you live and you learn. This truly deserves 0 stars but you need them to place a review.

To spend a night without leaving the airport is OK but no more than that. The room needs updating. I had some difficulty with the shower due to my size. The TV is limited to a few channels and some channels don't work too well.Apart from, very good welcome at the reception. Very courteous staff. I liked the color of the range of toilets offered.I didn't have a good view from my room unfortunately so I couldn't really enjoy my window. But, being located at the hotel, you have a range of restaurants at your disposal and no risk of missing your flight. But if you plan to spend more than one evening, it would be good to go elsewhere and enjoy the city a little.

Luxury hotel pricing for essentially a Motel 6. Walls are paper thin. Door frame not sealed, allowing light to come in from hallway for about half of the door. Scalded in the shower every time another room flushed a toilet. Rooms are incredibly small. WAY TOO MUCH air freshener! What are they hiding? Shockingly, the beds and pillows are fairly comfortable. The staff was average, at best. Will likely never come back. Too many other hotels with convenient shuttles - negating the biggest factor for this hotel. When you pay this kind of money, you expect MUCH better.

Nice that it was in the airport and the service was great. The rooms themselves are a bit rough. I didn't expect it to be fancy but if someone really wanted to get through that door they could have easily just kicked it in. The door was loose, there was a gap so you could easily slide something through, and the top lock was loose (one of the screws just screwed into a hole in the door and didn't attach to anything. Also the shower will get scalding hot anytime someone in the city of Miami flushes a toilet.

The location is priceless- and even though we had a short overnight layover I am really happy we did not spend the night in the terminal. It did not look especially clean or safe out there. The hotel serves its purpose and the check in is very quick and easy. But it is not nearly as nice as the airport hotels in Orlando or Chicago. The room is extremely basic. But I did feel safe and the bed was good enough. We had a 5am Southwest flight and it took 5 minutes to get to check in. It was SO convenient.

We had booked our room 3 weeks before we needed it. The location was great it was near the cruise port that we will be going to the following day. And also right near the Miami Airport. They had a restaurant and we were able to order food. The bed was very comfortable and it had all the essentials you needed such as a refrigerator microwave ironing board and iron. The next morning we were able to have a continental breakfast which also was pretty good. The staff were all very nice and the entire place was very clean. The next morning they offered us a shuttle bus to the cruise port Terminal. The driver gave us a card to call on a return and he would pick us up at the airport on all it was a great experience for what we needed to accomplish to YouTube please terminal

Rundown hotel with completely incompetent and apathetic employees. 45 minute line to check in. Three times my key didn't work. Given a new room, which had never been cleaned. Third room clean, but only decaf coffee. Beds and pillows are terrible, hallways have badly scuffed walls and dirty carpets. No apology, no concern. Used to stay here frequently, but it just keeps going down hill. No longer my concern. Will never come back.

This airport exceeded my expectations! The staff was friendly and efficient, security was quick, and the facilities were clean and modern. There are plenty of food and shopping options, and the flight departure board was easy to navigate. Overall, a stress-free travel experience. Five stars!

Don't forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your hotel. This web site will compare hundreds of booking websites and normally will have rates much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of the most well known in this area. I've been staying here for years. If you stay for a few nights you won't be disappointed. The accommodation was so amazing. I missed my flight and the airline got me checked in to a room overnight. I was greeted with a smile and a friendly welcome, provided me with any toiletries I needed and made sure I was had everything. The room was clean, fully stocked and the bed was so comfortable. I enjoyed my stay so much

This is one of the worst hotels I've stayed at. The location and service were good. Then the nightmare begins... you hit the elevator, and once you're on the floor, it looks like you're straight out of Hostel part 4. Low lights, that musty smell of old wet carpet, mildew on the walls and ceiling. The room was no different, musty smell coming from the ac unit, just felt wet the entire time. For the amount you're paying, this should be a 4-5☆ hotel. It's a .5 at best.

Only good thing about this place is the convenient location. Rates are too high for what you get. Parking is not cheap and hotel does not provide. Must pay airport fees. Rooms are very old and run down. Had to wait 30 minutes to get the door open by maintenance. Battery inside the door lock needs replacing. I could have stayed nearby in a newer hotel for less money and will definitely do so next time I travel through Miami.

The 5 star reviews have to be either scripted bots writing positive reviews or people with extremely low standards. What you pay for is just the convenience of being right inside the airport and being close to a few restaurants to pick from. Like many others, the room is extremely dated, floor feels disgusting and gross, no refrigerators so make sure you don't bring any perishables. There is some strange odor in the hallways that makes you feel a bit unpleasant. I'm probably not going to stay here unless I'm desperate for a room and boarding time is really early in the morning. UPDATE: The bathroom fan doesn't work. Guess I'm going to bathroom in the airport.

I’d give zero stars if that was an option. 1. This hotel is so dirty. Walls and carpets are disgusting, mold in the bathroom. The overwhelming smell of urine and smoke and mold. Windows don’t open so we were stuck with the smell. 2. The beds were uncomfortable. 3. The door was so flimsy, we were afraid someone could easily push it down. There was so much light from the hallways coming through the door cracks. 4. There were oddly no signs or directions anywhere in the airport to find it. Stay anywhere else!

Great location, attached to the airport which means airport view. Of note, no signage for the hotel at the airport. It's on Level 2 by door 11. Has WIFI. Non-smoking but nice little garden seating area across from door 11 to smoke or just sit outside. Comfortable bed and pillows. Has an assortment of body products, but I didn't use them. An old hotel that's been upgraded and not bad looking except carpets worn. Great reception staff. Clean towels and sheets. This room doesn't have a fridge but we didn't need it. Our bathroom drains backed right up. There was coffee for 1 only. Would I come here again? No, for the price I'd rather be somewhere else but worked after a long day of travel.

This is a great place to stay if you have no other choice or enjoy the thrill of possibly being murdered in your sleep. The location is amazing if you can find it behind Margaritaville. Don’t expect any help from GPS or any employees. You can expect the TV to show nearly 30 seconds out of every minute of live television. The other 30+ seconds will be “Channel not available (no signal)” - so it’s great for those who want to take a break from knowing things! The person next door was very vocal and audible for a while, but I think she’s dead from a self inflicted wound now so it’s entirely possible that you also could have a quiet night!

Extremely disappointing. No one answers the phone if you call for direction help, the bed was discolored and absolutely not posturpedic, or whatever they have on the website, there were black ants in the sheets, the TVs didn't work and the only thing they say is, "its all through the hotel". We booked this hotel inside the airport, so that i could spend as much time with my husband as I could because he deploys overseas in the morning. We would've been so much happier and better off at a hotel farther away with honest amenities. They promise so much on their website and other booking sites, but deliver so little, but you bet they'll take full price....

Very convenient. Location is great because you don’t need to leave the airport. The room was comfortable and sound proof. I was able to have a good night of sleep and feel rested for my flight the next morning. Very clean. Staff was kind and polite. The restaurant upstairs was good with decent prices.

Positives...staff is extremely friendly, and the convenience of walking from your room to your flight is a plus. As for the negatives, this place is EXPENSIVE versus nearby offerings. Secondly, the facilities themselves are outdated and honestly more on the run-down side. Finally, good luck finding this place if you don't do some digging online because there is ZERO signage pointing you to the hotel. If absolute convenience is your thing, this might be the place for you. In the future I'd rather stay off-property and take a complimentary shuttle from my hotel of choosing.

You’re basically paying for the location. This is a barebones kind of room from the mid 90s. Bed is lumpy. Hallway is super noisy. You can hear everything outside. The bathroom door can’t even close properly and the towels are barely better than sandpaper.

Went through here twice on our last trip. Very difficult to find hotel in airport and employees were rude and unhelpful when we kindly asked for directions becuase there are none posted. Also had the worst time finding our airline's check-in area. We went to the location where Spirit was supposed to be, but no one was there. We ask an employee, and they send us walking clear across the airport to the wrong location (with my BROKEN suitcase THEY broke.. my large, checked bag that my boyfriend and I share was very poorly treated and two wheels were completely broken on our first flight to our destination.. so I had to deal with this our whole trip while moving anywhere with the suitcase). Ask another employee, and we walk back the other way, down some stairs, and found it. The whole layout of this place is horrible- and I've been in many airports. It's outdated, dirty (The hotel especially- towels weren't washed, floor was dirty, room smelled like smoke, very creepy rooms overall. AND the hotel charged us $50 just to go into our room that was ALREADY "ready for us" because we were an hour early to check in). Security was a joke- took way too long for them to get people through and then they took items from us that were NOT prohibited- such as my medication, and my bf's empty water bottle. The first security lady I encountered, where you had them ID, was extremely rude to me and I hadn't even done anything- just walked up to her- but she was upset because she "wasn't ready for me to walk up yet." It honestly really took me aback to be treated that way by a stranger.. The employee at the station next to her saw this, and he took my ID and gave me an apologetic look for her behavior at least. I could go on about this place.. this was the worst experience overall at any airport. This place needs major updates, cleaning, and the employees were quite off-putting. Another thing- good luck if you're flight comes in at a later hour and you're wanting food. There's not much- Subway was the only thing open (The employees here were very slow and incompetent, but that's Subway's doing, not the airport I assume) and there was a huge, ridiculous line. It's an AIRPORT- people are coming and going constantly- how is there no food available? And the location makes it hard to just easily go get something elsewhere.

Few words can aptly describe how rundown and tired this hotel is. For $250 a night, one might opt instead to sleep on a terminal bench. From faded lime green walls to jail styled windows, the ambiance is a Hollywood murder mystery scene waiting to be filmed. To put it simply, this place is a dump and truly sucks. Even the lowest of standards would be repulsed by this dumpster fire.

Kind of a weird room layout. But the rooms were nice. Very clean. Location is goof IF you need a quick stay for the airport. It's not a vacation site. Nice restaurant and bar on the 6th floor. Lobby breakfast dining room was nice too.

One night stopover in Miami had us stay at the Hilton Blue Lagoon. It's close to the airport but it can take a while to get on the shuttle and over to the hotel. Despite it's proximity to the airport you don't get bothered by the airport noise. It was nice to get out to the pool and hot tub after our flight and watch the planes take off. There's a nice view across the lake of the sunset from the gazebo past the pool. The pool are and the rooms aren't in the best shape, but for a one night stopover it was fine. The service at the bar was great, the waiter providing many beer samples for choosing what I wanted to drink. Food seemed pretty good, but the breakfast experience in the morning wasn't great and quite expensive if not included in your room rate.

Our flight got cancelled and here we are in this hotel room provided by the airline. That’s the good part. The beds are in poor shape and too soft. The springs make noise at the slightest movement. There is a loud and sharp noise from the AC fan unit. Wish I had ear plugs. Decent sized room but the it smells bad.

This place will do if you just need somewhere to sleep for a few hours before your connecting flights. The windows are sound proofed, which is great because it's on airport property, but you hear everything in the hallway. The rooms have a fairly uncomfortable bed and a cramped desk and not much space for anything else. We weren't expecting much, but we got less than expected for the price tag.

  • 3/5 Lyd W. 6 months ago on Google
It's super expensive. Over $200 for their day rate (when you just need sleep between flights) Rooms are old & therefor seem/ feel dirty. Bed was comfortable. Room was quiet. Staff was super friendly

Biggest problem with MIA is that don't make flying a good experience for persons with issues using a wheelchair. When you arrive by bus transportation they tell you you need to get a wheelchair from the airline which is approximately a mile and a half from where you get dumped. If you can't walk you can plan on walking or stay home. Also the wheelchair attendance don't listen to you if you don't speak Spanish. They are only interested in the tips. South Florida airports are the worst for handicapped individuals. This is not my first experience here at MIA or Ft. Lauredale airport. They need to review policies.

The hotel is very old, the hallways are gross, and the rooms are a bit sketchy. You'd think for an airport hotel it would be well kept and nice...major negative. Not to mention a room with a king was $250 bucks. If I were you, I'd take the extra cash and get an Uber to little Havana neighborhood or elsewhere. I'll never stay here again. How this place got 4.5 stars? Maybe if you’re someone looking for a quickie?

One of the worst places I've ever stayed at and I stayed in a lot of places. This hotel is garbage for $200 a night. I've seen places on the side of the road look Better. The rooms had no heat. There was no manager on duty. This is the one at Miami. I don't can't speak for any other ones. But I can speak for the one at Miami International airport. Its garbage. Don't waste your money.

This hotel is a two-star hotel at best. The rooms look like barracks, very old and not very clean. The staff was nice, but basic things were not there. We were told since we checked in too late they were absolutely no cribs available. Even after we requested one ahead of time. If you're looking for a cheap place to sleep for the night this might be okay this might be okay.

Staff was awesome.. Shuttle was decent back and forth to airport.. They do need 2 rolling tho to handle people and less wait time.. My room on 8th was great no issues and had a decent view.. Bathroom is a little odd of a set up but I think it's cause of a refurbishment..

My 1st time at this airport. Nice airport. It was clean whereever I went. The food I got was so-so. I went to Nathan's because it was closest to my gate. The American Airlines staff I had to speak with concerning my ticket were very nice. But other staff at certain gates needed customer service lessons. My flight did not depart or land in time and they lost my luggage.

You get what u pay for here. Certainly convenient if you have a very early flight or long layover. Looks like it was built in the 70s-80s and hasnt been updated or renovated since. there's actually a pretty food restaurant upstairs u can eat and watch the planes takeoff and land. The rooms are also soundproof so you don't hear the planes at all. Clean enough and the convenience outweighs the negatives.

This was exactly what I needed in the middle of a long journey. Room was tidy and clean, bathroom was spacious, and I was able to take a nice, hot, relaxing shower. Front desk personnel were courteous and patient. Though the room was small, and trimmings/fixtures were a bit outdated, everything looked very nicely maintained and sanitized. Got a very good night's sleep to be ready for the next stage of my journey.

We were very happy with this hotel. It's convenient for an overnight at MIA, price is reasonable, staff is very pleasant, efficent, knowledgeable. The rooms are basic, and are clean and in good repair; they look like they haven't been remodeled since the 1960s, some may see this as a problem but I see it as really nostalgic. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

This is a very convenient option inside the Miami International Hotel. The hotel looks dated and the beds can be a bit too bouncy but our room seemed clean and it was very, very spacious. It is definitely a great option if you need to stay overnight waiting for a flight in the morning, although it is not very cheap. If I am in a similar situation in the future, I would not hesitate in getting a room here. If I have more time, there are better and cheaper options nearby.

We had a long day and an international leg of our trip required us to be up by 2:30am to catch an early flight. Location is excellent because we had no shuttle or taxi issues or time. Service at the front desk was efficient and nice enough. The room was sufficient and clean. At 9pm no hot water for a shower which was totally refreshing and breathtaking to say the least. The room was warm when we arrived but in time the AC worked well. It was quiet in our room even being at an airport. The hotel is tired and could use some makeup 😉

This airport looked like it was built small and then added too and added too a few times over.🤣 . It flowed smooth, the lines were long and the suitcase scanners were old so you had to take everything off to scan. Just FYI, no biggie. No new machines for such a busy location. Where all that airport tourism money going? Speed this process up already. . Every staff we spoke with was friendly and all the food and lounge spots were busy but friendly.

Similar to many I had a long day of travel solo with my 3 year old and had only planned to pass through Miami. The airline was less than helpful and my online reservation didn't go through to the hotel so when the price was provided to me I was a little shocked and trying my best to hold it together. I desperately tried to make another reservation online to cut some unexpected costs but with a nearly dead battery and an extremely tired toddler I said forget it and I'll pay full price. A gentleman working at the desk (I wish I had enough mental clarity at the moment to remember his name tag) was an absolute angel and was eventually able to help me out. He was able to assist me with pricing and I am so grateful to him. He literally made my entire day and I felt like I could breathe and nearly cried for his kindness. Thank you. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the walk to my gate in the morning was a breeze.

We chose to stay here so we would not have to worry about transportation from and to the airport with an overnight connection. So happy that we did, as our flight was effectively delayed by 2 hours with the airport shut down because of a thunderstorm. Room was exactly as described and as needed. Check in took a while but there were quite a few people checking in at the same time as us. Check out was easy. The only negative was that by time we checked in there was only a Subways open, but at least it was right next to the hotel lobby. Would easily make this choice again.

The only good thing about our stay was the location. The staff at check in was unhelpful even though they were not busy at all. I booked it a few months before my stay when breakfast was included but that has changed and was never relayed to us. The price didn't go down and was still about $250.00. The room was old and smelled of mildew, the AC was very old and kept the room around 79 degrees. The bathroom had 1 washcloth but 3 towels and a toilet with a broken handle. It's better than sleeping in the terminal... but not by much.

The location of the hotel was great considering we missed our flight due to a major delay leading us to have no where to stay. But our room was gross it smelled so bad. Almost like urine. The bed sheets and bedding didn’t smell good the towels didn’t smell good. Tbh I didn’t even want to sleep there. Way too over priced for the quality of the stay. It’s aggravating being on a plane all day and wanting to relax and get some rest and then dealing with poor room quality

Be very prepared to do lots of walking here. It's a large airport and your gate number changes frequently. However, there are many airport shops and eateries. Lots to do whilst awaiting your flight. You can even get a massage here! If you need to change currency or get sim cards, it can be done at the airport. I am not sure if there is a hotel here, but you can Google that if you need to.

Everything worked well. It took me only 15 minutes on migrations. The airport looks modern and it has clear signals. My plane got a gate far from migrations and I had to walk a long distance. It wasn't 100% clear that I coul take an air train to connect, when I saw it I had walked for 10 minutes. Just a detail. Good airport.

Be prepared for a $75-115/night hotel experience with only-hotel-in-the-airport prices. Upstairs is dingy and rusty. Desperately needs repainted, holes in the curtains, rust on the bathroom fixtures. Walls are too thin, you can hear everything. You're paying for convenience but all things considered this place should never cost more than $180/night total after taxes. Hope you get a deal.

Don’t believe any of these very doctored photos. What a dump! This place is acceptable, at best, if you’re stranded at the airport and need a place to sleep. Stayed for one night before a cruise and we assumed it would be easiest since we were a large group and had transportation from the airport to the port the next day. This place is dirty, it’s not the filthiest place you’ll find, but it’s not much better. Dust everywhere, window and mirrors haven’t been cleaned in days, the remote is covered is dirt/dust and the TV doesn’t even work! They post all over that they have Direct TV but if you get your tv to even come on you only get 4-5 channels and they are static covered. The AC barely works, the beds are lumpy, typical hotel overly soft pillows It might actually be better to just sleep on a bench in the airport.

Where to begin … first of all, good luck finding this hotel. There are zero signs anywhere and we asked 3 different airport staff and even they didn’t really know where it was. Secondly, the rooms are beyond old and outdated. The paint is peeling, the carpets are frayed and dirty, the door was stuck and my husband had to body-check the door to get it open. The air conditioning is a joke and we got only 3 flat, worn out pillows on the bed. The only good thing about this place is that it’s super convenient when you have a very early flight. Honestly, how this hotel has a 4 star review is beyond me. Spend a little extra and stay in the Sheridan across the street.

Miami Airport is a beast to navigate on the best of days. However, lately the tram/train thingy has been out of operation for awhile. As it was for my flights outbound and inbound. Staff did their best to accommodate those of us needing assistance. It was easy outbound since my arriving flight and connecting flight were in the same terminal. However, inbound returning to the states from international flight was a nightmare. Several flights arrived at the same time, which made the lines for passport control outrageous. Even the wheelchair line took us about an hour to get through. I wish I could personally thank and tip my attendant for getting me through, hailing down an accessibility vehicle to whisk me to my gate exactly in the knick of time before they closed the plane doors... They had me zooming so fast, I didn't get a chance to do anything let alone get a name. But I am ever grateful for that team. Others traveling in my party were not so lucky and missed their connections due to super long distance from the customs to their gates. MIA we really need you to do better PLEASE!!!
