    I like the store and the products they offer. However, the customer service and experience is terrible. I was charged the wrong price for an item and if I hadn't checked or spoken up, I would've paid $20 more. The cashiers evidently hate their job and will rudely tell you to leave since the store is closed or closing. They don't warn you the store is closing, they just tell you the store is closed in a rude demeanor. They also don't wear uniforms and I can never tell who is working there or not. They're super short staffed and sometimes the cashier section is empty and you have to wait for someone to check you out. It seems only two people are working at any given time. Management needs to re-train their team on how to carry out great customer service.

    They don't take care of their reptiles that they are selling! Its evil! They had 2 leopord geckos in a tank, one of them had dropped its tail, it was skinny, malnourished and dying. It was so sad to see. They are feeding them mealworms not dusted in calcium. Literally, all their reptiles looked unhealthy and had stuck shed

    DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOGS HERE WHEN DOING THE RENEWAL of the Miami Dade County Licensing - THEY WILL NOT REGISTER IT WITH THE CITY AND THEN YOU WILL END UP WITH A Violation Notice from the COUNTY and pay $230 fee BECAUSE VET that visit this facility ONCE a year won't do their job and once I called the store they don't have an answer because the "vet is not there" OR take my complaint on file. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND THE BAD TIME!

    Went yesterday for grooming for my pet and what a disappointment. The lady groomer wasn't polite at all her name is Ari . She didn't look like she wanted to be there. When was time to pick my pet I ask how did it go . She said you should definitely bring him on week days because he barks too much . Umm 🤔 what does that even that mean he's a dog he barks . I don't understand if you don't like animals don't get the job . Never again.

    I had a terrible experienced. Stephanie (grooming manager) should be working the back of the store, dealing with the merchandise. This young lady has terrible customer service and a condescending attitude. The money that you pay for the service is not worth the aggravation. Over priced and took for ever. Disorganized and to be honest if the service was friendlier i wouldn’t mind paying for it. She should not be representing the store or the company. Never coming back for grooming services. Her presence is a disservice to other employees there.

    I really like the fish care that the guys in the fish section give. Also puppies up for adoption on Saturday mornings are awesome. My girls love going. If you find this review helpful in any way please thumbs up the review! 👍🏼😉

    Petco is a wonderful pet supply store , unfortunately the personnel & management at this store is not . Walked in for a pick up , waited at the register for over 5 minutes, store was empty, finally saw a person ( positive it was the manager) asked if she could help me, with a face of pure disgust, helped a customer before me, did not say a word, apologize for the wait, I asked her why are you being so rude, did not even respond, went to get my order , I again said to her why are you being so rude, then she turned around and said you want me to cancel your order? I asked her name, did not respond, gave me my order , turned and walked away , I asked the other 2 employees ( who miraculously then appeared ) her name. They stared at me with a blank face , no response. The woman ( manager) turned around and told them if you give her my name you are fired. They said well she’s our boss sorry . There are 2 other Petco locations on S Dixie hwy. go there. This location is horrible.

    I bought staff for my pet $45 Cashier asked me if I want to buy a bag for 10 cents to put the cat staff in a bag 🤯 It is ridiculous and Bad service why they want to charged your for a bag ?? I had to take staff in my hands. If they asks me to donate $$ for abandoned dogs or cats I will but pay for a bag ?? Not good !! Better service is at south Miami store.

    management was attentive and didn’t try and help you when you were in the store. Then had a problem being all the prices on the shelves were wrong and improperly placed someone had to manually adjust the prices

    Store was clean, I did my order online and pick it up and the employee not sure is He was the Manager was friendly and I decide to see something else for my cockatiel but the prices was cheaper online than the store when I ask the female cashier about the prices her attitude was excellent and told me they can do price match witch I ended buying the product and I appreciate when employees help the business to get the goals thanks.

    Every time I come to this store to spend more than $100 dollars is chaos. No one to find to ask a question or nobody at the cashiers. I had to asked for a cashier to cash me out while she saw me at the cash register but is now importa let to get the fishes in containers that to cash out a costume and then asked to pay for a plastic bag? Oh no no no. This is too much for me to take. I feel I'm in a communism country charging for everything.

    I purchased a baby corn snake from this petco a few weeks ago and when I took her to the vet today I was surprised to see she was infested with parasites and in horrible health, when I called petco their only response was “we can take her back” without any responsibility whatsoever for selling me a miss-treated sick animal. Boo petco

    I wish all businesses were ran like how Andres runs this store. Incredible service and attention to his products and inventory. I asked if he had a popular product in stock that by all means should have been sold out because of the excellent deal they had, and without hesitation he went and checked for me and came back with the very last one. And let me not forget Justin who assisted with ringing me up and collaborating with Andres to get me the product.

    Camila, the groomer, is very sweet and I’m sure she treated my dog with care. I had a golden doodle with precious hair and the front desk person claimed that he was matted by his legs. She wanted to charge $1 a minute to brush my dogs hair and said it would take MINIMUM an hour. That’s an extra $60 on top of the $60 bath and groom that he was getting. I have NEVER paid $120 to groom my dog and his hair has not been any different with the other groomers. So I told front desk that I wouldn’t be paying the brushing and to just lightly trim what was needed. I picked up my dog and he was COMPLETELY shaved. NEVER have I EVER gotten my dog back like I did at Petco. I believe it was a sign of pure LAZINESS that they didn’t want to take the time to brush my dogs hair and settled with just shaving it all off. Never taking him back.

    The association giving our Yorkie the grooming service was so kind and sweet! She was also patient and very communicative with everything she did in the service. Very satisfied overall, will be bringing him back for his next grooming, thank you Petco

    I don’t normally write reviews but I just want to give the team a big thank you, I got help from multiple employees today, including a groomer! She helped just because she owned cats and was knowledgeable. They recommended me great products and thanks to them I was able to fix the problems I was having with my cat. Again thank you so much and I will definitely be returning to this Petco!

    Loved the crew that worked at night, really helpful and friendly. Got a few bags of cat food on sale, the store is well organized, and animals on display for adoption/buying looked healthy and taken care of.

    “VITAL CARE SCAM” One of the employees signed me up for vital care approximately two months ago I was not aware, nor was I told that it is a one year subscription. I was sold on it being a monthly subscription I recently wanted to cancel my subscription due to not using it anymore and I was told that I am locked in for a year. Nowhere on the big billboard in the store Does it say that it has a one year subscription nor did the employees tell me this. So unless you’re willing to be locked into a one year subscription with auto renewal be careful.

    It is a good store, whenever I visit through, I usually dont many animals up for adoption, so if you’re looking to adopt another petco would probably be a good choice. otherwise its a small but well stocked store, i usually go to get cat litter from the big refillable display they have

    I always love this place. Staff is always helpful. I'm happy that the trainer returned back to work. I was surprised to not to see any hampsters, gerbils or any small friendly pets. I was told that they a quick sellers and the delivery truck is every Friday.

    DO NOT KEEP BETA FISH IN SMALL CONTAINERS!! The poor things had fin rot and their containers were dirty. If you want a half dead beta fish, it's a great place to get one

    Sales personnel try to avoid you when you need help. I felt that I was treated poorly, hasty and almost like they were doing me a favor. Manager at this location on Kendall drive is not much better she’s picking her own fish while I am made to wait for her to talk with the sale associate even though I was there first. It’s Just ridiculous very poor management.

    Hands down best experience at any Petco I’ve ever had. Derick is amazing, He answered all our questions and was incredibly attentive. Can’t remember the young lady who checked us out but she was also very sweet. In a time when customer service has almost been lost it so refreshing to receive attentiveness, especially when your spending a lot of money on caring for your animals. Please ask for Derick if you need help at Petco’s Kendall location, he is awesome!
