Great place to take kids and anyone interested in photos. Lots of primary colors with designs from multiple inspirations. Obviously, Florida and Miami topics rule, Calle Ocho, flamingos, and dolphins, but you can find diverse ideas like the Great Wave and cubism. The entrance is free but you have to pay the parking. Bring lots of water and sunscreen, it was hot and was not even noon.

Colorful walkway with lots of dog and cat sculptures. It's a nice stroll with kids and your dogs (or cats, if you manage to walk them). I can give them 5 stars because they don't actually have that many different kinds of dog breeds. Many are just the exact same sculpture painted with different patterns. And there is no beagles, or corgis, etc.

Don’t bother going at night. You won’t be able see anything unless you take pictures with flash or use your flashlight.

Our next family adventure take us to Dogs and Cats Walkway and sculptures opened on February 11, 2023, Located at Maurice A, FerrΓ© Park, in Downtown, Miami, this outdoor exhibition gallery of art, created and painted by local artists this exhibit have 52 oversized aluminum sculptures of 26 dogs and 26 cats painted by local artists, and intended to portray the special role pets play in our lives. With beautiful garden made up of perennial flowers, hibiscus, palm trees and other South Florida native plants, the one-acre garden which was carefully curated by Artistic Director, Miguel Ferro, offers the community an opportunity to appreciate and connect with art and nature plus spectacular views of Biscayne Bay. It is an open-air show at no cost in which you can enjoy this sculptural creation with friends and family. Recommended if you are visiting Miami and like art and love about pets, this is the place you should come.

If you love dogs, cats, art or any combination thereof, you will love this outdoor art exhibit at the Maurice A. Ferre Park in Miami. We decided to stop by and kill some time on our way to the cruise port, and this was definitely worth the stop. There are more than 50 oversized dog and cat sculptures, all decorated by local artists. So neat to explore the theme and details on each sculpture.

Nestled in the heart of a culturally rich area, surrounded by various museums, the Dogs and Cats Walkway and Sculpture Gardens offer a delightful retreat for art and animal lovers alike. As you enter the gardens, you are greeted by a charming array of sculptures, each depicting various breeds of dogs and cats in whimsical poses. These artistic creations, ranging from realistic to abstract, add a unique flair to the green landscape. The walkway itself is beautifully maintained, with lush greenery and flowering plants lining the path. Benches are strategically placed, allowing visitors to sit and admire the art or simply enjoy a moment of tranquility. The garden's layout encourages a leisurely stroll, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing afternoon. One of the highlights is the interactive aspect of some sculptures, where visitors, especially children, can engage directly with the art. It’s not just visually appealing; it’s an experience that touches on playfulness and curiosity. Another noteworthy feature is the garden's dedication to promoting local artists. Many sculptures are the work of talented artists from the surrounding area, showcasing a diverse range of styles and materials. This commitment to supporting the local art scene is both admirable and enriching for the community. The proximity to museums makes it an ideal spot to unwind after a day of exploring. Whether you're an art aficionado, a pet enthusiast, or simply seeking a peaceful escape from the city's hustle and bustle, the Dogs and Cats Walkway and Sculpture Gardens is a must-visit. Its blend of art, nature, and community spirit makes it a unique and memorable destination.

While the park is innovative, they could add more breeds by eliminating multiples of the same breeds of some.

Honestly, this was the best part of being in downtown Miami. Just happy happy joy joy moments looking at local artists work on cats and dogs. Bravo to for those that elevated the Swiss Cow, the Berlin Bears, Seattle pigs to the Miami Cats and Dogs.

The walkway is beautiful. An amazing rendition to different breeds. Of course there are many breeds missing but that’s not the point. It’s a truly beautiful sculpture garden that I’m proud of.

Such an amazing park to spend a free time. Very beautiful place with colorful sculptures and flowers. I personally love dogs and cats, and always try to feed stray cats. Especially at South Point there are about 10-12 cats by the water, living under the big stones and bushes. I was amazed my seeing sculptures of Miami stray cats with theirs names in this Park. Such a nice idea of making this type of park!

The Dogs and Cats walkaway and sculpture gardens in Miami. This was an amazing educational/interactive exhibition, we just bumped into it, without knowing it was there. You need around 10-15 minutes to go around the sculptures, we did it in 7-8 minutes since we were in hurry. The garden itself is in the Ferre Park and is surrounded by palm trees, hibiscus and other native South Florida plants, with Miami skyscrapers in the background. Amazing for taking photos.

Unique art presented in a unique way. Each sculpture is based on a specific pet. They each have a scannable QR code that takes you to a video about that dog or cat. The artists are really able to express both themselves and the animals they are painting. There are duplicates of breeds and plenty of "street cats" but it's still an absolute pleasure to walk through these sculptures. I definitely recommend it, but bring a hat, there's not much shade.
