    If I could give 0 stars I would. We waited an hour for our food for them to not even acknowledge us in the front. They would walk by, look at us and keep walking. It’s a ghetto manager and kids working. No wonder this place is trash. Wanted a quick place to stop, was very wrong picking here. Trash food, trash customer service, and trash people. This lady here though deserves her own award of being fired. We politely told her about our experience and she told us she didn’t care rolled her eyes and locked the window. She has kids watching her moves and this is how she leads??? Disgusting. If you don’t like your job, get a different job. Take the advice on your poster, get a better attitude or you’re not going anywhere.

    It's after midnight. Out riding bike. Stopped in for a banana shake. Love there shakes and fries. Always great food and great prices. Make sure to have a couple extra bucks to give to the homeless that hang around. Better yet buy them a meal. Love your nabour.

    Checker’s is normally amazing, I’m a frequent visitor, and an avid fan! This particular venue is the pits. The staff are just the rudest I have experienced. Waited over 15 minutes at the window, staff knew customers were there but chose to ignore them, it was 11am, and quiet at the time. Check out the photos of the outdoor dining area. Staff just don’t care!! I would do your best to avoid. Go to a different Checker’s.

    This checker is very slow in unprofessional. I went there to pick up delivery’s in not once somebody opened the window to service me but constantly play around. I waited 30 long mins just to cancel my DoorDash delivery for poor n lack of service.

    If you want to wait for well over an hour in the drive through when there’s only two cars in front you definitely come here! Bring a book, a lawn chair, a sleeping bag, a Coleman Family tent, and also let your work know that you didn’t resign, you just starved to death because they can’t make 2 chicken nuggets in a timely manner. Mom if you’re reading this,, I love you and I’m sorry I couldn’t make it to Christmas, I starved to death.

    This disgusting restaurant is serving moldy buns and have the nerve to say if they saw it they wouldn’t have served it. The fact they have no food quality control and can serve this nasty food. Then the cook got crazy with me because I was irate that I bit into a moldy burger. Checkers better hope I don’t get sick because there will be a lawsuit.

    First let's start that I was in line by myself, then the computer comes on ask me what I want. It didn't understand me so it told me that it was getting a team member to assist me. 10min went by no one came to the microphone. So I pulled off and as I'm driving by the window ,I see a lady just standing there on her phone. That made me even more angry. So service SUCKS!!!

    Okay, first of all; the system to take orders wasn't working at the window. So they said they were only accepting drive-thru and online orders. We were like, cool. So, we placed an order online while standing there. It took about 30 min to get our food. Now, the food was OLD and hard. The burger and the fish patties were NOT fresh at all. Of course, we had a to-go order, so we didn't know until we got back to our room. The meat was dry, the fish was hard, and the fries were not hot. The only good thing about our order were the drinks. I would not go there again and would not recommend.

    UPDATE: They commented and asked me to reach out (which I did) and have yet to get a response or call back from corporate. This will not be the last time you hear from me. If I could give zero stars I would. This is how my chicken tenders came. Like someone took a bite out of it. Will be reaching out to corporate with this! Not to mention the lady who took my order was rude and kept rushing me.

    Sad because I love checkers so much, but this location literally always has something going on, one time I came and a worker came running outside telling me to not eat at this location because it’s disgusting and dirty inside and she would refuse to make me food in the condition it was in. The next time I came they had a robot as the person who takes your order, so I guess they got rid of her. Just came to this location now and the worker came outside to tell me the “system is down” and she doesn’t know how long it’ll take to come back up. I waited about 5 minutes and I see her + her coworker walk out of the back with food to go eat

    Waited over 10 minutes for a single sandwich and I saw many cars in the drive thru pass by with their order and mine wasn’t taken as priority. A guy came to the take out window asking me what was I waiting for and I said I was there waiting for over 10 minutes for a smoky bbq and his response was: what do yo want me to do? The cashier lady wasn’t pleasant either. Burger was great but customer service here is beyond terrible.

    I’d put zero if it would let me, PLACE IS FILTHY you can see it through the window. And the lady at the cash register on drive thru was not only rude, and careless, (she dropped my card and didn’t even bother to say anything just straight up turned around) she was eating something while giving me my food. My drink cup was all greasy from her eating her own food 🤮🤢 I had to wait like 5 minutes for her to give me ketchup and she also dropped that. Horrible service, I didn’t even care to eat my food they disgusted me. Note: I never leave bad reviews in fear of causing someone issues with their job. BUT PLEASE FIRE WHATEVER SHIFT COVERS TUEDAY NIGHTS !!!

    Visiting from out of town and saw this location and immediately became excited to see they were still operating. In our city they no longer operate there, so its become a memory of when we were young. Unfortunately despite ordering through Uber where you would expect everything to be made correctly, it wasn't. Not only did they kill our excitement, at $70 they also ruined dinner since we are budgeting. We ordered 5 of the $13 meal deals which were supposed to have cheese. None did. The staff packed all the burger with the fries into the same bag, smashing them all. They appeared less savory than a gas station microwave burger and were slighty colder than room temp. Patties were also brown and clearly old from sitting all day. The fries wilted and somehow lacked flavor even tho theyre preseasoned. All in all this experience killed a very fond memories of how delicious it used to be. We feel sorry for the residents who have to endure this service on a daily basis. Do not recommend

    We tried ordering from the window on a Sunday afternoon and a guy started making these gestures from the inside with an attitude. While it has become common for checker’s employees to provide the worst service ever, this one took “employee of the month”. As we decided to leave, we noticed there was a rat going into one of the garbage cans.

    Extremely Disappointing Experience: Despite being a first-time visitor to Miami and a potential customer to Cheekers, I encountered a situation that left a sour taste. Last Tuesday, I parked my car, which I rented in the Checkers’ designated Guest parking space for less than 5 minutes. Surprisingly, the towing guy promptly towed my car. Despite explaining that I had only left it briefly, he insisted that non-customers were not allowed to park, regardless of the duration. In an even more frustrating turn of events, when I requested to retrieve my belongings, including passports which were lifted in the car, he refused. I reached out to the rental company for guidance, only to receive information about the towing company. They gave me the information, and I went to the towing company place. Despite explaining the situation at the towing company, my justifications were dismissed, and I was forced to pay a hefty fine of $181.25. I strongly caution fellow travelers and diners to be wary of the Checker Restaurant's parking policies, as the consequences can be both costly and exasperating.

    Service was trash, dined with a couple of friends spent 50-60... Asked if toilet can be used as we are paying customer and was just shruggedoff and shut the window... Came back to re order chicken tender combo, was automatically upsized even if i wasnt asked and i did not request for it to be large or medium... Even asked if shouldnt it be juat a small? And was met with the response nah, comes with that when it clearly says otherwise on the menu.. Tendera came and the tenders were very soggy and looks like was dipped in cold very very used stale oil as seen in pic... Food at first was decent but one of the worst service ive had in a while.. re ordered food was terrible as well didnot finish

    Every time that young girl or lady work overnight, there is never ice-cream or shake or good service. Machine either broken, out of ice-cream or something else. I go at least 2-3 times a week and always same story.

    It took 20+ minutes to get four drinks. It seemed to be understaffed for the location, so idk. No one was overtly rude or aggressive, but they were very good at actively ignoring my car and the bazillion cars behind us. There's no escaping the drive-thru lane either, so once you're in line, you're trapped forever in eternal thirst. I mean, I understand having to wait when it's busy like that, but I'm not even counting the 20 minutes before we got to the window. I'm talking about how we got to the window, paid, got half of the drinks, and then had to wait 20 minutes for them to notice that the line wasn't moving to get the other two drinks. If you think I was overwhelmed, the staff was definitely overrun by the number of cars leaving the nearby venue. Management needs to plan ahead and give them more people for nights like this when the nearby concert venue is sold out. It's not like they were standing around doing nothing. Everybody was busy prepping food. It was just too much for too few staff, and that damned speaker robot was inefficient af. The cops were there at the beginning (Idk if customers out front were rowdy or if they were just getting food), and they held things up at the beginning of the visit.

    The worst checkers I've ever been to. The staff took 35 mins to give me a coke, 2 waters and an apple pie. It took ridiculously long with minimal traffic as we saw them serve up many others before us with their drinks and food. They ended up charging us for 2 apple Pies instead of 1 and didn't bother to heat it at all. I watched them just pull it out from a fridge, shake it in Cinnamon, and hand it to me. I also asked for an extra large drink with extra ice and they gave me a regular sized one with no straw and barely any ice. Shortly afterwards I saw one of my coworkers come back with a drink and straw sooner than me after having left much later for lunch. Don't waste your time on this terrible service.

    Messed up drive-through order completely. Then went to walk up window to re-order all the items drive-through attendant forgot and took 30 MINUTES start to finish for the walk up. Walk up attendant was taking her sweet ol’ slow as molasses time, choosing to open side door and hoot at her friends and others passing by.

    awful staffing situation. ridiculously understaffed and i know it's not the workers fault but damn. ordered ahead and it said order would be ready by 10:16 pm. waited over an hour to receive our food when we we're just trying to get a quick bite to eat before we had to be somewhere we had to leave without receiving our food. ridiculous.

    If you want cheap fast food that is a lot better than McDonald's then I recommend this place. Perfect stop right before the Miami Heat game. The service was fast and the people behind the counter were really nice. This location is in a part of town that is pretty busy so just watch out for a few of the homeless.

    I waited 30 mins at the walk up window to place an order. During this time, I saw many people were waiting ahead of me for their food to come out. One person kindly told them he had been waiting 45 minutes and needed to get back to work. We was cursed at and yelled at that he had to wait. He reacted poorly after this but the lady inside was pretty rude to him. Next guy had finished his drink while waiting for his food so asked for a refill; the lady said they don’t do that and closed the window. He knocked on the window and calmly told her that he would pay for another drink then. She seemed to want to tell him no again for some reason. Then I get my food and drink with no issues but I notice there’s been someone waiting much longer than I. He was an UberEats driver that didn’t speak English well. I had seen him attempt to show her his phone several times while I was there and she kept dismissing him. Being a Spanish speaker, I was happy to translate and I told her that this person has been waiting a long time and even I got my food before him. She said he has to wait because he was UberEats and not her priority until she finishes all of their other customers (the never-ending line waiting to order at the walk up window and the line of cars coming through drive thru). After waiting a little longer and having someone call the checkers location to no avail, he decided to cancel the order. I completely understand being short-staffed and overwhelmed but there was no need to be rude or discriminate/ take advantage of someone that speaks a different language. Oh and also someone had placed an order through the drive thru but when he got to the window, it didn’t process and they made him go back around to re-order and wait behind the line of cars that had since formed. He ended up just driving away.

    OMG avoid at all cost if you go to the walk up window. You will basically be forced to wait until most of the drive thru customers are served ... You are treated as a after thought. Rude service!!! Seek out the Golden Arches or Burger King for a much better experience

    I would love to rate this Checkers at ZERO stars, but the review status says 1 star is the lowest I could rate this place. Customer Service was Very poor!!!! The drive thru cashier had a negative attitude when I arrived at the window. The kitchen looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in weeks! This was a bad experience visiting from Houston, Texas the first time in Miami, Florida. I truly see why the 1 star is winning for this Checkers location!!!

    I always wanted to try this restaurant after seeing it on "Undercover Boss" and I liked the burger I had. The service was fast and the food was hot, especially the fries. I wish I could open a Checkers in Sheridan Co. The community would LOVE this! Rather than WhataBurger or In&Out.

    I live a block away and never been here before, due to the fact that I don’t eat much fast food. I’ve been to the Burger Kind across from this and that place is truly disgusting. Having read the negative reviews about this place... came without much expectations and left with positive view. The staff were friendly and nice. I order a combo that came with one beef burger and one chicken sandwich. Both were decent. The fries was also decent. Price point is very affordable. There is outdoor seating. The only things I would advise you against is getting the 2 for $3 or 2 for $5 deals. I tired the cheeseburger and fish sandwich and it was disgusting. The fish sandwich is something you should stay away from in all categories.

    First time there I stood in the sun for 20 minutes with no other customers and no acknowledgement from any of the staff. Some goofy toothed dude just kept staring at me knocking on the order window. Decided to try again. 8 minute wait but the girl was polite. No pickles available so she gave me some extra onion. It's a total hit and miss. The only people that don't miss are the customers throwing their food at the window.
