Overall, my experience was great. I went in for abdominal pains and found out from having a CT that I had a kidney stone. I also had other tests taken which were were not explained to me. The staff was very kind and caring. The only concern I had was the lack of information I received from the results of the tests which were taken. I had to inquire about these results from the nurse as I was leaving. I feel that it should be a part of the doctor’s responsibility to sit with the patient before being fully discharged. Whether you realize it, or not, you do have patients who do have an interest in their test results. Please stay a bit longer with them and make sure ALL their questions have been answered before discharging them.

Walked in at 9:30 pm with severe kidney pain. Was triaged immediately and given a line for blood draws and IV. Sent back out to the waiting room to wait. A lady in the waiting room that was there before me told me she had been there since 6pm waiting. I asked the nurse if I was going to be seen soon and she said they were only taking life threatening emergencies at this time due to short staffing. I waited until 11pm and finally walked out. I can't believe this place is even still in operation. Sycamore ER sucks!! They will let you suffer and possibly die before they even look your way.

I went in with a first-time allergic reaction to a bee sting including throat and tongue swelling and tightness in my chest. I eventually left after two hours of waiting. There were people there ahead of me waiting for 5 hours already and no one was going back to be seen. I understand short staffing but they should have been realistic, and given my symptoms recommended going to another nearby campus with shorter wait.

Not impressed with the staff!! There were only about 4 people who were genuinely nice. The two ladies that took my foot X-ray were great! The ultrasound tech, he was very respectful and nice! Also, a girl named (I believe) Rebecca. She had the most beautiful, long, thick hair. She was very sweet!! The PA was rude, the Dr was okay, but he was in such a rush. I felt like he “had” to come see me. So I felt like an inconvenience. Other than that, I sat in the room and felt like I was being ignored for the majority of the time and I wasn’t taken seriously. I felt like they were blowing me off. My pain level was off the charts and I felt like they either didn’t believe me or didn’t care!! Your hospital could take some lessons from Greene Memorial Hospital in Xenia!!! Their entire staff…all the way to the cleaning crew is extremely polite respectful, and caring.

I was seen in the ER for an URI and fever that was lingering. I didn’t want to take a risk of it being one of the prevalent infectious diseases going around. From the front desk person, to the last person who helped with my discharge, everyone was so nice, professional and helpful. Before my discharge, the doctor made sure he had addressed my concerns. I felt so poorly but they made sure my process was quick and comfortable. Highly recommend Sycamore Hospital

This was my first E.R. visit at Kettering, Health Miamisburg. Within 2 hrs. I was headed back home. EVERYONE working there was so nice, compassionate, gentle and very professional. I had X-rays, an exam of my back hip and head (I fell at home) and an MRI. It didn't take long to obtain the results. I was kept informed, via text messages every step of the way. Kettering Hospital(s) are the best. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else.

The Emergency Room was clean and welcoming. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I felt listened to and valued as a patient. I was seen very quickly and treatment began right away. Communication was really good and presented in an easy to understand manner. I would definitely recommend this hospital and will absolutely return to this location.

I had a wonderful experience. The entire staff was kind, courteous, and professional. The front desk nurse who acknowledged me immediately had taken my vitals, asked the appropriate questions and generally cared about my situation. I was assigned a clean room. The housekeeping staff was obviously top-notch. The nursing staff did a fabulous job of getting my needs met. The techs who took my tests were great. The staff who I had contact with that day, even registration and maintenance, and the staff behind the scenes were excellent. The administration staff who assure this huge organization runs as smoothly as it does, deserves accolades. I am absolutely convinced that #1 I am blessed to even have access to this facility and #2 that whatever the employee's profession is at Kettering of Health Miamisburg (Sycamore) it is a privilege to be associated to this institution. TL;DR I had a positive encounter. I am a frequent flyer here. I will try to take some pictures next time.

I waited in the waiting room for an incredibly long time. I was taken back and blood and labs were taken and ordered immediately, however, I waited 5 1/2 hours to get any results and to have a final CT scan. No one came into the room to let us know what the delay was from, my husband had to go out several times, because my IV was alarming. No one came.

I went straight to the ER from my doctor visit. From an EKG, they thought I had a mild heart attack. The staff took me right back and began working on me. Lots of blood work, another EKG, and an xray of my heart. Everything came back just fine. The staff was very kind and efficient. I LOVE ❤️ Sycamore hospital

The worst visit to the ER I've ever endured. I have a neck/head injury def need a CT to make sure there was no bleeder. We waited 2and a half hours. So I checked with the nurse and she said it could still be hours. I'm leaving, so we went home I've got a test up there today so I'll see what Er looks like. Short staffed is being kind.

The wait was long which could not be helped. It was a busy evening. But the staff was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and thorough. I felt like I was in good hands the entire time. Very thankful for the individuals who work so hard here, even at 2 am.

The communication was terrible. I was in a lot of pain and waited almost 2 hours until we asked what is the time frame. Only to find out that they do not have any beds and they have no idea. But, a young lady came in 45 minutes after me and because she knew the staff she was able to go to the back and was in and out within 20 minutes. I’m not sure why they thought that was ok, but it happened. They should’ve told us they were full and do not have a time frame on when the next person could be seen. It was an awful experience. We left and went to Miami Valley South where I should’ve gone in the first place. We got in within 10 minutes. Customer service was amazing as always. I should’ve trusted my gut and went there to begin with. I understand hospitals are busy, but the customer service should be top priority and it wasn’t on the list for them at all.

Upon entry to the hospital I noticed everything was clean and in order. The nurse working up front was very attentive and seemed genuinely concerned about my visit. They were diligent to get me back to read my vitals and find out what my visit was for. The nurses and x-ray team were very courteous and adapted well to my mood. Dr. Banda was very pleasant to talk to and made sure I was clear on what was happening and what to do to resolve my issue. I was in and out, but not rushed. The whole team made sure I was aware of the next steps to properly heal, and they even called in my prescription for me. If only the pharmacy was as good as the hospital I would say it was a flawless day considering my circumstances..I definitely recommend this hospital.

Great service. The doctor was very professionally and new what to do. The nurse that I had was very caring and professional. I couldn’t ask for better care. All of the employees that I seen was very courteous. Highly recommend this facility.

Brought my husband here a few weeks back and our daughter yesterday. Both have had ongoing stomach issues that became very concerning. Both times visiting this ER everyone was so very kind and helpful. They even got us referrals to the doctors that could better serve us. Thank you for the kindness and service!

The emergency room was incredibly busy. I thought the staff did a phenomenal job prioritizing the use of their time. I was sent by the wound center and fully understood I was not as big a priority but they still took awesome care of me while working their tails off. Great job. Never had a bad experience with Sycamore

The ER visit (Sycamore Medical Center) was a reassuring experience. Waiting room had scant visitors, check-in was prompt, staff efficient and courteous, appropriate wait time between tests, and doctor provided an option of going home or staying overnight if this paired with my comfort level. Appreciated this reasoning because anxiety can sometimes be high during medical unknowns. This staff deserves colossal kudos!

Everyone was efficient, professional and showed concern for my health needs. Appropriate tests were run and I stayed informed of results. I was listened to and details of my condition were surmised by examination and a series of questions. Repeated questions as necessary. My main caregiver was a PA. I did see a doctor for a few minutes. I feel the doctor supervised behind the scenes if required. My visit was about 6 hours in length yet it didn't seem that long. I was never left unattended for long, was informed of actions and diagnoses along the way. The whole staff was quick to respond, even the registration personal who provided a barf bag quickly when I requested it. I was brought by ambulance given the weather conditions and the pain levels I was experiencing. The 2 man staff was very courteous and offered me choices as I knew my capabilities to walk in the snowy conditions or not. My vitals were checked and I opted to sit in the ambulance rather than lay down. They were careful that I was supported every step of the way in order not to fall. The pass off to registration was quick and easy given my information was in the system having been a patient before at Sycamore.

Of course no one likes visiting a hospital but my visit at Sycamore Hospital was necessary. The nurses doctors and staff were very attentive and explained thoroughly what needed to be done. Though I was there for some time they made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. Before leaving they made sure to explain why I needed certain medications and how they were to be taken. I was very pleased with the care I got there!

Hello, They were fast, efficient, and answered all my questions and concerns. They also tossed in a reassurance or two. I was only there for a rather ordinary dog bite (my dog started the brouhaha with another dog at a dog park, and while pulling them apart, the other dog got me good}. The Nurse Practitioner even looked at another issue, for free. it appears, and the X-Ray revealed a condition I didn't even know I have. Anyway, a few stitches, a nice wrap and I was out the door. Thanks, Guys! Fred

Couldn’t have asked for better staff! My son is literally terrified of all things doctor so when he sliced his ear I had no idea how we were going to get it taken care of. Every single person that we dealt with was AMAZING! From the officer, buying him an ice cream, to the check in staff, the nurse and the doctor. I wish I had taken the time to remember all of your names, to thank you personally. You guys are the best! THANK YOU!!!

I want to give praise to Mary last name? She was working the registration desk when I came in the ER. She was quick and after taking my information she said I’m going to go ahead and take your blood samples because I know what they are going to ask for and it saved my wait time. When I got in my room I found out that Mary was also my nurse. She was Awesome! She helped me with my gown while explaining to me what they would be doing. After the testing and figuring what was wrong I was getting ready to be discharged. Mary came in and noticed I was in pain. She said did they give you anything? I said no. She said I’ll be back and went to check with the doctor. He approved me to have some pain meds. It was such a relief. I guess I should have asked for some. I believe I should of had an IV also but by then I was ready to go home. I am truly thankful for Mary and hope you give her praise for being a great nurse!

Absolutely amazing staff. I have a lot of health issues. I explained everything walking into the emergency room. Everyone was completely receptive. Took care of me so fast so thorough. This emergency room was so excellent. I appreciate them. 🤗

While the wait to be helped was incredibly long - almost 4 hours, (they had to take vitals twice as the time on the first ones had expired) once we were into the emergency treatment room, things happened very quickly and efficiently. Diagnosis and lab results are done and read quickly and we were on our way home much sooner that we expected. Kudos to all the staff!

Almost a 2 hour wait for a treatment room. Doctor saw me quickly after but really was not very personable or caring. The support staff of nurses and imaging personnel were great. Spent a total of 5 hours there but could have left an hour earlier if more nursing staff were available. This seems to be the norm as I have been to this ER quite a few times.

The greatest staff ever. Very friendly, informative and comforting. Dr. Corker and RN Evan are the best. There were two other ladies and one gentleman that I encountered there that are great as well. They were all pleasant. Even the front desk guy was great. Thank you all.
