If I were to base my review on the nursing staff, I would give it 5 stars. The nurses were compassionate, patient, understanding, knowledgeable and kind. However, the toilet in my room stopped working, I was given a bucket by maintenance to flush it myself until it could be repaired. Many of the nursing staff found this appalling (as did I), but, we were told, there was no immediate solution in sight. More than six hours passed and the toilet was not fixed. I then took a shower and the drain did not work, so the water poured into my room flooding my room. I was told there was no other room available. Clearly, the Sycamore facility needs attention. The nursing staff however, is excellent. They worked to problem solve and to make my stay as comfortable as possible in spite of several maintenance debacles. Although at times I felt I was in a primitive hospital without functional plumbing, the nursing staff continued to be professional and push for solutions.

entire staff and facility was outstanding. New to the area and first time being at this hospital and both my wife and I were very impressed. Beautiful facility and every member of the staff was friendly, courteous, caring and prompt when needed. Was transferred here from ER in Springboro and had to stay overnight for next day unexpected surgery. Definitely one of the best experiences at a hospital I've ever had. Keep up the great work.

I went to the ER for COVID symptoms...I tested positive at home...needed the experts to tell me if I had done the test correctly and if there was anything that could be done for me. The made me comfortable gave me an IV medication and several other medications I take for my bronchitis. After waiting the proper time frame I was able to go home. The nurses, doctor, radiology and registration were all great.

The entire staff was fabulous. Always made sure I was comfortable and I had what I needed. I also liked how they explain every medicine and what they were for and side effects I could have! Thank you to surgery team and recovery team and the entire 3 W team! I appreciate you so much!

I have mixed feelings with my experience. The care I got in the ER is what I was bothered about. I felt as if they did not take me seriously. There was a nurse who was VERY unpleasant! Everytime we interacted she was short and when my spouse tried to talk to her she was rude to him as well. My monitor went off several times and he had to step out and ask for help. They never once came in to check on me. I begged and told them something was wrong when she asked me to roll over, I told her I couldn’t she made a rude comment about “well you got into the bed didn’t you.” I ended up getting admitted, the care there was great. I had emergency surgery the next morning and the staff there was great as well. Either way I am okay and home healing. I plan on going to the main campus in the future.

The nurses that took care of my mom were the best we have ever had! And even though this was a very difficult time for our family we felt loved and cared for as much as our mama! There were many other things about this hospital experience that we found to be above and beyond! For example the shift change reports in front of family and patient, even though the room was quite small and family stayed 24 hours a day we were never made to feel like we were a bother or in the way, the personal menu ordering and delivery felt like a restaurant and the food was FABULOUS!! All in all it was definitely a five star experience!

I had surgery and a 1 night stay. This is the first time that everyone was very nice and attentive to my needs. I will not have a surgery in any other hospital. I gave it four stars because I only stayed 1 night.

Very nice staff. Clean facility. Very thorough in answering questions and concerns. I'd have surgery there again any day. They were even attentive to my husband and the cafeteria had good food according to him.

This has been a great experience great team work. When my husband was first brought in he was so hot and Beth went out of her way to get a fan, you can tell she really enjoys taking care of her patients. And when he came off the feeding tub there was a mix up on dinner and Richard went out of his way to get some food. And what can I say about Christian always had a smile would always come in and say bye when time for him to leave. Great team work all around. When time to leave Everette made sure he was ready to go

My husband was sent to the ER. The nurse and surgeon were incredibly kind and compassionate as we decided on the course of my husband’s treatment. They both spoke to us in terms easy for non- medical people to understand and spent a great deal of time giving pros and cons. Hospice was the decision, and while we waited for a transfer to another facility to get hospice care, the staff, both nurses and caregivers, were also very supportive and responsive to our questions and to his care. I could not have asked for better treatment during this difficult time.

I had great care from the moment I stepped through the door. I was rushed to surgery and then felt catered to for my overnight stay. The staff is amazing and friendly. Every single person puts 110% in every single day and I am grateful. Bless you all for the work you do.

I had the gastric sleeve on 6/20/23 and the whole experience and hospital stay was wonderful. The staff was kind and very quick to come to me when i needed to get up to urinate and walk around. They were cheering me on as I was making my laps. The next morning, both drs who did the surgery came to see me well before 11am and I was discharged by 11:30. This is my first major surgery and I’m so glad it was done at sycamore.

My mom is currently a patient at sycamore for pneumonia. She’s had it before and with her other health issues we were all very scared. However the care is phenomenal, and the woman who walked me to my mom’s room was amazing. She helped me stay calm and to think positively, she also was very kind and helpful. Staff is amazing, and I’m happy she is at such a great hospital getting amazing care.

The doctors were so kind and explained things to me that I didn't understand. The nurses were just the best, above and beyond, so kind and understanding. I wish I would had came to Kettering sooner. Heck even their food was good. 🙂

The staff at Kettering Health Miamisburg was phenomenal. Receptionists, doctors, and especially my nurses were very informative, thorough, and attentive during my experience. They made sure I understood what was going on, happening next, and that they were there to help me get through it.

Everyone was great! Minimum time in waiting area before getting into ER. Doctors & nurses very helpful & ALWAYS asked if there was anything else they could do for me. Newly renovated room (3319) was SUPER!!! Nurses were great (especially nurse Angela who always explained what was going on and what I could expect) Food service was good. Environmental kept the room clean. All were friendly and made my stay a pleasant experience. (Or as pleasant as it could be as it could be considering the circumstances)

The ER department were all fantastic! They assured me that I wasn’t dying and got my problem quickly under control. Moved up to the third floor and nurses Lilia and Stephanie were just so, so great. I could not have been in better hands. Thank you all!

From the moment I came in the doors at Sycamore, my experience was wonderful. All three of my nurses, Brandon, Brian and Denise did an outstanding job. Denise went above and beyond. My back was bothering me in between my shoulder blades and she said give me a minute and we can try something. She came back with a massage/thermo gun. She used it on my upper back and left it with me if I wanted to use it more. Denise is a top notch nurse and deserves being recognized for being so great. Brian come back for his next shift and didn’t have me as one of his patients but still came in just to see how I was doing and should be recognized as well. Having emergency surgery wasn’t what I was planning but I’m sure glad I had the best nurses. Thank you Denise, Brian and Brandon!! Shannon Burton

The nurses on 2120 were I stayed were very nice. However, my first night there I did not receive ointment around my nose for covid respiratory prevention. I also was not able to shower or bath the whole stay there. I asked and was told there was no bar soap to use soap on the wall. 😪. My bad was never changed. Other than that the staff was great and had great beside manner. Thank you all for taking care of me.

WOW! My mother-in-law was in the hospital for 5 days and her care was Superb in every way. The nurses were EXCELLENT- They all deserve a "Daisy Award". Not only did they take care of her, they made sure we were comfortable. The Doctors were caring, thorough, and made sure all of our questions were answered. All 4 of her kids are highly impressed with the care and attention that the entire staff gave. Again THANK YOU

Everyone was very kind and empathetic. They were quick to diagnose my daughter’s appendicitis, and quick to perform the surgery before things got worse. They explained everything and answered all of our questions. They made sure she was OK before discharge. Discharge information was clear and easy to understand. We were very pleased.

I received the best care possible & in any of my previous hospitalizations. The great nursing care after an extremely delicate operation on my cervical spine was kind, caring and efficient. My speech, occupational & physical therapists were great offering encouragement & a well planned 3 hour per day rehab program which has allowed me to return home with confidence. Dr. Ryan Hinman was my attending physician & did a fine job as well. My sincere thanks goes out to the Sycamore Hospital 3 West team for the wonderful care I received.

I had an amazing experience at Sycamore this time. Everyone was so helpful. Nurses and staff always helping and checking on my needs. It was like a revolving door. Great doctors! All took their time with me and explaining. I was very impressed with this hospital. I’m glad we have another great medical facility!

I couldn’t have imagined having my first surgery anywhere else! From environmental, to nutrition, to nursing aides, to the nurses, to my surgeon ….. everyone was truly amazing! I always felt like I was getting the best care and that my voice was heard! My day shift nurse Cara and my night shift nurse Ashley are 2 that always went above and beyond!

I have nothing but good things to say bout Sycamore hospital. My family and I have been going there for over 10yrs now. They have always took very good care of us. Personally I have had @ least 4 or 5 long stays there of over a wk and I have to say I was taking care of great. They were always there to answer my questions and to tend to my needs. I had Dr. Harvey the times I were there an I think he did everything he could for me an I trusted him very much. He has very good bedside manner an is personable too. You don't find many doctors that are both. I would certainly recommend him. As a result of his recommendations I followed i'm doing very well, so kudos to Dr.Harvey and Sycamore Hospital. My stay was good. Especially my night nurse she was exceptional, D I think was what her name was, She was there for me everything I needed every time I pushed my button,Sycamore is the only hospital I go to when I'm sick I allways feel safe and well taken care of. The doctors are the best they don't just run in and out, they listen to all my concerns. Thank You

Nathan! AMAZING! Easy to talk to and always listened. Never made me feel bad if I said I was in pain, great nurse! Sunny sweet, very nice just a little scatter brained. Took a long time to always return after saying she was going to do something. Brandon…. Didn’t know what mesh panties were. Overall nursing staff was good, just really sucked having an 80yr old roommate with dementia! Thanks Nathan and all of the other staff that took care of me! I’m sorry but I don’t really remember the ER nurses names but they were amazing too!

Impressive health care. Recently I had to stay for a few days at Sycamore. Infectious disease doctor was very good at giving a thorough explanation of what was going on in my body. By far my best experience ever. The night nurse Denise is so kind, caring and polite. I have stayed at several hospitals over the years and never had a nurse of her caliber.she deserves recognition.
