5 stars for their gyoza and cha shu! Must try when you are in town. Owner is very enthusiastic, friendly and is generous in his portions. Ramen is a bit different from what I am used to though.

Delicious vegan gyoza and ramen, yum!!!! The broth was umami and had a rich and savoury flavour. The gyoza were fried and so tasty! Local sake was great. A huge and special thank you to the owners and staff for making our trip so special. It was so nice to meet and have conversations and connections while waiting for our food (we had to wait for a table a while because it was busy). Thank you for accommodating vegans and for giving us yuba to try, which was sensational! A great option in nikko!

I have such a strong craving for gyoza, we walked 30minutes back tracked from our indented place to try. The owners and staff are very friendly. When we ordered the Chai Tea, they were so happy as they learnt it from their Indian friends. Must try their "circle-round" shape gyoza in my opinion. No regrets!

Amazing gyoza (we tried vegan, chicken and pork, they also have shrimp which was ordered in all other tables). The ramen is great as well (vegan and pork).

Really nice little ramen shop, one of the only reasonably priced restaurants in the area, and the food is great on top of that

Small friendly place. Try their spicy ramen if you like some spice. Not overly hot, more like Sweet and sour soup hot. They will use rice noodles if you are gluten intolerant. They provide a hearty lunch. Priced reasonably.

Great gyoza and ramen spot. As the other reviewers have said, the owners are very kind and accommodating. They have english menus as well. The garlic gyoza was great!!

It was a tiny house. It is not overly crowded tables, so you have your own personal space. Initially thought of having ramen. But they have beef rice set with gyoza. So I took that. The beef rice bowl taste like home cooked food. Not overly sauce. Depending on people, I like it since it is not too sweet. The gyoza was actually nice and juicy. It was surprising for me. Coz’ some gyoza are dry inside. They have limited seats. I gave 5* for the homely taste and feel. And like the gyoza actually. For 1000yen for this set, it makes me full.

Excellent place to eat with great prices. The gyozas are big and juicy with nice char. Ramen was also big and very flavourful. There are very few spot so there is usually a wait (we waited 25 minutes)

We were there the day after a public holiday and every restaurant in the area was closed except for this one. We were so thankful for the delicious ramen and gyozas, as well as the the cheerfulness and friendliness of the staff. They even helped us keep our dessert cold in their fridge. What a great place to have a nice warm meal.

If you are looking for a meal that tastes like at high end ramen restaurant, then look no further than Goyza no Umechan. I got the Inazuma Miso Ramen and Green Ginger Dumplings, and that flavour of the spicy miso ramen complimented the grilled pork and salty simmered bamboo really well. The Goyza was very tasty and fresh served with vinegar, soy sauce and spicy sesame oil. Amazing customer service and English menu is available. If you are vegetarian then you are in luck. I Highly recommend this place.

An unassuming little spot with delicious vegan ramen with yuba and gyoza. Friendly and low-key with hearty veggie (and meaty, if you’re so inclined) meals. Great location near the station. Very reasonably priced. They use locally grown veggies, too. The okra and cherry tomatoes we had were lovely.

Average ramen and gyoza. Pork is a bit dry. Not too fatty. The difference between soy sauce and char siu dishes is one vs five pieces of meat. You’ll be eating with other tourists who saw the high reviews and think it’s authentic. Later I learned Nikko is known for its yuba so why don’t you go there instead. Cash only.

In a very cold Sunday afternoon after visiting the world heritage site in the rain, we found this ramen shop opposite to FamilyMart. Gyoza are flavorful. Noodles were tender, the traditional soup was delicious, and Tom yum soup was well balanced.

Inazuma miso ramen tastes spicy and sour (very similar to "Tom yum koong", in my opinion). Miso ramen is also good. I recommend Kyoza and Tofu as appetizers. Overall dishes are "umami" flavor ramen.

The food is pretty good, I really enjoyed the chashu gohan. The sour spicy ramen is an interesting Japanese take on Tom yum soup, and the Gyozas taste homemade - go for the garlic ones. Do note however that the patrons are mostly foreigners, and the ratings here are made mostly by foreigners (myself included LOL). Regardless, this doesn’t discount the homeliness and sincerity of this (i think) family-run business.

Great gyoza stop on our way up the hill. I loved the Yuba (tofu skin) gyoza, but all of them were phenomenal. But really, why pick one when you can get them all! The staff were super nice, and really wanted our meal to be the best.

Spicy Ramen was one of the best I've ever had! Sold out of rice, would have been 5/5 stars!!

No doubt the best gyoza place I've ever had. All types of gyoza are delicious, juicy, and always fresh and hotly made. The staff is so friendly. Don't worry they provide English menu and also can speak English barely.

Best Gyoza in town and so is the ramen. Mild spicy with mixed flavor of Tom Yum soup.
