New management team is BAD. When they want you to sign or renew a lease, they are super friendly and nice to talk to. Although you pay rent on time and do not bother them for anything, they will harass you (nasty calls and emails) if they need you to change anything. If the staff is unwilling to work with the tenants in a reasonable and acceptable way, this leasing office job is NOT the right one for US!

We have been having REPEAT issues of theft happening in our building. The leasing office has been informed, SEVERAL times and nothing happens. We continually are brushed off and told they are "working" on solving this problem but time just keeps passing by. All we want is simple locks installed to ensure the safety of all residents & their belongings. We have been told it is too expensive. There in progress of installing a Amazon locker but it has been over 4 months and still no locker. We have several times had to contact Middletown PD because of packages being stolen. They are as baffled as I am by the fact that there are no locks on the doors to get in the building. Our issues are no where close to being solved, not being taken seriously by the leasing office and there has been no action taking place. I am tired of the apologies, just do something. Buy a lock at Home Depot, print some keys, and install it, is it really that hard? I can help you find some coupons if that is really too expensive.

We were spared from living in this place! We met with Melanie on a Saturday morning, she showed us an apartment that we liked and told us to hurry and do the application online to lock in the price since the apartment available had the extra study room or loft and those go fast. We desperately needed the extra space so we applied to lock in the price at $1941. She told us she would get back to us on Tuesday since she didnā€™t work Monday to finalize paperwork ectā€¦. (Not sure why someone else couldnā€™t reach us on Monday) Tuesday comes and now sheā€™s calling telling us that unfortunately because we didnā€™t finalized everything on Saturday and didnā€™t get keys on that date, the rate was different and now we could be paying over $2071 a month!! Not only are these people horrible at communicating, they kept switching the amount!! They were never clear, kept coming up with all sorts of excuses to not give us the deposit money back! Which is $500!!! Itā€™s their fault at not being professional and explaining things clearly, we didnā€™t move forward on taking the apartment and they expected for us to just gift them $500 for them doing absolutely NOTHING! After they gave us the runaround they expect for a family in need of finding a place in this economy to just gift them $500 in a matter of days of them doing nothing but giving is the runaround and now being professional or clear! I had to fight to get at least $350 back on ridiculous ā€œfeesā€ for just applying! They stood with the rest! Iā€™m glad we didnā€™t take the place, who knows how else we would have been treated after being tenants!

Pros: Huge apartments. Cons: 1- MANAGEMENT IS HORRIBLE. They did not give us the rent deposit even a month after we moved out. We had to fight for it. 2- Utility bills are crazy high. Approx $300 a month! When we asked the management to see the meters they were not co-operative at all. They will find any excuse to charge you an extra $70 for water, sewage and trash. They also have ā€œadmin feesā€! 3-They have 2 kinds of security deposits options when moving in. One refundable and one non refundable. They made us pay both despite meeting all their requirements. 4-You have to pay $150 for application fees to be on their waitlist. Despite this, there is NO guarantee of an apartment or the rate at which you fixed the rent. 5-Maintenance never picks up the call. Thereā€™re better apartment buildings around. Also, North Woods is almost the same management so Iā€™d be careful.

Been here for a month and at first there were some issues with communication while trying to sort out lease, etc. mainly, the office is non-responsive even when you ask for things in person. I can let that slide when itā€™s not so much of an emergency but after asking about pet rent being charged more than the lease agreement amount and asking for it to be fixed more than once and it still isnā€™t, thatā€™s extremely frustrating. Thereā€™s also very little flexibility for service calls. I have a non-people person dog and have to be home when maintenance comes in yet when Iā€™ve put in requests they arenā€™t very flexible when they can come in so I can plan ahead. Currently I have multiple issues and feel itā€™s not even worth it to ask for maintenance to come in because I cannot keep taking time off work. 1. My heat does not come on automatically even tho it is set to do so. Also the vent in the smaller of the 2 bedrooms doesnā€™t seem to work, it was 45Ā° upon waking up on one of the cold mornings recently but 65Ā° in the rest of the apartment. Had to sleep in winter clothes! And having to use a space heater because of this is only going to increase my electricity bill. 2. The toilets in both bathrooms are so crooked itā€™s clearly visible. This was noted on the form we had to fill out within 24 hrs of move in, sent pics and all but still a month later have they been fixed? No. 3. One tub constantly clogs no matter the amount of Drano I use. 4. The tub faucet in one bathroom is so loose there is a 1/2ā€ gap between it and the bath wall. 5. Paint splatter on all the ā€œhardwoodā€ floors - no drop cloth used when painting?? Bottom line, itā€™s a decent place, but luxury? Nah, not based on the upkeep which is borderline trash. Lots of talk about luxury this and that but as far as living here, I likely will think twice about renewing my lease. And itā€™s certainly not worth $2300 a month.

I like to live at Windshire Terrace. Well maintained property, great apartment layout, friendly and helpful staff, small gym, refreshing pool, close to the highways 9 & 91, grocery stores and bike/running path nearby, great parking situation at our building, free gas grills at the pool and fast snow removal service are just a few things coming to my mind immediately. I need to move out next year (job related) and I will miss this place.

Melanie was a wonderful leasing agent and made the process very simple. She showed us the perfect apartment for what we were looking for and was very transparent about the application/rental process. These apartments go for market rates (based on availability) so we were aware that although we waited to apply, the rate might change. Looking forward to moving in!

I was looking for the best place to live after a big life change. I went to quite a few different places and nothing compared to the apartments at Windshire Terrace. When I walked into the apartment, I said, this is home I can see myself living here. The staff was so wonderful and helpful through this whole process. I made the right decision when I moved here!
