I spent a week at the ticket to ride surf house in Sri Lanka for Ladies Week. The coaching was the best I’ve ever had. Every coach is so professional, helpful and most of all, so friendly and fun. As an intermediate surfer, I have developed many bad habits and their advice and video coaching has and will continue to improve my surfing hugely. My only regret is that I didn’t do something like this before. The house is so beautiful, the food is great and the staff are also ace. Board selection is fantastic, rooms are lovely, waves are soooooo fun! Everything great :)

Coming on the Ticket to ride 10 week instructor course was easily the best decision I’ve ever made. My surfing improved so much and I made lifelong friends. The coaches here are so passionate and helpful. My room was clean and comfortable and the food was to die for. I cannot recommend ticket to ride enough.

I recently had the absolute pleasure of staying at Ticket to Ride surf retreat in Sri Lanka, and I must say, it was an incredible experience from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by a warm and friendly staff who went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and enjoyment throughout my stay. The location of the retreat can only be described as a true paradise for surfers. Nestled amid the breathtaking surroundings of Sri Lanka's south, Ticket to Ride offers some of the most amazing surf spots. The instructors were not only extremely knowledgeable but also genuinely passionate about their craft, making my time in the water truly memorable. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced surfer, the retreat caters to all skill levels, ensuring that everyone is able to make the most of their time on the waves. I will undoubtedly be returning in the future!

My hubby and me stayed at the TTR Surfhouse in Sri Lanka 3 weeks in November and it was indeed the best and most professional teaching we ever had in our surfing! Really small groups per Instrucor ( not more than 4 ) professional and motivating coaching for all levels with everyday videos and analysing of your surf , always trying to motivate and push you even more! You guys do such a great job and we always felt your passion about it , put in the coaching!! Even me as a very easily scared surfer I am amazed about how every coach made me feel so much more comfortable in the water, taking me step by step closer to my end goal! I loved it! Also the Surfhouse and the whole crew, people and everyone else is just great! The surfhouse is very cozy and comfortable and really well organized! Rooms are great with AC, Staff is always friendly and helpful and you feel like in a family! We also loved the Yoga with lovely Rosie so much! Really helpful to stretch and release the pain after long surf days! We will be back for sure ! Keep on rocking like this guys! Cheers Christine and Janni

I can only speak from the perspective of a complete beginner and with that in mind, I couldn’t recommend these guys highly enough. I turned up with no surfing experience what so ever and it was exactly the antidote to the dreary UK winter rat race that I was after. Every morning session was recorded, so we were given the chance to analyse exactly what went right or wrong, with one of their delicious flat whites in hand. Then you’re free to enjoy a well earned rest, or join the group for an afternoon session too. I learnt so much, and quite importantly, you could see the team adjust the pace of learning to suit the individual. I could go on for paragraphs, but in summary: a truly brilliant week.

Arrived as Alex left as maxwell Staff supper friendly and are always up for a laugh. Coaches are brilliant lots of feedback and will always help you in the surf an out of it.

This surf school was awesome! I had the best 7 day surf course. The coaching was like no other. I learnt so much, the coaches really knew what they are talking about and have really good training techniques. The hospitality was amazing and the staff were very welcoming. The coffee was awesome as well :-) Highly recommend.
