This was wonderfully done! Great museum! They did a great job of showcasing the home, the time the Bushes lived there, Midland, and his presidency. I learned some new things. My favorite part of the home was the knotty pine walls and ceiling!

It was fun and loved the historical tour, and the tour guide was really nice and since there is like 2-4 people there an hour you don’t have to worry about waiting a long time (just pay and you don’t have to wait at all) and overall it was worth it. That’s why I give this place 5 Stars

We spent an informative hour touring the home. My wife and I were the only people on the tour, so we were able to ask lots of questions. Our guide was knowledgeable and very patient with us. Although he wasn't my favorite president, I always find that visiting their homes gives me a better understanding of the person that they became. There is no substitute for seeing the place itself, so you can get some hands-on history. This modest home, although upscale for 1950 Midland Texas, left me with a strong impression, stronger than any biography. Someone commented that there isn't a lot of history here. I disagree. There is a huge amount of history here. This home has been lovingly restored to the original condition, filled with period pieces, and appears very much like the original photos. I loved the 1950 refrigerator from Laura Bush's childhood home, which still works. I wish I had one of those-it is better than any modern fridge, with a foot operated door opener, lazy susan shelving and beautiful style. But most of all, it still works!

If you grew up in a small house, you can really appreciate this. Especially the doghouse. This is a culture more than a destination. Dynamic Characterization more than a historical documentary. ✌️☝️

I came on March 3rd, but they closed due to no availability of volunteers. I returned the next day at about 1:15. The guide was on break and I would have to wait 45 minutes for the next tour. So I left and returned at 3:15. Now they were filming a commercial and I had to sit and wait 25 minutes. I understand it's hard to find volunteers, but you can cut down on the volunteers needed since the home is small and could easily be a self-guided experience (just put in a couple of video cameras in some rooms). It only takes about 20 minutes to see everything. So skip the house across the street. Just station a volunteer inside the actual house to take the money and answer questions and allow people to see it at their own pace. That would be much improved.

This was such a wonderful little place to stop. Even if you aren't republican, this was so fun to see a presidential home! The Livingroom is all recreated, and meticulous care in recreating George W's childhood bedroom. Information available throughout the home about The Bushs involvement in the community. Tour guides very knowledgeable. Absolutely worth the 30 min to 1 hour tour.

The place is well kept. It's great place for kids to learn and see the home, Mr George Bush grew up as a kid. He was a fantastic 43rd President of America

Went there on Sunday 2-13-22 just after the 2PM time they were suppose to open. No one was there. Went back about an hour later. There was still no one there. So, all we got to see was the outside of an old (1940's) house in and an old residential neighborhood. A bit of a disappointment going all the way the Midland to see the outside of a little mediocre old house of a mediocre president.

Interesting just to see. Nothing spectacular, just nice. The visitor center across the street has a "Reading Room". Fun place for the grandchildren to visit. We got a big surprise when they told us we were welcome to each take a book.

We were in town for one day and thought we would tour the George Bush boyhood home. We are so glad we did. Our tour guide (Mr. Grey ?) Did a great job. We really enjoyed him.

Interesting historic site. Former home of George & Barbara Bush. 2 US Presidents, 2 State Governors and a First Lady all once lived here.

I got there after the home closed. I wish I could have seen the inside but still neat to see the home of 2 US Presidents.

Checked website the night before to verify hours of operation. Next day when we went there it was closed until 3pm because they were prepping for a fundraiser. There was another family wanting to visit same time we were there. They should have posted a notice on the website about the change.

We were refused a tour even though they should have been giving them for another hour. Nobody was there but us. Complete waste of time, money, and effort.

My mom, husband, and I kind of stumbled upon this place as we were driving around Midland. It was a great experience to walk through the house of TWO former presidents! We learned so much during the tour. The guide was very informative and let us go at our own pace. She was extremely friendly. We enjoyed the little store at well. We collect magnets from everywhere we visit and they had several to choose from! Both staff members were great to talk with.

Paid tour. So few showed up that the tour became a private tour of the small home. Lots of cool fun facts learned about the Bush family. Worth the visit. Highly recommended.

I would recommend calling in advance and making sure they are open: we tried getting in on Wednesday, at 4:15 pm when they should be open till 5 pm and there was noone there, neither at the home itself or the gift shop where you're supposed to get tickets.
