If your goal is to contract legionnaires disease I'd highly recommend this hotel! Rooms are cozy and smell like mildew, metal features are rustic and rusted. The bartender told me my takeout food was delayed because the chef was in the can... I walked out even though I paid for the food, no refund offered. Brilliant.

First the good: Great location - many things of interest within easy walking distance. Good service - staff was friendly and eager to help. Great breakfast - we are Hilton Diamond members so it was free. Good selection. Now the not so good: Rooms need to be updated. There was something brown smeared on the bathroom door. Looked like chocolate or maybe.....? It was cleaned off. Sliding glass door to balcony would not close all the way. Luckily the heater kept up. The bathroom is very small and cramped. Midland needs a top quality downtown hotel. This one is in the exact right spot. It just needs a out a $2-5MM budget to get a remodel and update. Probably now way that will happen though.

This is definitely an older hotel, but it does have a certain charm. The room was nice and clean. The phone in our room was not connected and that bothered me. The location was perfect for us. Sadly, as with a lot of service jobs, they were understaffed. There was one wait person in the breakfast area and it was definitely not enough. She was kind, did her best, but there was no way she could do everything in a timely way with all there was to do. She still tried and did it with a smile!

Indeed a good time was had @ the Midland Hilton Doubletree celebrating my "besties" 50th birthday šŸŽ‚The "rooftop" is a hidden gem and was an AWESOME space to utilize for a small to medium guest list. The evening sunset along with good friends, good food, and good music WE had a really GREAT time! #thumbsupšŸ‘šŸ¾ #hiltondoubletree #rooftopfun #downtownmidland #midlandtexas

2/5 I can't really recommend this hotel given some of its detractions but if you get a good price I would say it is acceptable for a night's stay. The location couldn't be better in Midland but the nice entry way of the hotel belies the experience you will have in your room. Rooms badly need updating in every way. Decor was old and worn, the carpet was torn in places, and there was water damage on the ceiling and in the bathroom. There are no bathroom fans so the room got very humid from the shower. The pool looked too dirty to use comfortably. The room had no fridge or microwave. There is a buffet style breakfast that costs $17 per person and a coffee shop in the foyer. Parking is free but very limited. Since I did not want to park on the street I used the valet service which gives you access to other enclosed parking spaces. Hilton needs to step up and provide this property with much needed improvements.

I went on a date night with my husband. Sadly I was miserable. The hotel is more than dated the pool had brown stuff in the bottom of it , my bathroom sink the water would not shut off all the way , the carpet in the room floor was moist and musty. But we said you know what we have the rooftop bar letā€™s make the best of it so we went up there and it was closed. We ended up leaving at 6 am and just went home šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜ the lady at the front desk was nice though

I stayed on the 17th floor with a very beautiful view. The room was nice but one of the smallest rooms I've stayed in every. The room has a modern look and was very comfortable. The bathroom had a slide door and was very spacious with up to date removable shower heads, marble sinks, well lit mirrors with a built in clock as well as hygiene products provided. Unpon arrival I didn't feel welcome. Felt more like I bothered the front desk clerk. Had a hard time checking in due to the hotel canceling my reservation. most hotel times check in is 3 and check out is 11 or 12. Since I knew I was arriving at 5am I booked and paid for a extra day in advance. All hotels Ive ever stayed only cancel you if you only reserve but don't pay in advance. I guess this one is different. Took over a hour to get our rooms back.

The good: Staff were all excellent in-person - friendly, polite and professional. The bad: I requested a fridge and microwave a week in advance of my stay and neither was in my room at check in. Finally got a fridge at 9.45pm that night but never got the microwave during my four night stay. Toilet handle broke and took a day for repairs. Co-worker had broken AC which meant her first night was in an 80 degree room. Underground parking cramped and difficult to maneuver. I didn't realize there were still hotels without USB ports for charging in rooms, but now I know! Would neither return nor recommend.

Just completed a weekend stay and sadly, it left a lot to be desired. Carrying the Hilton Double Tree name, I expected more than what was offered. The hotel lacked amenities. To start, valet parking was only there on Friday evening when we arrived, non-existent on the weekend. The lobby and common areas were extremely warm. The morning coffee station was something out of a Motel 6 with just one small coffee carafe with 2 different kinds of creamer. For a hotel of this size, they should have had way more coffee. There was no varieties of coffee either (bold, light or decaf). The restaurant and lounge areas were bare and had eerie vibes of a ghost town. The morning breakfast was extremely overpriced for what you get. Powdered eggs, fried potatoes that were cooked in week old grease, thin bacon and sausage patties that resembled hockey pucks. Not worth the $16!!! The rooms were basic with no mini fridge, or microwave. Again, NOT what I expected from a DT. The bathroom door didnā€™t latch or lock. The beds were comfy and the air conditioner worked well. That was about all that was worth it. All in all, the location is great, but the overall quality left a lot to be desired and didnā€™t live up to the Hilton brand that I am accustomed to. Itā€™s a hotel is need of major TLC. If I am ever back in Midland, I will look into other options before the Double Tree.

It has been 1 night out of 3 and I will never be coming back to this hotel. Parking is very confusing, no mini fridge or microwave in room but available upon request, however when you request it no one brings it or calls you back. Business center is ā€œunder maintenanceā€ and isnā€™t going to be fixed during my stay, so now I have to pay to print paperwork somewhere else. The restaurant has some pretty bad reviews so I donā€™t even want to try it. Very frustrating to buy food expecting to be able to refrigerate it, only to find there isnā€™t one in your hotel room. Then to have someone tell me they are sending it up and it never shows up, then when I call back they tell me ā€œmaintenance went home for the day and they have the keys so we canā€™t bring it until tomorrowā€. Never again.

Nice property but very basic rooms. No fridge, no microwave, no USB ports, no breakfast included and the computers (business center) and internet didn't work so we had to use cash for everything the entire trip. They don't even have a little store for snacks and toiletries like most places. No service was provided to my room between days. Pool water looked good but the sides and bottom looked filthy. They do have a great location across from a really nice park and walking distance to restaurants and shops.

This hotel used to be THE place to stay in midland. My how the mighty have fallen. The whole hotel is in a state of disrepair and the staff are barely present to say the least. The business center is inoperable with no time on restores service. The carpet is bubbling everywhere. The walls have patches peeling off. The down button on the elevator didnā€™t work on our floor. There was only one of two elevators working for all guests on 10 floors. The first day the elevator was FILTHY. The second day someone thought ah screw it and shattered a glass cup in the elevator. Iā€™m a native midlander and will absolutely not be staying here again.

We went with our friends this last Friday 11/17/23. We enjoyed some drinks at the downstairs bar. While putting our card on file I noticed that the bartender had charged my card already and so I asked why did it already run a charge through and showed her on my app. She giggles and says oh I don't know why it does that but everyone asks me and I'm not sure but it should go away. Well guess what... it did NOT go away and now I have two charges to my card from them. I called and talked to the lady at the front desk and she asked me for my whole debit card number. I told her no because the receipt it's only going to show the last 4 digits not sure why she felt she needed my whole debit card number... I gave her the autho number for the receipt. If they call back and refund my money I'll change my review. To make matters even worse I called our friends that went with us and after checking they were charged twice too. Sound fishy and like someone is trying to pad their pocket.

The bad: Was unimpressed all around. The poor front desk attendant was all alone checking in a crowd of people and juggling calls. Took 30 min just to check in and I traveled solo. The room door jammed easily from warping and I basically had to crash into the door just to open it each time. The safe was damaged and the handle was broken off, definitely not putting valuables in that. All of the linens and towels smelled of burnt rubber, definitely a dryer issue. The lights were dingy and struggled to turn on like in old horror movies. The shower grate was rusted. Also, breakfast is not free, even though the quality is about the same as you'd get anywhere else (eggs, sausage, biscuits, fruit) but a nice $15 plus tax and tip because theres no coffee station, a server has to bring the coffee to you. Im lucky my trip got cut short. The good: The AC works, and the hotel is conviniently located. Didn't get robbed. The downstairs and bar look renovated. The rooms are quiet and you cant hear traffic muor neighbors

We booked this hotel for our wedding guests only because of the location. It was convenient to restaurants and bars. I reserved 4 rooms for my family. One of the rooms was called the parlor and it was filthy. When we arrived, there a refrigerator on the floor outside in the hallway near our door. The refrigerator and microwave were dirty and the fold out sofa bed still had dirty sheets on it. One of the connecting doors had something crusty stuck to it. Housekeeping had to scrape it clean. It was really dirty. Housekeeping did not service the rooms daily, but only brought towels and left the clean towels on a dirty stained chair on the parlor. They only had one elevator working and the one that the one that was working, was very slow. The water pressure was low on the 11th floor. The food at the Eatery was terrible. The breakfast buffet was ice cold (according to my husband, mother and sister) and it was overpriced. $19 per person. We were told the Starbucks was open on the weekend, but Saturday morning we were told by the front desk that they were closed over the weekend. I will say this, Robert, the valet attendant was fabulous. He had a great attitude and was extremely helpful. Tammy, one of the managers came up to the room and saw the crusty stuff on the door and had housekeeping clean it. This hotel needs updating and the staff needs to be educated on ALL THE THINGS associated with running the hotel. And please tell your one of the girls at the front desk, not to call the guests "honey". It's condescending. We probably won't be staying there again. Midland needs a school there "THE CONRAD HILTON" school of HOTEL, RESTAURANT AND HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT. They need a little help. The hospitality industry is VERY IMPORTANT to a city. MIDLAND needs to improve their HOSPITALITY. I want to be treated special when spending money at a HILTON hotel or any hotel. The Holiday Inn had cleaner rooms and better hospitality when we stayed there last year.

My family had a private meeting room booked for a family members Memorial Service. Food and cash bar. The catered for (fajitas) was Not was not what was paid for only dry chicken and the cash bar beers went from $4.00 to 7.00!after ā€œHappy Hour ā€œ ended approx 30 minutes after Memorial began. For a private banquet room thereā€™s Happy Hour price increases?! No wonder your hotel is struggling, thatā€™s pure Greed. And now your asking the City of Midland for money to prop up your bad management practices???

The rooms were in bad shape paper peeling off the wall. Bubbles in the paper on the walls. No wifi at all the entire stay. For the price we paid, we could have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express and had a much nicer room and experience. I would not recommend this hotel. Cars raced in th parking garage all night.

Not totally disappointed, but my stay wasnā€™t as good as I had hoped. The staff was friendly but the building and rooms seem to be a bit outdated . Additionally, after checking in, it wasnā€™t explained to me that there were two towers with accompanying elevators. Because of this missed detail , I carried all of my luggage to the 9th floor of the wrong tower. When I couldnā€™t find my room number I called the front desk and it was explained to me that I had taken the wrong elevator and that I needed to walk to the other tower. Not a big deal, but slightly frustrating after driving 8 hrs . Once I got to my room I noticed there was no refrigerator, something I needed for my drinks and food I packed for the road. The young lady at the front desk was nice and accommodating and put in a request to have one delivered. Three hrs passed and no one showed up. It wasnā€™t until I called again that they finally came. As stated earlier, the rooms seemed to be a bit outdated and the bathroom was much smaller than I had hoped. The towels were sort of dingy instead of the crisp white that you normally get at hotels. After my first night I requested a clean up and extra towels. (Thereā€™s a sign that says complimentary room service upon request). After running errands for the day I returned to the hotel and nothing had been done. I called the front desk again and spoke with Tammy and explained that my stay hadnā€™t lived up to my expectations. She was extremely nice and gave me a voucher for free drinks in the downstairs lounge. I appreciated the fact that she went the extra mile to make it right for me. The workout room, dining area and lounge were nice and I had a nice view over the pool. I also liked that they have plenty of parking.

Room was a run down dump. You can tell this used to be a good hotel and was built well but has not been maintained. No hot water in the shower (shower drain backed up), black mold on the drywall under peeling wallpaper. And take a look at what was growing on my faucet!! Viking had bulges in it from apparent water damage. Unable to get internet working on 3 devices (just came from another Hilton property where I had no issues).

The hotel is rather dated and the bathrooms are tiny. The doors are such you have to step past the toilet to close it (double queen room). And I didnā€™t have hot water 2 nights. Mornings the water was back. Be aware the rooms donā€™t have a microwave or fridge. The front food place is alright and the bar has good food. Service was friendly as well.

While this is my favorite place to stay in Midland, some may fret over the limited nearby parking or the lack of refrigerator in room. I don't need a fridge and I don't mind walking. It's old school but very clean. All staff interactions have been very positive. Great place to meet with clients and co-workers. Five stars for my needs.

Parking was convenient. The pool was not very clean and the hot tub was non existent. Beware the hotel did not have a fridge or microwave. The restaurant was ok, and had a good breakfast, I did have to say for the made to order eggs.

Rooms were clean, beds were not uncomfortable. This hotel appears to be struggling to stay in business. Many items needed maintenance and attention. Pool is green, unkempt and closed in 100+ degree weather. Lounge was closed on a Saturday night. A/C is not working throughout hotel with the exception of individual rooms. Bathroom plumbing backs up inc. shower and sink, toilet bowl is not affixed to the floor, no mini fridge and only enough coffee for 1, street parking only. However, it's in a great location.

Only good thing about this hotel is the location an service. Have to admit the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and relaxed, they are attentive and courteous. Unfortunately, the whole place is extremely outdated, very dingy and cold. Bar doesnā€™t have a drink menu and lacks variety of wines. Food is average, youā€™ll find better food at any chain restaurant. The bar on the first and third floor are extremely dark and doesnā€™t have enough barstools. The bathroom for a 2 queens room was so tiny and the water pressure was terrible. The A/C is a wall unit, that is very noisy and turns on and off on multiple times. Canā€™t recommend this place for families or long stay vacations.

Overall pleasant stay. Bed was super comfortable. Ac works great. Warm shower. Only issue with the room was there was no fridge. Also the ice machine on our floor was out of order. Will be back in the future.

This is the place to stay when you want to relax. The rooms are nice and if you get high enough the view is breathtaking. There are 2 bars, one on the ground floor and the other is on the third floor with a balcony view of the George W. Bush park. We were on the 5th floor so there was a view. We will be telling everyone of our stay and that they need to go. Thank you

I stayed here for 1 night for a business trip. I had dinner and a drink, and the food was amazing. The accommodations were great. Very clean, and they even brought me a refrigerator for the items I brought. The staff was very helpful and very pleasant. I love that there was free underground parking.

The staff here is so accommodating. One of the nights we stayed they had a party in their bar/patio area. It ran pretty late and was a bit loud but Rena at the front desk not only switched our rooms so that we could be in a quiet area but also upgraded the room and gave us a free dinner. They were extremely nice about it and the general manager spoke to us because they had never had a party of that type before and really wanted to hear our feed back. All of the staff was so nice. Definitely recommend this hotel.

I travel to Midland/Odessa every other week for work. Recently I started staying here at this hotel and love it. The valet, coffe bar, and restaurant is very conveinent. The front staff is always courteous and the rooms are spacious.

Very clean room, comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Didn't expect the breakfast to be $10 when most hotels offer the same exact breakfast for free. Poor guy next to us only had a bowl of oatmeal, the waitress was gracious enough to go to the manger for him considering a $10 bowl of oatmeal would have been beyond unreasonable.

Staff and room were very nice. Drag racing noise in empty parking garage next door and large street nearby made it hard to sleep as it occurred 4-5 times a night. Pool on roof top was green and dirty. Unfortunately , not some place I can recommend if you are a light sleeper. Location was nice for downtown activities though.

The hotel was fine and the staff was okay, but the A/C in the room was a little bi-polar...either extremely warm or freezing. However, I selected this hotel because of the convenience of having a shuttle to get me back to the airport. It is listed on this hotels specific website and Hilton's description of this hotel that they have an airport shuttle but I almost missed my flight because when I went downstairs to inquire about when the shuttle leaves, I was informed that they did not have a shuttle and and haven't for years. When I showed the employee their own website, he was rather dismissive and laughed, then said: "wow, I don't know why they have that on their.....
