Overcrowded in a overcrowded city full of tourists. Avoid at any cost.

In one word crowded...goods left on pallets in the aisles making it impossible to reach goods on the shelves and extremely difficult to push a trolley around. It was like an obstacle course. Adds to the problem of social distancing in a store which does not seem to recognise mask wearing. All round, it was a very unpleasant shopping experience, the icing on the cake being only one checkout in operation with long, tightly packed queues or self serve with no partitions and one customer in top of another. Biedronka is a national chain and has a reasonable reputation, not that you would recognise that from this particular store, and has a large and good range of goods at competitive prices.
