I came to try a traditional spanish lunch in time of fiesta. Even there was almost full house the service was excellent and very quickly. I have to recommend everyone to try the traditional and local dish "House Platter" which was tenderloin pork with chips, fried egg, sausage and fried peppers. It is very delicious. The 'Frititos' dish with fried fish and squid was very delicious aswell.

La Butibamba is an institution amongst Mijas local eats - delivering no frills, tasty dishes including lomo (pork loin), the speciality of the house. The lomo with egg and potatoes (€9.50) is a hearty meal, perfectly seasoned and tenderised with a heavy tomato sauce, giving it the softness of meat loaf. The service is unapologetically fast and efficient. Less than four minutes passed from placing the order to the food arriving to the table. La Butibamba delivers good food, good portions at reasonable prices.

We were recommended this place by a local guy who has eaten here all his life, from being a kid. The service is great, the food is amazing (absolutely amazing!) and the atmosphere is great. I had pork, and I've never eaten pork like that before. It was soft, tender, delicious and it melted in my gob. Fabulous food. Definitely going back there again!

Quirky, very old Spanish restaurante (ie. operating ). No aires and graces, good simple food - a genuine Spanish experience. Something for the kids - they have serving robots which trundle about the place - do NOT rearrange the tables ! Response : this was a good review ! It is not the Ritz but other than that it is a very good experience. Many thanks.

Spanish restaurant with robots that bring your food to the table. This was a busy locals restaurant with a good selection of food and great size portions. Go when you're feeling hungry.

Excellent meat, we had the pork and chicken. They were both cooked beautifully! The local atmosphere was brilliant and a nice change from the tourist places of the Costa del Sol. If you're looking for upscale waiters in tuxes, go somewhere else. But the staff were friendly and the food was fast. Don't expect great veggies - these were nuked into mush. But if you're a carnivore, the pork and chicken are fantastic. And £22 for two entrées and a glass of wine is pretty good value.

Amazing food, great for local Spanish food. You won’t get much better in La Cala. The Lomo is legendary, the best around.

Surprisingly tasty food. The location is not the best (by a busy road).

Impressive and exceptionally authentic for one must know what one is eating or ordering so best go with a Spaniard. If the police and the ambulance crew eat there, then it must be good 😅. I wasn't impressed by the robotics

I've been wanting to go for many years as I've heard so much about it. I love the fact that they have a huge car park towards the rear. It must have been good because I've never seen so my Police officers and Ambulance crew have their morning breakfast with such a heavy meal that will sure last them many hours of the day. I just wonder how many times a week do they have this meal as it really was very heavy not forgetting that Baguettes. I wasn't impressed with the robotics having mapped out the restaurant overtaking manpower

There is a private parking for this restaurant around the corner. Great food. Had the butibamba sandwich. Half is plenty. Take the 2nd half away. Food was fast. Definitely recommend

A classic if you want to get very good food at reasonable prices. The specialty here is very tender pork meat but also has an array of different menu choices. This of course comes with an informal setting of construction workers and very loud conversations but definitely worth the try!

Best lomo around. Their sandwiches are massive so if your a big eater this is the place. They have parking around the side which is helpful during the busy summers.

Totally the place to stop for breakfast if you have to whizz somewhere along the coast. Mad busy, noisy, fast, fresh, good wholesome Andalucian breakfast dishes, great coffee - they do lunch and afternoon meals as well Parking can be a pain in the axle, but life is such for most busy places now.

We lived in the area for three years. This place is the true Spanish experience for Andalusian breakfast and fried see food. (Fritura Malagueña)
