I’ve lived in japan for 7 years and I’ve been to over 100 hot springs. This is the first one that I’ve been told to leave due to tattoos. Not sure if they are not gaijin friendly or just strict on the policy. I was told that most places don’t enforce the tattoo policy with foreigners, because obviously we aren’t yakuza. I figured it would eventually happen and honestly can’t believe it took 7 years and over 100 hot springs before it did. Nice place though.

Excellent amenities and a tranquil resting area. Multiple onsen baths both indoors and outdoors. None were very hot when I was there but very nice. Soothing minerals in the water and the grounds surrounding the place are also nice.

This is an only day bath spa with great decor and beautiful open air bath. But it didn't have a cold bath. The lighting in the lobby and reception area is subdued making it very relaxing. The restaurant serves good food.

Incredible decor, both outside (zen gardens) and inside (traditional Japanese house with various objects d'art). Some say the dim lighting creates the proper ambiance but the bathing area is even more dim, making it actually difficult to see sometimes. Visited in late November, but the water was on the cold side (even the showers). In short I'd say the experience was very worthwhile though the actual bathing a little less so.

The spring water here makes your skin smooth and soft. Really good feeling. The restaurant is good too. There is also a rest area where you can have a comfortable sofa with a small tv. The environment is relaxing.

Really great place to stop by. It's a "day" onsen. It had several hot baths to try, a massage department, and several places to sit back and enjoy your time. There is also a shop with products from the local area. There include food, souvenirs, and snacks for the road. Enjoy your time!

One of the best hot springs for me. Atmosphere, facility, outside bath, everything is perfect. Big car park. You'll face wild monkeys if you have a luck though I don't recommend because it's quite scary.
