It is one of the largest projects of this type in Poland, which shows and promotes the green face of Silesia and contributes to the protection of the rich nature of these areas. The Silesian Botanical Garden has been created since the mid-1990s in Mikołów-Mokre, among others, in the area of a former military unit. This place was chosen because of its extraordinary natural values, abundance of unique plants and interesting animals. Where the shelter used to be, a modern building of the Nature and Ecological Education Center with an observation tower was built. There are two audiovisual rooms, a library, a Seed Bank, laboratories and teaching rooms, and a phytotron, used to study the development of plants in various climatic conditions. Educational paths and plant collections have been created in the garden, e.g. ornamental trees and shrubs, heathers, vines, coastal and aquatic plants. A great attraction are the alleys of fruit trees, among which you can find old varieties of apple, pear, plum and cherry trees. The orchard is pleasing to the eye and will preserve the taste of old fruit for future generations. The garden is also an important center popularizing natural and ecological knowledge, as well as a valued research and publishing center. Thanks to the efforts of its employees, this place is eagerly visited by the inhabitants of the region, who come here not only for knowledge, but also for relaxation.

Interesting place. Not so crowded. Good for families with children. Good place for a Sunday trip. It looks more like a parque and not botanic garden. It is free. And that's fine.

It's a great place for you and your child. Lot of place for jogging walking and playing. Lot of fun learning about nature. Huge playground for child and cosy restaurant with nice coffee and ice cream. Worth visiting place.

When you walk in there's a nice path leading up a bit until you reach a sign that leads to a coffee shop (kawiarnia) or you can keep walking forward or right. If you go right there is a "Rose garden" but sadly it has no roses, only photos of roses on boards, sometimes with poems and quotes. The straight path leads to an ex military setup which now has become an observation tower where you can see much Śląsk (Silesia). The paths are lined with signs containing the names of plants that are near the sign.

Amazing place to spend some time in the nature. There is a restaurant and cafe but the most important, there is a lot of grass, trees and peace.

Free of charge. Very nice playground for kids. The walk in the garden was very pleasant and the viewpoint tower was an excellent final touch. I didn't visit the restaurant though so cannot speak about it. Would I recommend as a stop along your route. Defit yes! Would I divert significantly from route for this attraction specifically? Probably not.

A nice walk. Great views. In spring summer and autumn of course. The Winter smog doesn't allow you to see much. Wake up Silesia.
