Nice historic area to walk through, in amount the great street art unfortunately people have graffiti’d and vandalised bits! Obviously new things should not affect history!

I really like Roman ruins. 16 tall Corinthian columns are worth to see. You can sit under them and relax. That’s strange that I missed them when I was in Milano 2-3 times before. Must say I found them by accident. Just Sunday walking. In front of them there is a nice square and Basilica di San Lorenzo Maggiore.

While visiting Milan l I had a list of sites I wanted to see. This was the last one on my list. I thought I wasn't going to have enough time because I had any early flight. Fortunately, I was able to have more time and get a chance to see it. There were some great areas to shark very nearby as well. Also, there were a few nice restaurants one might have a nice dinner in.For more interesting reviews and places to visit check out @ricklemoinevip

(Translated by Google) The Colonnade of San Lorenzo in Milan is a very unique historical site that you just need to touch. But the visit will not be complete if you do not visit the Chapel of Sant'Aquillino, located opposite the colonnade. Its origin dates back to the 5th century. There are unique frescoes inside, but as you descend into the basement, the imagination is struck by the smell of antiquity.

Nice area. But unsafe at night. As a tourist do not visit at night unless you are secure that you are not able to be pickpocketed..

Quite old, well maintained. The place is like a plaza with some seating and a church next to it. Path next to this columns is a small passage and looks amazing when a tram passes by

Beautiful little square with the columns facing the basilica. We walked through here a few times and it's a lovely place to sit, chat, eat pizza and drink, especially at night time as Milan doesn't sleep til the early hours. There are handy information boards dotted around as well, providing a short history of each thing both in Italian and English.

It is not as nice and clean as the pictures suggest, but it is still a kice juxtaposition that columns from so long ago standing still and seeing all these modern buildings near it. It was a nice place to catch your breath if you're walking around the area, but it doesn't have a wow factor that makes it a "must see".

The colonnaded piazza is a main attraction after the Grande Navegli. Find yourself amused by the scale of the colonnades . A crowded place in the evenings. Surrounded by interesting vintage shops , narrow streets.

  • 5/5 Jude J. 2 years ago on Google
It was a calm and beautiful view of the ancient church, there were people sitting around in the columns just chilling. You should go there in the late evening for the best experience.

Not many ancient buildings are in Milan, so these columns are a must to see. Better to visit in the evening, because the light shows them in some mystic way. At night place is very popular with students.

The exterior does not give away the beautiful interior. Simple, stone and divine is what yoy feel inside. I was no impressed by the exterior, but liked a lot the layering - the two towers from the 6st century, kept in red, old brick. The fronton, was a bit out of my movie, and too much for me, it does not fit. But the site again managed to give me some of the old time experinece. The old greek style columns, and the wall created a nice ambiance.

Very cool atmosphere and gathering place. We did not go inside but the front square is an especially unique place to hang out in the evening with all the nightlife venue that surrounds it. Keep your eyes open for pickpockets and there are drugs being openly sold at night by young kids.

Old columns unloved by Milanese with dodgy looking people hanging around. Trams pass close by the outside too. Not worth going out of your way to see, but take a quick look if passing by.
