We went there with a small group, the ambiente is super nice and beautiful, just the food is too expensive for what you get. We got as an entry tomatoes and Mozzarella, for 15 € there were just 3 pieces of tomatoes on the plate and the Mozzarella cheese was super dry and bad quality (reminded pizza mozzarella). The cottoletta was good, but 30€ is too much for it, cause it has not a better quality and taste than other cottolettas. Also they charged us 7 coperti but we were 6 people and the birthday cake they bring us (normally birthday cakes in restaurants are free?!). There are for sure better restaurants in Milan, which are in the same category.

Awesome night! The location is fantastic and inside is even better with a mixture of classy, and laid back - especially the downstairs. Food was fantastic as well, with decent portions! The bolito was fantastic as well! Obviously the wine choice was extensive and varied. Got a 2001 Barolo from giovanni sordo which was the star of the show. Staff was also fantastic. Clearly knew there stuff, checked on how each table was doing and ended with a nice chat at the end! Fantastic night and would go again!

One of the best restaurants I have been in Milan so far! I LOVED the atmosphere of the place! It is an underground restaurant with a really nice decor, music… and the food was wow! We loved every single dish we ordered! The service was also marvelous, really nice and kind! Definitely will come back

Recently, I had the pleasure of discovering a hidden culinary treasure in the heart of Milan – Cantina Piemontese. This cozy and discreet restaurant, tucked away from the bustling streets, immediately charmed me with its inviting atmosphere. The interior design was a work of art, but what truly fascinated me was the enchanting underground floor. Our attentive waiter regaled us with the fascinating history of this space, once used as a charcoal deposit. It added a layer of magic to our dining experience, making it truly memorable. Conveniently located in the city center, just a short stroll from the iconic Duomo, Cantina Piemontese offers both locals and tourists an accessible oasis of gastronomic delight. The service was exemplary, with our waiter skillfully guiding us through the menu, sharing insights about ingredients, and suggesting wine pairings tailored to our tastes, rather than simply considering the price tag. It was a true art, and our waiter was a master of his craft. The food surpassed mere excellence; it was a culinary masterpiece. Each dish was not just a creation but a work of genius. The quality of the ingredients was unmistakable in every bite. I opted for a Mediterranean dinner, a symphony of seafood flavors that danced on my palate. Dining outdoors in late August was a delight, with a refreshing atmosphere that perfectly complemented the flavors of the food, even though we had to contend with a few pesky mosquitoes. To accompany our meal, we selected a bottle of wine recommended by our waiter, and it turned out to be a perfect companion to our dinner. In the end, the entire experience at Cantina Piemontese was nothing short of amazing, and it has firmly earned its place among my top dining spots in Milan. While the bill totaled approximately 160 euros for a two-person dinner with a 40 euro bottle of wine, it felt entirely justified considering the exceptional overall experience. In summary, Cantina Piemontese is a hidden gem in Milan, a culinary treasure trove waiting to be unearthed. With its charming ambiance, impeccable service, and extraordinary cuisine, it promises an experience that will linger in your memory long after the meal is over.

Cantina Piemontese is a wonderful restaurant that offers a warm and welcoming ambiance, excellent service, and delicious Piemontese cuisine. The menu features a variety of traditional dishes, including the Vitello Tonnato and Tajarin al Tartufo, which are executed to perfection. The wine selection is impressive, with a focus on Piemontese wines, and the dessert - a Panna Cotta - is a must-try. Highly recommended for a memorable dining experience in Milan.

Went there for a late dinner. Had a nice plate of tagliata and ragù bianco. The choice of Piemontese wines is great. There is a lovely terrace too. Totally recommended.

Service here is 100\100. They go above and beyond. However, the kitchen should not be underestimated. Split "shared" dishes get served already 50\50 on separate plates. Regional home cooked recipes are available off menu. And the wine list is incredible. Great experience, incredible decor, inspiring dishes with a mature wine list. Get in. Get on. Have at it.

The place is simply amazing. There are 2 floors, with upstairs being more modern while the downstairs is a cellar-type, with immaculate vibes, nice music being played, couches and tables, plus a decorative nice bar. The atmosphere is impeccable, and for the prestige of the restaurant, the prices are good. We had the pasta, and the menu is also very gluten-free friendly. I highly recommend the proseco. Would definitely come again when I am in Milan.

Wonderful restaurant located in the center of Milan. We dined in the outdoor garden. The atmosphere is enchanting and extremely welcoming. The service is excellent, and the waitstaff is always well-prepared for any questions. The quality of the food is incredible, from the appetizers to the main courses and desserts. Overall, a delightful experience. Highly recommended!

The most amazing restaurant. Excellent value, incredible food, perfect atmosphere. Everything on the menus was coeliac friendly provided you ask and the pasta was incredible. Romantic atmosphere for a night with a special someone. A must visit restaurant.

Ate here on our last night in Milan; wish we had found this wonderful restaurant earlier! Beautiful garden setting available, excellent service, incredible food, extensive wine list, reasonable prices! We started with a delicious and light prosciutto and fig appetizer, then enjoyed every bite of our main courses. She had the veal and I the grilled-to-perfection beefsteak; both were surprisingly large offerings that we almost could not finish (but we did...) Do make a reservation and do dress well; this is a small but upscale restaurant that will make a great memory for your visit to Milan!

A true 5 star fine dining experience. The atmosphere of both the cellar bar and dining room gives off an ethereal cinematic feel, with warm and welcoming staff. Excellent selection of red wines, a stellar negroni sbagliato. We had the duck bagioli and the venison tagliatelle which were delightful. We will make sure to return to this place when in Italy again, it left a definite mark on our hearts.

The restaurant itself was pretty and had a nice atmosphere. However the waiters weren’t as friendly as I would expect it in Italy. The food wasn’t what we expected. Mine was some kind of soup with tortellini in it, which was kind of strange. The soup itself wasn’t tasty and didn’t harmonise at all with the pasta in it.

Lovely decor. Cool atmosphere. The swordfish and pasta were amazing, tagliata was just ok. Overall more for the decor and vibes than food but still a very safe bet.

The food was fantastic alone but please **do NOT miss** the panna cotta dessert. One of the best desserts we had on our 3 week trip to Italy. It was out of this world!!

Wonderful ambiance and everything we ate - the lentil soup, the ravioli-, everything was delicious! If you try to reserve a table and get wait-listed, but it's early and near when the restaurant opens, definitely worth walking up and seeing if they have a table available. Say you are on wait-list.

Hands down one of the best restaurants in Milan. The place is very cozy and the service is really well organised, the atmosphere is elegant and the dishes are particularly tasty. Nowadays is rare to find a really good restaurant like this one. Absolutely approved!

Cantina Piemontese is one of the best in town. Quality ingredients and very tasty dishes, nice service, lovely interiors. I have taken friends and colleagues to have dinner here and can honestly say we were never disappointed. It’s close to Duomo but it’s authentic, not touristic, which makes it a rare find.

    Great food and wonderful wines

Delicious food, although pan-Italian, not Piemontese, more like Italy’s greatest hits. The wine selection really shines (perhaps this is why they call it Cantina Piemontese; had a delicious Barbera.) You’ll find some dishes from Piedmont but others are Roman, Ligurian, Tuscan, etc. Professional service and great ambience.

An amazing restaurant. Kindly service, beatiful ambiance, local atmosphere and good prices (compared to the quality of the food). Delicious plates, selected ingedients and great technic from the chef. One of my favorits in town.

The stuffed Beef Ravioli was amazing. This has been my second time since in Italy visiting the Cantina, and both times have been great, the only thing that truly bothered me was the wait for our food, but they make up for it with ambient lighting and a cozy authentic Italian setting. It's a must visit.
