What a gem! We heard about the Channel Marker from a friend, and had wanted to check out Syracuse anyway, so we headed to this waterfront restaurant/tiki bar. The decor is a fun mix of beach/lake blie and white with a full bsr inside and a Key West-inspired tiki bar outside. I need to see this place when the weather is nice! Service was excellent throughout. Quick on refills and to follow-up on food. They did everything right. The menu was deep, with options for fish lovers and those who don't love seafood. It had a nice range of less expensive options, and full market price options. It looked like most of everything was scratch made. The food was well prepared and had a good mix of flavors. The clam chowder was excellent. I could eat a big bowl of thwt on a cloudy day. The cup size made a great appetizer. The lighter fare fish tacos were excellent. I'm not a huge fish fan, but these were well done, with some spice hiding in the flavors with a mango salsa to blend in an island/Florida vibe. Tasty! My wife's sandwich was equally as good with a creamy coleslaw topping. Great combination! The key lime pie was superb. I'm used to ones so tart you could strip automotive paint with it. This was a subtle, almost custard-like pie with maybe cinnamon and nutmeg that paired well with the graham cracker crust. All in all, well worth the hour drive to Syracuse for a date meal. I need to see it in summer. I hear it's hopping!

The Channel Marker was amazing! We sat on the patio and watched the sun set while enjoying our dinner. I ordered the shrimp tacos and the sauce just made it the perfect blend of flavors. Highly recommend.

Good experience! Food was absolutely delicious and sitting outside watching the boats go by is a lot of fun. The burger I ate was called the "Out Rigger" and I would definitely order it again. The sauce had such an incredible flavor. An awesome and relaxing experience. I'll be checking this place out more often this summer!

The staff and food were amazing! This is one of the best places to eat in Syracuse and you will not be disappointed. The Out Rigger was on point and the flavors paired nicely. We will definitely be back!!

Islander Perch Basket was very delicious! Brother-in-law really enjoyed the stir fry. Cool atmosphere, friendly staff! Definitely recommend & will return!

My wife and I went here for dinner. We had an appetizer, I had a burger, and she had a steak. It was an awesome burger and would recommend. The steak was about a third fat. We had an awful time of constant waiting for refills. The waitress was slow, but can't say it was my worst experience ever. Would still recommend this place

Service and food were very good. Prices are a bit high. A lunch menu with lower prices would be a good addition.

Lovely view, service was really slow, the food had good flavor, but everything came to our table at room temperature. They were not accommodating to dietary needs.

This place sits on a channel. Went for lunch. Waitress took us to nearest table indoors on a beautiful day. Ask to be seated on the deck enclosure (outdoor dockside was unavailable) big mistake. It was filthy. My shoes stuck to the floor with every step. Table had food crumbs stuck between slats. It all needed a good power washing. And the napkin on my rolled up silverware, was dirty. Our service was terrible, however we saw several waitresses running their tails off. It was an eternity between ordering waters and a Bloody Mary and having them served so we immediately ordered appetizers. Lobster cakes & secret sauce were good. calamari was awful. Our lackluster waitress was nowhere to be found when we were ready to order lunch. Islander perch basket was very good. Didn't care for the coleslaw. Had to wait on waitress for bill and doggie bags. Wouldn't go back

We sat outside by the channel when a table opened. (You can make reservations for inside dining.) Our party of seven had a great time. Food was good and quick which was especially great since we were there at main dinner hour on a Saturday night. They are prepared for good good and good service even during “rush hour.”

Wonderful restaurant with lots of class for a lakeside place. The big prime rib you could make three meals out of easily. This is not your average lakeside bar and grill. It's a step above.

Great food and drinks. Service is excellent. The views of the lake are very nice. The menu is not overwhelming but has a great selection of food Our server Christy was there for everything we needed and didn't hover. She was extremely pleasant and friendly. She even came out front to help us take a group photo. I would highly recommend this place if you are in the area and looking for a place to eat and/or drink.

Been to channel marker 4 times now, this last time was the worst experience I've ever had there. The wait for food was crazy long, I paid $30 for a ribeye steak that didn't taste good at all, I ended up feeding over half to my dogs. Our server was slow, we waited for drinks more times than we had drinks. When she brought us our boxes, we waited another 25 minutes for our checks. Sat there twiddling our fingers while we waited. No word on why it was taking so long, when we asked for boxes we said we was finished. In the last 4 times I've gone, I can say this experience has made it the last time I will go. Which is sad because I really love a lot of their food. And it's a beautiful view too.
